I can kinda see it, with some of the threshold mechanics, but it’s way more like if Asuras Wrath, DMC, and even some others like Ys and KH all came together and made one hell of a crossover game.
I’d rather them just make a good game for once instead of relying on Easter eggs and nostalgia. SE has no idea what they’re doing anymore, this game will be cherry on top of the last 20 years for them.

@@unlimited971 this was just a demo representation as a showcase of a range of abilities. I heard they are implementing a hard mode too. I guess similar to FFVII:R where you had NG+ and keep all the materia. So, in FFXVI's case, you'd transfer your Eikons over to New Game plus mode.
After playing the demo and watching this I had no idea you could pull of some of those counters. Very insane gameplay. Gonna go back and see if I can pulll it off myself

You can actually see Clive using bahamuts power in the revenge trailer for a mere moment and you definitely see bahamut himself fighting Odin in the dominance trailer. You even see little bits of the ifrit vs bahamut boss that will happen eventually in the dominance and ambition trailers
This game was written along side withe the English translator koji fox. He then took the script translated and they made the English version first and then the Japanese performances were made based on the English performances and everything was of course translated back into Japanese.
There’s always been something so satisfying about hearing the final fantasy characters swear when the time calls for it. I’m still surprised when I found out that this would be the first mainline final fantasy title to feature a M for mature rating
this battle got me pumped, I'm glad and hope most boss battles are long, she was obviously a major boss, I'm glad she had a second form, keep the action going. The battle system for me personally reminds me of Kingdom Hearts actually, since this has reaction commands during battles, also similar to FF13-2 they had commands as well to dodge or whatever. Super excited for this.
It's been said that they'll be more difficult as the game goes on. Apparently this is how it is in the "beginning" of the game. I'd give sources, but it's been said in a few places. I don't have anything exact at the moment though. Sorry. EDIT: of course, don't take my word as gospel.
