Believe I finally have the correct shade of Mustard Eco dubbing. Had to purchase 4 packs on-line from 4 different retailers (over time), before the last one actually matched the color being illustrated in this video. All 4 were noticeably different in color/shade. Obvious quality control opportunity for FM. Will gladly send you pictures FM if interested.
This fly gets crushed on all the creeks I fish in central pa and I have been using it for a few years. The mustard color I would probably blend a little orange Antron or ice dub in to get the hue or effect I get from the other dubbing I have
@@SCYCOFISHINGHUNTING it’s a really good dubbing. With any dubbing I get I’m always making a more custom blend to fit my tying needs. Currently need to get a hares mask to make some more walts worm dubbing but I got sone mixed up currently that will hold me over.
@@FullingMillTV oh I don't doubt it. I've fished beside people using tandem Walt's/sexy Walt's rig and they crushed fish. Competition anglers wouldn't use them if they weren't so successful. Just anecdotally for me, it's just not a pattern that I've found success with. But this mustard colour may just be the ticket. I'll give it a shot.

That fly is unreal at times throughout the year here in NY.

I tie and use this fly. Funny how little it resembles the original which was buggy as crap. A cress bug imitator. A great fly on its own.

If the water isn't open to the general public, the fish don't count.
Walt's and all the variations I've used have never been very successful for me outside of places where you can catch 7 inch trout on a cigarette butt.
We can assure you they catch plenty of big trout in many places 😁
