If for any reason you had to get RCA audio into your USB interface without the Roland Mixer, you could use a Radial ProAV2. Handy for the ground lift if you're having trouble with line/ground noise.
I was wondering if that was the noise... I know vinyl is slightly crackly by nature, but there seemed to be something else, as subtle as it was. thanks for the suggestion! I'll probably get it as a backup.
