That was the best Crystal challenge ever. Me & my brothers always liked going there just to see how many floors we could blow up before the time ran out. Looks like I got to see that in 2021. And all the characters survived.
im surprised none of the brainless CPUs fell off during the entire round. i always had to restart the challenge coz they always ended up killing themselves too soon from falling. 😑

I used to do this all the time when I was younger. I would get worried whenever an AI would kill itself or another AI, and I would hate it when the last AI killed itself for no reason. I think my record is two platforms remaining with one of the AI left. Not sure if only one platform remaining with AI is possible
Modding this game is surprisingly easy... Just break out the Debug menu. In all seriousness, it's a shame that some of the gimmicks/mechanics from the Crystal challenges were exclusive to those challenges. But as soon as you change the Debug code to set the crystal arena as any other mode, it removes the unique feature and acts as if it never existed. Hey, maybe you could create your own mini-game variants using the Crystal challenge arenas? For instance, have Pogo Padlock - Crystal retain the square stealing missiles, but remove the 'step on remove all' mechanic (and by extension the padlocks).
