Theyre no different from any other company. The difference is more people want Gibsons than Gretsch, PRS or Fenders, so they get all the hate.
@@RByrneNot so sure on that. Their greed levels have risen quite markedly of late in my opinion. Trading on the name is wearing a bit thin, too. Some of their gear has been a bit on the shoddy side when it comes to QC in my opinion.

The Gibson double neck has platinum block inlays and diamond frets. The strings are gold wire.

I think the only one that will play these double necks is Page himself when he played a riff on each as he signed them. Only in private display cases next to the slabbed (unreadable) copy of Action Comics 1.
Gibson's concept is brilliant! Manufacture 50 double neck, 6/12 SG, and charge $50,000 US. The current MSRP is $7999. US for the stock SG 6/12 guitar. Simple division shows that they would need to sell 6.25 of this standard unit. The aging and retiring guitarists are the last ones that know or care about Jimmy Page guitarist. When I see companies selling "investment/collector" grade items I always wonder, who are YOU going to sell it to? What happened to the toy/tool part of guitar ownership?
Tools and toys? Get yourself a Harley Benton or a classic vibe something something squire.

I had always wanted a 335 but too many other things in the way. I bought a firefly put in a 498T in the bridge and put Steinberger tuners in it and no longer have a serious craving. I play that more than my Les Paul now. Hoping firefly comes out with a 339 knock off.
It seems that Gibson has forgotten about normal people.

In 1954, a Strat was $249.50 (or $20 less for a hardtail) and $274.50 (or $25 less for a hardtail) in 1958. In 1958, the ES-335 was $279.50 (or $15.50 more for a natural finish).

The Keeley 4-in-1 series does not combine multiple pedal circuits like typical dual overdrives, a Keeley D&M Drive, or a Boss JB-2 Angry Driver. The two pedal circuits are each split in half such that one of the clipping circuits can be combined with one of the tone circuits.
I have to try the 4 in 1 pedals... They sound really good.
Lets just wait a little until the zoom is hacked and you can put you kemper settings on it... Just like the old one

LOL Epiphone and Gibson. I only have a Harley Benton budget. The headphone amp iOS nice and portable but for a bit more I can get a Pod Go with a USB recording interface.
Hell Slash had a red double neck.SG that he had his guitar tech paint Black and Gibson saw that.
And brought out a black SG and said it was a signature series and sent the price through the stratosphere.
Watched a couple of these now and really enjoyed them. Had to subscribe.

Everything is authentic......except for the price. In 1964 was $685.00 and $90.00 for the case. I couldn't find the 1969 price. Total price, guitar and case: $775.00. So the "authentic" price is $49,225 more than the "original" price !!! 🎸🎸💰🤑💰I have expensive taste but a pauper's pocket book.

I held no3 in the Gibson Garage .. beautiful guitar the most accurate relic job I’ve ever seen .. it looked and felt like a vintage number.
I wish someone would make a retro looking cab to drop a Katana in. I want all the features but the amps look kinda ugly next to my Fender.

I have pit bull double neck guitar that I put together. I had a guitar tech install some decent pots and pickups and he did the set up (Hello Ian Willis from Katoomba) it plays really nicely and sounds amazing. I think I spent $600 all up. Truth be told, It’s a back breaker. Two songs and I’ve had enough. If you can afford a 50 K guitar and you’re not already a rock god, I’ll bet you can’t play.
Gibson has shot straight past the Heritage Standard H-535 and is nearing the Collings I-35 LC Vintage, quite the daring move with their reputation for *cough* quality.

popped into the london gibson store yesterday before my gig...that double neck guitar is cool, but not 50k cool. maybe one for the dentists and collectors.

P.S. Sure am glad I bought that Memphis-made ES-335 reissue back when I was a teenager and could reasonably decide to spend ALL of my savings. It was listed for 2400US then I got it on sale for 1800. It was supposed to be 50s spec then. I'm still not sure the inflation is natural. According to one of the many inflation calculation sites: "1,800 in 1999 is worth $3,352.86 today" So, can I borrow 86 cents?

re: the Keeley pedals, is a 2-in-1 less noisy than 2 pedals? That would be very attractive to me, also, extra pb (pedalboard) space, lighter, one power lead, one pb attachment (RATs are a pita to attach), etc.
Those JP dbl-necks will be worth an easy $70k before summer. If the ~equivalent Slash 1275 was $15k, the JP one costs Gibson the same to make, plus JP's much bigger royalty, richly deserved. Carry on JP!

I just received a chibson tribute to this guitar for the low price of $360, delivered in a new case. The case alone would retail for $150-$200+ is my guess. Have not played it…I wish I could afford the real thing but have Brandon to thank for it.

For folks with means, there are few things to invest in these days (Stock Market, Real Estate etc). So, buying these guitars is a gamble. Customers hope a $50,000 exclusive guitar will bring $100,000 in the future, I hope they're right for their sake. These are not "player" guitars, in my opinion.
