I REALLY wish you would design a line of basic timeless layering pieces like the shoulder pad tops that you wear so often. You revolutionized my thinking on this - you’re completely right about shoulder pad tops. But great ones are impossible to find - different necklines, different fabrics and colors, loose fit vs a more tailored fit, longer and shorter versions. I would wear them everyday if I could find the ones I need. They should be the new bra - they could be that foundational :-).
And pls pls pls silk cotton stretchy breathable fabric in nude, white, black to cover all outfit! xx beside sizing it is so annoying that Zara never repeat good basics like the this and the divine lace white cotton blouse and blue leopard coat and the holographic bag 🥰
This has been the best cc to date, I avidly look forward to them every Saturday. It’s been so insightful and inspiring. Maybe you could do more on “boring” outfits that most of us wear all the time and how to make them cool/ timeless??? Thank you!!! Xx
Love this. Would love to see a whole video dedicated on how to style suits to get different more modern looks. Would also love to see Trinny style someone like Chloe rather than herself as Trinny has a model figure and Chloe is more like your average UK body size. Great to see Lucy back. She looks beautiful.
Would love this also. Im on the shorter side 5, 3 and 57 years old. But would like to dress on slightly edgy smart, if that makes sense. Would love to know how to wear shoes, ir blocks with dress, how to wear courts etc, and how to match hats with outfits and colour with makeup. Thats a lot I know but I really meed education lol
Lucy is the greatest as an interviewer… as she is asking some challenging questions. So happy she is back! And not every body type can wear chunky shoes (the length of the pants doesn’t matter ) and look cool. Some body types that are sharper or delicate for instance look very frumpy and awkward in heavy shoes, they need sharper or delicate shoes to honor their frames.
The legacy of Trinny (& Susannah) will be the ability to see all women, of all shapes, and working with silhouettes and colours, to bring out the best of everyone. That's truly magic. I still go back to old shows and watch them. But now, 20 years later, Trinny has taken it further. The art of layering is so clever, and it was invented by the Japanese designers in the late 80ies and 90ies. It's sculptural and architectural, and it actually suits everyone, not just the tall, skinny women. It definitely suits older women, as do the chunky boots and shoes. Iris Apfel, at 101 years, is the greatest example, of both colour and layering. Colour is so mood enhancing, and white, black and grey are colours, too. I love the graphic element of those colours. Trinny is definitely mood enhancing, what a clever lady. It's great to see Lucy again.
This was an excellent Closet Confessions! Would love to see one just for Curvy/Apple shape larger bust middle aged timeless dressing🙏. I would be so grateful!
I love Lucy for closet confession. She really listens and wants to understand Trinny points and expertise. Molly is great too. Gemma comes across as thinking she knows it all and doesn’t really want to learn from Trinny but tries to be all sweet about it. Please can we keep Lucy for closet confessions.
Nice to see Lucy again! It's fall in the northern hemisphere when the weather goes from freezing to hot in the span of the day. Layering to look good in any temperature that comes along would be a good topic. Also, non suit options for the office for those of us that don't like suits but need to look professional!
Trinny all the outfits were not only ageless , but in my opinion they are timeless, it's amazing how you can add or take away something and transform a whole outfit. I'm 65 and I dont wear anything tight, or short or too see through but could you maybe give advice on what you consider not appropriate over a certain age, or is it not what you wear, it's how you wear it, thanks for always inspiring and encouraging, 🌻
Tight around the neck is correct. I wear T-shirts backwards to get the higher line on the neck. Sundresses as well... it really makes them look more expensive and completel
I've learned so many tips from Trinny: trousers under dresses, longer shirts under too-short jackets, wearing color, trouser colored socks, belting, shoulder pads, and the list goes on. She's allowed me to consume less by styling what I have BETTER. Thank you Trinny for sharing your knowledge!
I'm enjoying these videos immensely. I'm nearly 66, 5ft 1in and size uk 18. I adore fashion. Could you do a video for short and stocky women? For instance a cropped ankle length trouser looks as if I have no legs
Every time I get a compliment for my clothes I have used your tips. I enjoyed when Lucy was tasked with interpreting last week's closet confession. fun to see different body types.
For info, I'm 58 and now pretty much retired...but I miss my smarter, work wardrobe! And yet I want to reflect my change in lifestyle and maturity. You do this so well!
I am so glad I found your show. It is so helpful to me as I am now at 63 having to construct a new wardrobe. Recently widowed and moved across the country (Canada), my clothes are in storage. So now I have to begin to build a new wardrobe. I find your show very instructional and love all your advice. Thank you for all the information.
👆☝️🎁☝️ Thank you for watching and commenting congratulations you have been selected in my draw 🎊🎉✨winners Use the above name on telegram to claim your prize.........(winners only)
Lucy looks gorgeous it is great to have her back also the beautiful Molly I heard in the background. Really enjoyed this one Very inspiring to shop in our own closet and change things up Trinny makes it seem so effortless The Trinny London team are all so gorgeous and fun What I'd give for a day in Trinnys closet with Trinny, Chloe, Molly and Lucy
There's just no other stylist around who does it anywhere nearly as good as you Trinny!!! Thank you for amazing and inspiring ideas for all ages🙏👏❤ However, is it really impossible to be cool and architectural with curls? I need my curls - otherwise I look bald!!!🥺
I love the Prada sandals and cropped pants, it looks so fresh and beautiful. I'm always in awe of your graceful, long neck! I'd love to see you invite all your followers to try what you do in Closet Confessions and to show the best ones in the next episode so we can see how it works on different people. I know you don't like skirts, but I have so many languishing in my closet calling out for your help! Thanks for the wonderful cc! -Beth in California
This is a (f'ing wonderful) master class. More please. So timely for our world now. Re-slow fashion...new clothes don't equal style. It's how you put it together. Learning how to have things more fitted around the neck helps me so much!!
Amazing with so many clear and focussed points for all to follow. Maybe some more points that relate to covering up fuller figures would be great. For example ankle length trousers or flaired trousers do they flatter shorter legs on a fuller figure? Trinny is a glamazon!
Definitely the best closet confession! So many gems of inspiration. Exactly what I need in my life to modernise my wardrobe without feeling like mutton..
Love watching u give an outfit the Trinny treatment. Always appreciate Lucy’s observations & questions, you work v well together. Adored that blue suit w darker shirt underneath.
Great points. I loved how you freshened the vibe of all of your outfits. Your gorgeous long, silver evening jacket elevated the entire look of the all black ensemble. Thank you for teaching me techniques to breathe new life to the pieces I have in my closet.
That was great. Keeping with the modern look theme, I'd love a video that addresses when to pool wide leg trousers at the bottom and when to stop at the ankle, including shoes for both. Thanks.
Trinny - I’ve watched your clever“how to dress cool” video several times in an attempt to translate it into my substantial wardrobe. It’s been a revelation! As a seasoned (older) woman in the entertainment industry who pays great attention to her wardrobe compositions, I am endeavoring to remain relevant in my appearance. I recently became a member of a London club at their Nashville House location where the membership composition tends to skew young and hip so I’m redirecting my wardrobe choices a bit. Please give us more videos like this. All of us eventually grow older but that’s no reason to throw in the towel. Dressing is too much fun!
Love this! Great CC as usual. Thanks TW. Great to see you back Lucy. It's great having all the different points of views of Lucy, Molly and Gemma. Different ages, different styles, different opinions.
It's one of my great loves to watch vids of your wardrobe, I especially love your coats. Clothes are my first love and because of my economic state I live vicariously through you.
This was REALL'Y good. The idea of cool dressing is one that I love but don't always execute well so these ideas are really helpful. Please do more like this. I would also love to see this with some different body shapes since everything looks good on Trinny!!
My favorite CC yet! Love the sculptural details and volume! I grew up in Japan and am obsessed with Japanese designers and this reminds me of that. 👌👌👌
Would love a video on trouser lengths and what shoes go with what length of trousers etc. Find these new wide trousers so difficult to style, when every top seems to be oversized also. Help please! 🙏🏻
This was great. The chat with Lucy made me think about style tips for Mums ( beyond active wear)dressing with a toddler ahhhh. I bought cheap plastic glasses because those wee hands were too quick.
Wow you are brilliant,I’ve just been doing a clean makeup look recently and changing the lip,ime 59 ,short and fat but still want to look timeless on a daily basis for work and life ,my pleasure of clothes ,make up and hair has not changed since I was 12 years old,so I don’t think it will ever ,thoroughly enjoy you enthusiasm 🎉❤
It is so interesting how I thought today of where is Lucy and when she will be back ,and here it is few hours later i am watching the new release with Trinny and Lucy. Thank you Trinny for always inspiring ideas I have learned so much from you. You are an inspiration !❤
Hi Trinny. I so enjoyed this video and love your tips on layering especially for ageless dressing. However this is very hard to put into practice when you live in Brisbane Australia. What tips do you have for layering in a tropical climate ? So wished I lived in London. I just love love love gilets jackets coats scarves etc etc This look is so hard to achieve in our hot weather 😎
I will be going through my wardrobe and see where I can apply these tips as a male. Love that Trinny is back on our screens and loving reading Susannah's latest novel which I saw reviewed on Trinny's channel.
I'm short with very glaringly long legs and I think the half tuck works to make my body look balanced as my sister's with shorter legs do. I would love to see that Japanese designer couture put together with your KOS look. Congratulations Lucy!
Loved this, but I would never be able to re-create. . I am drawn to knitwear this time of the year as I am always cold, and it is just practical, but it doesn't look good on me. Makes me look top heavy, which I am. I would love to see more on winter practical dressing please. 🙂
Great advice here. Been following these concepts myself since my 50s and my style has become much more minimal. Classic but not boring, timeless but modern. Accessories are key, playing with layers and colour combinations. I loved the yellow suit in both combinations, the first was elegant, those shoes and the second more casual, though I thought the dangly bits from the waist were too much, honestly Trinny, you look great and dress so well nobody is going to notice the longer torso in fact sometimes disproportionate works as an advantage with certain outfits. We should keep open minds about clothes and keep playing with the experience of knowing what won't suit us or last usefully in our wardrobes. For me comfort is key now, flattering and fun too. I've always played with one colour tops trousers and skirts looking like one garment, or making sleeves and lengths different. Brooches and pins can gather and pull in. Ohi love metallicsespecially silver but old gold and bronze too good neutrals. It needn't be a huge effort to look good either.
Oh Trinny, I love all of your videos but this is the best as far as how useful it is in my opinion.. So many of us have suits and it’s so nice to know how to wear them again in a way that looks cool! I’d love to see more videos on other ways to elevate and modernize suits! If you have more ideas for suits that would be amazing! ❣❣❣
This has just inspired me so much that I‘ll take the day and See whats in my wardrobe and how I can refresh it in a cool classy way . Thanks so much Trinity - and by the way you always look just fabulous. 🎉
Thanks Trinny for this CC its so helpful, I use your tips in this in everything I put together now and it works so well. There can be several if not many tiny elements to bringing an outfit together successfully but, its well worth the effort. The shoulder with pads and the sharpness of a neckline with glossy healthy hair and good skin care with a slash of colour on the Lip is all that's needed to give oneself some Vava Voom and raise your presence amongst others. Paying attention to these tiny elements, not relying on just one thing to do it for you is key to Ageless Timeless Dressing. Once it becomes habitual, you'll never leave the house quite the same again and always Dressed in a way that takes into account or considers a thoughtful process of your being out and about in the world and, how Art and Style factors into all of that. Your so right when you say its not about Designer Labels because, it can be done on the High St for so much less and, you and Gok have showed us so many times how it can be done so you look and Feel Fab. Its True it can be done for much less and, I like how you show us by giving us these pointers so we get the idea of how to do that. Thank you Trinny your tips n tricks are supa helpful and I use them everyday in every way I get better and better🙏🏼💐
I’m going to try that monochrome layering thing! But can I do a neat high collar with a big bust? I thought that was all about the v or scoop neck… Would love more about the fuller figure tweaks.
Trinny…I love your perspective and your ability to curate for a variety of body types. Now…would you please do a video that takes into consideration different lifestyles. Not everyone lives in a metropolis and needs suits or trousers. I love your wardrobe, but I live in Manhattan Beach, California, outside of Los Angeles. Beach life……but cool beach life!!! How do we take your suiting idea and make it work for warmer weather, though our nights get chilly. We aren’t Hawaii, but we also aren’t London. I know this is a challenge, and I hope you are up for it!!!
Really loved it. So intelligent dressing and looks really cool. I adore Cos. Please come up with similar ideas for those of us with not such great bodies and sizes 12/14!
I’m intrigued about what you called the deconstructed Japanese style. That could be a future topic how to add specific cultural elements without going full on costume. When and where that’s appropriate.
The Japanese style she is talking about is not that "cultural" thing like kimono, it's just how japanese design has develop into (also street style). Think issey miyake, origami, wabi sabi, one type of japanese design right now play alot with fabric/ geometric cutting/ texture and not constricted by human curve, so more oversize but still look somewhat tailored. Look up japanese street style for more samples
As someone else suggested, please get Chloe involved in these. It would be easier to see how it would work on a different body type than what you have, Trinny.
I REALLY wish you would design a line of basic timeless layering pieces like the shoulder pad tops that you wear so often. You revolutionized my thinking on this - you’re completely right about shoulder pad tops. I would wear them everyday if I could find the ones I need. They should be the new bra - they could be that foundational :-).
I agree!
I agree too!
I would like some direction on where to fine a shoulder pad top, too!
And pls pls pls silk cotton stretchy breathable fabric in nude, white, black to cover all outfit! xx beside sizing it is so annoying that Zara never repeat good basics like the this and the divine lace white cotton blouse and blue leopard coat and the holographic bag 🥰
I add shoulder pads to many items, especially the knit blazers I love. That little bit of structure makes all the difference.
This has been the best cc to date, I avidly look forward to them every Saturday. It’s been so insightful and inspiring. Maybe you could do more on “boring” outfits that most of us wear all the time and how to make them cool/ timeless??? Thank you!!! Xx

This is my favourite closet confessions to date! The styling is incredible and so well thought through. I am so inspired.
Same!😀👍,running to the closet with joy now. This is right up my alley,a revelation about why I only like ankle lenght/chunky skoes.
Agreed! This one really spoke to me. More oversized/eased pieces, and monochromatic layering!
Yes, this is such an inspiration!!!
I agree..just brilliant!!
The best one!! Very inspiring and full of great ideas ❤
Lucy is the greatest as an interviewer… as she is asking some challenging questions. So happy she is back! Yes. Having a bust and in 50"s i feel very square. Please do something for us Trinny 🙏
The blue suit outfit was sooo good!
I love Lucy for closet confession. She really listens and wants to understand Trinny points and expertise. Molly is great too.

the blue shirt absolutely transformed that bland suit … genius as usual !

I’m so excited Lucy is back on Closet Confession! Lucy’s interaction with you is so relatable. Love you both!
i waaaay prefer jemima :(
My two favorite ladies! FABULOUS!
Tight around the neck is correct. I wear T-shirts backwards to get the higher line on the neck. Sundresses as well... it really makes them look more expensive and completel
This is so necessary! A lot of people are retired and don't know what to do with the clothes they used to wear at their job!! Great video, Trinny!!
I love these looks I tend to dress like this and I’m 60 years young! One of my favorite videos.
So happy to see Lucy!! Love the rest of the team too, but I’ve missed Lucy a lot ❤
Love seeing Lucy again! Great video as always! Thank you!
Love how you style you make me excited rather than apprehensive about getting older. Thank you 😘

Love the white/cream outfit. The lines are clean/sophisticated but the soft colors bring in the feminine. Gorgeous!
I love that you show looks with affordable fashion. I’ve always been a big fan. Thanks Trinny
Every time I get a compliment for my clothes I have used your tips. I enjoyed when Lucy was tasked with interpreting last week's closet confession. fun to see different body types.
So happy to see Lucy back
I am over the moon watching closet confession. Always 💕 💕 💕
This is excellent, Trinny! Thank you! I love a suit but want a casual, cool look - not corporate, nor boring (or too "stiff"). You're a genius! 🥰

Thank you Trinny and Lucy - just wonderful as always. Love spending Saturday morning with you x❤
Love, love, love this! Small styling tweaks make a bigger difference than I ever imagined!
The white and navy are always beautiful together:wisdom words Trinny.
There's just no other stylist around who does it anywhere nearly as good as you Trinny!!! Thank you for amazing and inspiring ideas for all ages🙏👏❤ However, is it really impossible to be cool and architectural with curls? I need my curls - otherwise I look bald!!!🥺
Yes it is I think I meant that curly hair created by a bad hairdresser
Trinny your videos are life-changing - absolutely fantastic
This is so inspiring. you are like an architect when it comes to layering and make the outfit appealing!
Thank you Trinny, for another fabulous video! 😊🤗❤💜🤍💚🩵
I struggle styling boots, and always dread autumn because of it. Your must-have boots and ways to wear/not wear them is a video I would love to see.
I love the Prada sandals and cropped pants, it looks so fresh and beautiful. I'm always in awe of your graceful, long neck! Love watching u give an outfit the Trinny treatment. Always appreciate Lucy’s observations & questions, you work v well together. Adored that blue suit w darker shirt underneath.
Love it! Could you please include neckline ideas for busty women over 50. Should we be buttoning all the way to neck? 😊
Thanks.
Yes! I feel stuck/uninspired when it comes to shoes lately. Would like more tips on shoe/pant pairings!
Only Trinny can pull off a top that would look like a Brillo pad on any one else 😂❤

Great video. Love the chunky boots and sandals
Dear Trinny , how wonderful you are ! Your videos are so fantastic, we learn , we enjoy with you! Take care you and your great Team 💖
Aawww, Lucy is back!!! So wonderful. I’ve missed her!❤❤
I have completely changed the way I dress now and loving it!!
the white combo is really gorgeous
Would love a video on trouser lengths and what shoes go with what length of trousers etc. Find these new wide trousers so difficult to style, when every top seems to be oversized also. Help please! 🙏🏻
Love the blue and the white outfits. Great video.
One of my favorite videos of yours to date…and I’m a forever fan! Thank you, so incredibly helpful!! ❤
This was great. The chat with Lucy made me think about style tips for Mums ( beyond active wear)dressing with a toddler ahhhh. I bought cheap plastic glasses because those wee hands were too quick.

Grey alter neck dress dark gilet suit amazing. Game changer. Taking that idea on stage. Hacienda Classical here I come.
Shopping in my own wardrobe. I love that. I need to do it more.

Yes,masterclass indeed🥰
Yes, I am obsessed with the Comme des Garcons, etc., inspired looks!
Love how you changed things up a notch, giving fresh and updated versions !! very fresh and very cool ! 🙂

It was very useful and it was nice to Lucy with you again 💛💜
This has just inspired me so much that I‘ll take the day and See whats in my wardrobe and how I can refresh it in a cool classy way . Thanks so much Trinity - and by the way you always look just fabulous. 🎉
Trinny - Sorry for this f…ing T9 😂
Thanks Trinny for this CC its so helpful, I use your tips in this in everything I put together now and it works so well.
There can be several if not many tiny elements to bringing an outfit together successfully but, its well worth the effort.
The shoulder with pads and the sharpness of a neckline with glossy healthy hair and good skin care with a slash of
colour on the Lip is all that's needed to give oneself some Vava Voom and raise your presence amongst others.
Paying attention to these tiny elements, not relying on just one thing to do it for you is key to Ageless Timeless Dressing.
Once it becomes habitual, you'll never leave the house quite the same again and always Dressed in a way that takes
into account or considers a thoughtful process of your being out and about in the world and, how Art and Style factors
into all of that. Your so right when you say its not about Designer Labels because, it can be done on the High St for so
much less and, you and Gok have showed us so many times how it can be done so you look and Feel Fab. Its True it
can be done for much less and, I like how you show us by giving us these pointers so we get the idea of how to do that.
Wow that is interesting
Love your looks and style! I want a wardrobe that doesn’t get old. Agree with all you say.
As someone else suggested, please get Chloe involved in these. It would be easier to see how it would work on a different body type than what you have, Trinny.
That’d be great!
