You definitely have these french vibes with all you create. Very chic, elegant, not too wild or childish prints. You really have a talent for matching fabric with patterns. Always looks so well 😍😍
You are gorgeous,,, so all your makes fit you very well! Keep up vlogging as I do enjoy watching them and seeing your latest makes! GigiW from USA. (Indiana)
You have a wonderful style, very chic & all your makes look lovely on you. Thank you for explaining not only about each fabric but also how you found making the individual patterns.😊
The blue dress inspired Gina, I have seen a similar pattern by Tiana"s Closet, and it's Free🥳 it actually was on my planning for summer projects, but I ran out of time
As always such beautiful aesthetics in your videos 🤩 Lovely summery garments in beautiful fabrics! The aqua colour really suits you I think. I made a lot of summery clothes last year so this year I didn’t feel like making more, especially as the summer has been quite rainy here in Sweden too. But now I’m really in to sewing autumn garments, love the colours of autumn! Looking forward to your next video ❤️
A great choice of fabrics and colours, Sarah. You have certainly sewed beautiful clothes in your style, well done , as always. I will be visiting Paris in November and will be staying in the Latin Quarter (AirBnB). Would you know any store in that area that would sell linen clothes or linen fabric for sewing? What should I look for in linen, as a beginner sewist?
Thank you and I hope that your visit in November goes well! No, I don't know of any fabric shops in the Latin Quarter, but you wouldn't be too far from the shops by Sentier if you have the time.
Great choice of patterns and fabrics !! I'm off to checkout Bella loves Patterns right now, simply love your aesthetic and looking forward to more of your vlogs.
Are you sure the green/blue fabric is realy viskos and not wild-silk? Because wild-silk has very offen that texture because they let the butterflys break out of their cocoons and don't boil them alive like with other silk. I love what you have done with the fabrics. Your makes are so beatyfull.
Thank you so much and oh! I've never heard of wild silk, that's entirely possible! I forgot to take a picture of the label on the fabric roll in the shop, so it's a mystery! I just figured that since it cost about 6 EUR a meter, it must be something like viscose, but who knows! I'm going to go have a look at what wild silk is now, thank you!
I translated the German word "Wildseide" just into english. Another German word for it is sometimes "Dupionseide" but I am not sure if this is korrekt because Dupion means two. And "Dupionseide" is allways 2 threads spun as one. Not sure if "wild silk" is allways with two threads. But "wild silk" is 100% silk. A cocoon is usually one continius thread of silk. By allowing the butterfly/moth to break free of its cocoon it is breaking the thread multiply times. They have to knot the thread back together wich leads to a uneven knotted textur. Very offen it is seen as a les desired fabric because of that textur and usually it is a bit stiver than "normal" silk. I think it is sad that it is not used more often and not valued enough. It has the same advantages than "normal" silk and no suffering for the animals. I found you just couple of days ago on youtube and know I watch all your videos and I look forward to see what you will creat in the future. Kind regard, Anna
Thank you so much! I had a look online and the texture does indeed look very much like a wild silk or dupion weave. Mystery resolved! I got lucky - it doesn't seem damaged after being pre-washed in a machine at 30°, phew! I'm so glad you're enjoying this channel and thank you again!
All your projects look so good on you! You've definitely found the best style for your personality and body type
