The very first time I had extensions done, the tech did this to blend the tips. You need to rub quite hard, that little brush you had was too soft-the idea is to soften, and spread the extension material at the same time, a bit like smoothing out clay.
This looks like a great tip for people who do their own nails too, its not easy to use the file on your non dominant hand. Definitely won you a new subscriber 😊
This works best woth 100%acetone and after smoothing the edge some with a file. I use this method on my natural half tips and once everything is applied no one can tell its tips.
Great tip thanks Ana! Im new to everything Gel and have my first nail drill. But im not good with it yet so this will help me! Ive learned more from you Ana than anyone else! Thank you & have a wonderful Merry Christmas!! 🎄🎅🏼❤️ Love from Canada 🇨🇦❤
I’ve seen ppl do this with polygel to smooth out where the it bleeds from the edge of the form. You could try monomer for the soft gel extensions. I had some bend my drill bit the other day when I used it to open the stupid little plastic safety seal on a new bottle 😂
I cut an old brush to get the bristles stuff and wild to apply acetone. That method really worked for me. They didn't wanna come off. I've searched for 2 years with oily nail beds and solid nail gel plus filing plus dehydrating both my nail and the tip (yes, all at once) got my nails to last a whole week🥰
I've seen it used to slightly melt the surface area, in order to promote adhesion, rather than using a file to remove the shiny surface. I find that it works well.
I find using a larger brush with a little acetone and scrubbing for a few seconds works well. I don’t use drills at my salon, so I just handfile and buff the tip to blend and scrub for just a few seconds with a little acetone.❤love uuuu
I don't use soft gel full coverage tips myself, but I thought the hack was to "seal" at the cuticle and not really to smooth the edge, did I misunderstand the hack? Is it supposed to smooth the edge? If so, I agree, that takes too long.
Maybe use a uv light lamp or some type of heating lamp. I just saw a nail tech a bit ago today use acetone to put nail tips on his client instead of nail glue and I was shocked. Lol Never heard of it before and the nails seemed to hold very well. The client said they last just as long as using the glue. And the tech explained that it works because it activates with or creates heat, so it melts the tip of the fake nail into your own. So it would probably work for this as a hack to use a heat or uv lamp to have it fuse faster.
What's the name of that bit your using? Also would love to know of a tip that opens and peels off the cuticle area, that takes me forever to push the cuticle, open it with a needle tip then cuticle scissors😩 is there such a tip?❤️ Love
I don't think so as I have as I have done this And the acetone evaporated before it did anything to the base coat. I have to soak my nails for at least five minutes before my beetles base coat starts softening.
Well, maybe it’s the size of your brush and how much acetone you’re using on your brush and that’s why it wasn’t working like it did on the other videos.
I always buy acetone from the paint section at Lowe’s or Walmart it is a lot stronger than the acetone you buy from beauty supply stores. I don’t know why but there was a nail tech that I worked with that always bought her acetone at Sally’s and sometimes I would soak off a client and she would too. If I started soaking my clients Nails off after she did my client’s nails would always be off before hers. I don’t know why she would not switch? Anyway I have used this hack a lot and it does work.😊
It .ay not of worked as well for you because of the brush you used. The video you showed used a bigger and thicker brush and brushed the area in small circles. So it may of worked the same if you had copied the same products...
Omg this is a big no no. Acetone is not friendly with your nails, using it too much like this can damage your nails bed faster, plus inhale the acetone this much is not a good idea for your lung
As far as inhaling it goes it's no different than removing your polish and would probably be less damaging than the dust she's creating with the drill.
ur acetone isn't strong enough.. if u look on the back of that bottle they watered the acetone down a lot with essential oils and things because that acetone is supposed to be used on ur actual nail
“OH NOO-“ 😭😭😂
was too funny 😂😂😂
lol
I do both. E-file then add a little bit acetone and "melt" the tips so it will blend with my natural nail 😊
That's a great idea!
Same!
That's what I do
That is a great idea!
Doesn’t it cause lifting?
Waiiit... the perfectly cut "oh nOoo~" was too funnyyy. 😭😭😂

So why did I just try to blow away the dust after you used the efile ? 🤣
This looks like a great tip for people who do their own nails too, its not easy to use the file on your non dominant hand. Definitely won you a new subscriber 😊
Me too! Just subscribed :) these tips are great! ❤
Maybe a bigger brush to deliver a bit more acetone for the melt
This works best woth 100%acetone and after smoothing the edge some with a file. I use this method on my natural half tips and once everything is applied no one can tell its tips.

Glad it was helpful!
did you get an electric nail drill or a rechargeable one? just curious
I use a bit on a lint free wipe and go over the cuticle area it works much faster than trying to use a brush.
or a thicker/fuller brush
You do both. Seal normally with efile then you go back with acetone. It works.
Use the file first to thin out the bevel then acetone to seal it.
It works really well with primer but be careful not to get it on the skin
“ Pore some- *OH NO* “
Bellas, son finitas. Se ven tan naturales. Elegantes. Amé
I use this hack a lot and it works.. use a small amount of acetone or polish remover
I love how open you are to offer kond words about other ideal users of the hack
I prefer efile or hand file and then adding a base gel or something to level it out, but I might try this 😮❤
I’ve seen ppl do this with polygel to smooth out where the it bleeds from the edge of the form. You could try monomer for the soft gel extensions. I had some bend my drill bit the other day when I used it to open the stupid little plastic safety seal on a new bottle 😂
I love ur voice hehe its so calming i love hearing u talk about what ur good at
Can you use this hack with builder gel to smooth out lifting edges for a fill?
I cut an old brush to get the bristles stuff and wild to apply acetone. That method really worked for me. They didn't wanna come off. I've searched for 2 years with oily nail beds and solid nail gel plus filing plus dehydrating both my nail and the tip (yes, all at once) got my nails to last a whole week🥰
I do this with out using tips- it prevent lifting from the cuticle and gives you clearer visibility of the cuticle line
I've seen it used to slightly melt the surface area, in order to promote adhesion, rather than using a file to remove the shiny surface. I find that it works well.
I'd file the edge a bit before using acetone to break down the shiny coating to get to work more effectively.
I LOVE your honest reviews
Wont the acetone causes lifting of the product in the long run?
If it was used only for tip blending , it shouldn’t
Hi there ! This is a great tip😊!!! I have a question; this works for polygel?
You need a thick short brush like the one shown in the video that will soak up a lot of acetone. You hold it on the nail for a while
What specific carbide bit are you using? I would love to try this!!!
Cone shaped, carbide with green abrasive mark
(I recommend using blue or red abrasive mark if you're a beginner)
@@Nailcou thank you so much!!!
@@Nailcou I've been watch your tutorials in my journey as a nail tech, I appreciate the work you've done and how it helped me!!
Omg no it destroys the molecular structure of the gel & puts you at risk for allergies. Be safe! ✨️💛✨️
Love your accent I subscribed to u
@Nailcou do you have a link to purchase that drill bit?
I find using a larger brush with a little acetone and scrubbing for a few seconds works well. I don’t use drills at my salon, so I just handfile and buff the tip to blend and scrub for just a few seconds with a little acetone.❤love uuuu
It would probably work better if I file first then melt for a seamless transition
I started doing this and it’s a life changer!
Would it lift or weaken the glue underneath?
What percent concentrate of acetone did you use? Was it 100%?
I have no idea, it doesn't say on the bottle, definitely not 100% as there are some other ingredients 🧐
I think this hack is amazing i as well am a beginner. I havent started practicing as of yet but i will try this and see if it helps
I love those clear tips!!! Is it possible to wear them like this....
Yes of course!
I don't use soft gel full coverage tips myself, but I thought the hack was to "seal" at the cuticle and not really to smooth the edge, did I misunderstand the hack? Is it supposed to smooth the edge? If so, I agree, that takes too long.

That's my neat. I hate using glue
I wonder how it avoids lifting when acetone lifts nail tips up to remove them.
Where can I find that bit you are using?
Carbide drill bit - at red iguana , kiara sky, melodysusie
@@Nailcou thank you so much
What's the name of that bit your using? Also would love to know of a tip that opens and peels off the cuticle area, that takes me forever to push the cuticle, open it with a needle tip then cuticle scissors😩 is there such a tip?❤️
Love
What’s the name of the bit you use?
Definitely stronger acetone and bigger brush it works better than efile.
100% acetone works best! ❤
Yea….I learned this in nail school in 2017. It does work 🥰
What drill bit is this?
Shelly, but she actually sends it out with a drill first and then she put the acetone on there
Onde comprar???
is it gonna melt the base coat beneath too??
Yes, since most base coats are soak off too, that’s my another concern
I don't think so as I have as I have done this And the acetone evaporated before it did anything to the base coat. I have to soak my nails for at least five minutes before my beetles base coat starts softening.
I felt the acetone caused lifting from this area sooner.
Apply with heat?
not only the "OH NO" but the way she cut it and moved on like nothing happened HELPPP
Well, maybe it’s the size of your brush and how much acetone you’re using on your brush and that’s why it wasn’t working like it did on the other videos.
Vladimir’s last words were probably “oh fuck”
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you! 😊
Primer works for this too!
Poured some, OH NOOO-
Ooooh good idea tho
I have used it and it does work. I did on my friend who I can't use the electrical file
Bigger brush and more acetone.
Wow never heard of it
If you're not from tik tok
👇
Do both
I use my efile then acetone on a lint free to scrub it
“pour some- OH NOO 😭😭😢”
“pour so- OH NOOOO 😭😭😢😢”
“It’s rlly melting the tip a little” 😨😨
You barely had any product on the brush. That’s why it’s taking so long
Use a qtip
File first then apply acetone 😊

the brush is too sharp

Or some.. OHNOOO
Pls don’t do that, acetone will dry out your skin
Ooh NO 😹😹😹🤍💯
who likes or dislikes the duckbill nails?
That acetone is not strong enough
Love from Israel 🇮🇱❤️🙏
Not a good nail hack. I hope professional nail techs know better. 😮💨
The voice isn’t very pleasant, like nails on a chalkboard 🫨😅
Hi, I am the first comment. Can you pin me🥺🥺
But you have nothing to say XDDDDD
