I'd suggest that there's a reason public figures try to say that they're your friends

A system built on the assumption that we'll never think again
They'll sell the planet and deny that we're condemned, so think again
The fires burn and yet they still don't comprehend, so think again
We've been tuned to presume that it's natural
I wish that we could afford to be more naive
But you've been judged from the moment you were conceived
And i don't think you even know what you should believe
Cause if you think that what he did will mean they'll apprehend, then think again
If you think that his career is coming to an end, then think again
If you think they'll just accept you were assaulted
By a celebrated figure who's protected by his mates

But we are all compliant in where they choose to tread
The villain isn't power, it's apathy instead
