Hi @omeida, I already installed an alipay and wechat in my phone. I am here in the Philippines. I have not registered as it requires a Chinese mobile number. What to do then? Thanks in advance for the reply.
Hello. I’m planning to visit China soon and I would like to know if I also need to activate TourCard after I linked my international Visa debit card to Alipay?
Please tell me about one month Chinese language immersion courses and how to get Visa approval to stay in China studying 3 months for older than 65 adult. Please❤

I would love to know about: going through customs and transferring to the train from the airport, what/how to pack and what can be purchased there, and using technology from home like cell phones, iPads, computers, etc.
Thank you for your message, we want to make more videos and we can definetely use your ideas =) For some of your questions, it all depends to where you are going, do you already know which cities you want to visit? As for technology, the devices work in China as usual, but some apps and websites are restricted and you will need a VPN to access (like youtube, gmail and instagram).
What changes do I need to make with my phone when I arrive in China and could you explain VPN.I am one of those older people who did not grow up with technology .thank you.Obrigato
Hi, you do not need to make any changes to your phone. However, it is good to install Alipay in your home country. With Alipay you can pay, navigate and translate Chinese texts. At Omeida you do not need your own VPN, our Wi-Fi supports most apps and social media platforms to be used normally.
Alipay has an option to add money on a temporary tourist card too, which should work with more International credit cards. If something is not working with Alipay it is best to reach out to their customer support, they are often able to solve these type of problems. However, there are plenty of options for people who only want to pay with cash. In our school Omeida and in Yangshuo many merchants accept cash, but they will likely not be able to give you change.
they do not use cash because there is no better way to control people than through their money. this is why they speed-developped cashless. Still does not seem to make inroads into the corruption…. Useful info, very spot-on for visitors. but it does turn many tourists off.
@@1pediatrics yeah, you should think so, but the big scandals in the Chinese entertainment industry seem to be about tax fraud!! Government shuts down cashless payment system, you do what for money? Granted, it could dry up crime fast….
Really? Nowadays most developed countries also don't use much cash but rather use debit card or credit card everywhere for cashless payment - stores, cabs, through apps etc. Payment for monthly bills are through directly debited from your bank account. Btw You can still use cash in China. It is still widely accepted!
It really makes it easier to control people, but I don’t think that’s the main reason for building a cashless society. The development was done mostly by big corporations to make payments more convenient and secure, and people loved it. In fact the government later released its official version of e-CNY or something, but it’s not as popular as Alipay or WeChat pay.
Congratulations Nana, your tips are very useful. 🎉Keep posting videos. 👏👏👏👏
Very useful!! Thank you for the tips Nana!
Thank you. I need to do as you said when i go to China. So helpful information 😀
Nana, I wondered Alipay or Wechat connect to bank account in the US or any credit card (e.g Amex)? Appreciate your response.
We can't say it for all banks and card networks, but you can link Visa and Mastercard international cards to Alipay.
I m so proud. This information is so useful.
Is there an age limit to study?
Thank you! So helpful.

Weird, we know students who were able to register in those apps with mobile numbers from their own countries, like USA and France.
Welcome to Omeida Chinese Academy 😊
Hello. I’m planning to visit China soon and I would like to know if I also need to activate TourCard after I linked my international Visa debit card to Alipay?
Very helpful tips!
Are card payments using international UnionPay card common?
More videoss and knowledge about international students going to study in China
Hey, I’m coming to china next week and will visit Yangshuo. I will look for the academy. 😊
We hope you have fun in China and in Yangshuo! And we'd love to have you visit us!

Thank you.
But how I can do a wechat invitation??
That's the thing, you need to know someone who has it, which we know, is not possible for everyone.
Nana, there is a request from some Brazilian friends … to show the subtitles in Portuguese. Is it possible?
Thankyou, the Portugese subtitles are now added as an option!
Hi Mam, is it possible to cash top up CNY in Alipay/ Wechat from any mone exchange or some sorts of booth?

Does Alipay work offline?
Sadly no, it doesn't work offline
Sim cards which include voice and data (5G) is very cheap in China and available everywhere.
Great video guys
I think because of fees that is why some small shops don’t accept visa, Amex, master
There just not really part of Chinese business...they as explained have a very different system
Very efficient country. No other country can compare.

Paguei tudo que consumi no cash

Where can I find temporary tourist card in Alipay?
You can exchange 1 red banknote ¥100 into 10 blue banknotes ¥10 at a chinese bank

They accept cash, what we said in the video is that Chinese don't use it as often.
Great I can’t use my credit card in China?! 😆 Thanks for the info!
DIrectly at the store is quite hard, but you can use it through alipay
You can, but through Alipay =)

The only useful control I can think of is that one cannot cheat on their income tax.😂IRS, live and learn.

Complete nonsense, paranoid comment. They are a very modern advanced country, WeChat etc very efficient, so much easier than old fashion cash.
