- Today I am beginning the process of cleaning out my closet, so I am trying on every dress I own and making some hard decisions. It's like a plus size try on haul, but instead of going shopping in a store I'm going shopping in my closet. I tried to link as many things as I could ( there was a lot), somethings were left off because I couldn't find a good replacement, and I was running out of room in the description box.

Ive often thought I wanted to go through your closet 🤣 But seriously, years ago I was absolutely BLESSED by a very well dressed women who wore the same size as me. She sought me out at work and left me a shopping cart full of bags on my day off 🤯 whoever you were sis, THANK YOU🙏 I couldn't afford to shop like you did and I wore those gems for YEARS💃

I know this feeling! I had a co worker bless me with beautiful clothes from Torrid when I didn't have the money to spend! From here on out I will always make sure my clothes go to another plus size gal! Always pay it forward!

As a size 16 I find it hard to part with clothing. Especially funky designs because they sparsely come in my size. It’s also nice to be apart of the trend. So I keep things that don’t exactly fit as basically last place trophies in my closet. This kinda made purging look fun and mean something more. Thank you ✨
I do the same thing with keeping certain things! Mainly because I've lost a little over 100 pounds within the past year. So I'm kinda in between sizes of a 18-22 really depends on how they're made. So I've kept right much stuff thinking I'll eventually end up wearing it lol. Honestly, it's turned out that most of the stuff I'm probably not going to wear so I really need to just get rid of them. However, I'm afraid once I get rid of something that's when I'll end up wanting to wear it lol.
@@heatherchrisco9106 This is going to sound like a terrible thing to say, but I lost that much weight and, after the gym closures for COVID-19 and then a prolonged Illness, it’s almost all back. (I wasn’t able to come up with alternative exercise because I can’t walk/run, due to a foot deformity). Only, now I don’t have a killer Plus Size wardrobe. 😞. If I could go back, I would keep at 2-3 really beautiful, original items. Not anything I could replace, but the retro dress in my favorite shade of Olive and the best evening outfit, I wish I had kept!
Amazing job, plus size is almost never available in resale shops or at donate shops. You are going to make some ladies sooo happy and make them feel soo beautiful!!

Loved this! You should do this as a series with each category of clothes to purge! One episode shirts (or a specific type or types of shirt), skirts, pants, shoes, etc. could be super fun and we’d get to see your whole closet bit by bit!
Oh gracious I feel your pain. Today I decided to do this very thing. I’d watched a video showing how you could have a lovely wardrobe with only 27 hangers worth of clothes. TOTAL! So I pulled out everything and realized I had 250+ hangers! Gezzzz I worked and tried on clothes for 8 hours! I’m so tired I could cry but I now have 130 hangers in the closet. It’s still too many but I’m very proud of myself! Too funny your video would pop up on the same day!! Crazy! Thanks for the encouragement and congratulations to you!!🎉🎉🎉I too am donating this treasure trove and I did the same thing in thinking about someone else enjoying them!
WOW! 27 hangers...I don't think I've had such a small wardrobe (if ever) since I had my daughter and she'll be 30 in a few months! I know there's no way I would manage it these days!

And while, yes, I would have LOOVVVVEEEDD to have purchased some of these dresses, I truly love that you are donating these dresses to those who really need them! I went through the whole "I will sell these" phase when my body changed, but it was so much work and effort I ended up just donating them!

You really should try more. They’re so comfy and breathable in hot weather. Pants 👖 can be so bulky to me.
I would LOVE to see an edition of this where you get the recipients to model the looks that look fabulous on them!! I feel like it would make you happy to see the items you love fit great on somebody who loves them!

I have to remember, when I don’t want to donate something I wear, that it might be better than what someone has, and how happy it could make them. When I was a teen mom, I made use of donations, and got so excited to find something nice.

I have tried to find a place to donate my now oversized clothes. But a shelter thrift store told me they dont have a call for plus sized clothes. I once was needed the shelters services and now I can't contribute to it.
I think having a holiday sale would be great!

As a teacher who helps students find dress wear for homecoming and prom, I appreciate the thought process and intentions you have behind the donation items. Believe me that your dresses will be loved and very much appreciated. If you can’t find certain organizations in your area, several counselors on campuses help coordinate such on their own campuses. Thanks for all you share!

There are so many dresses that you're donating that I would love to buy from you, but I love that women/younger girls that for one reason or another are fetting a chance to have them. You've definitely inspired me to go through my wardrobe!! I love buying full sequin gowns and playful things and then just end up never wearing them.

Well done Anna on donating your clothes to needy women. I had weightloss surgery and lost 175lbs so I donated my full wardrobe to my local charity shop. I felt amazing giving other plus size women my great clothes.
