that is amazing! I had to watch it twice. I bet with that amount of water making changes is like trying to turn the titanic. subscribed and going threw the rest of your videos. I learn the best from watching videos on larger reefs.
Thank you! Yes it is... I worked to document most if not all of the steps. I wish someone had these videos when I was starting my discovery process... I too learn a lot from any big tank video I can find... enjoy! 😁
WOW!!!! Now that's ROCKIN!!! Great work and layout. Seen in one of your comments you brought up SeaWorld. Not sure if you seen my 2 part series on the SeaWorld equipment I purchased. I came across some large sheets of acrylic that I plan on using for a massive DIY build-out myself some day. What size panels are you using for the viewing?
Did you use anything to protect the walls from water splashing, mold, etc? I have my qt tanks and salt water mixing station in my garage along with a utility tank. Walls haven’t been painted yet just unprotected drywall. Fish room looks good bro!
I used painted finish grade plywood around the top of the tank in the high splash areas… I run fans across the top of the tank + intake / exhaust fans 24/7 through the rooms… keeps the humidity down to around 50% in the filter rooms
I’ve wanted to build a concrete tank most of my life… (saw them at SeaWorld as a kid and thought I’m going to build one of those one day) became a student of the build many years ago and finally had the resources and knowledge to bring it all together! Thanks for checking it out 👍
Wicked tank ,I would love a set up like this, subscribed .
@@hixyhicks thanks for checking it out!!
It’s like a mini polo reef. Love the setup. Great job!

Amazing set up, top down into the reef is very impressive 😍
Thanks Chris! One of my favorite daily views while hand feeding those big tangs! 😁👍
So sick Dave!
Thanks Danny! Hope you are well!! 👍
Just awesome 😮
This is amazing! Is the house made by wood? How do you prevent mold?
@@neovowin it is made of wood and Sheetrock but I just keep the air flowing in and out 24/7 so the humidity stays low

I need to check it out! I used 4’x8’ by 2” thick cell cast acrylic viewing panels. No bowing or deflection at all. They are working great! 👌
@@DaveAnderson awesome!!!

Mega, super impressive! Where did you learn how to build it?

how much total water volume. awesome tank
5668 gallons total...👍
I think you need a bigger tank… those tangs are HUGE😂!
I think I have one more concrete build left in me... learned a ton on this one... next will be even bigger and better... LOL
The sump is 500g while others display is 50 or less 😂
I need to be able to catch all the water when the power turns off 👌😁
Are you diy your led. ?. Thats amazing.
