FAE PT-475 tracked carrier with forestry mulcher and MTM 225 - Almond orchard recycling California

On this application the customer was fine tuning a process to recycle the existing almond trees that are no longer producing and get the field ready to re-plant.
Here you can see:
-FAE’s PT-475 with forestry mulcher, tipping the almond trees over , pulling up the root ball and grinding up the trees and roots.
-FAE’s PT-175 went behind the PT-475 to re-mulch any larger material the PT-475 left behind
-FAE’s MTM 225 worked as a sub soiler and stone crusher. The MTM’s ability to grind up to 20 inches below the surface allowed it to not only grind any root mass that didn’t come out when the PT 475 tipped the tree over, but through it’s tilling process, It returned the mulched bio-mass and valuable nutrients back to the soil.
This process avoids piling, burning, and hauling to land fills which has been a process of the past across the US.
