While that does make sense from a "start from scratch" standpoint, he would have to spend the next 18 years training the kid as his heir. Tywin probably knows that he doesn't have that time to work with, given both his age and the current political situation. Though it does create a wholesome image of Jamie trying to be a good role model to his little half brother, while Cersei quitely resents the boy from the shadows.

From tywins perspective his family was almost ruined by his father because his father was viewed as weak. tyrion seems to be the only noble in Westeros who is a dwarf. It seems reasonable that tywin believes tyrion would also ruin the house because people will view him as weak.

Jaime never thought of himself as dumb. He just never had what it took to carry the Lannister legacy the way Tywin desired. Jaime failed at a great many things despite being intelligent and talented. He failed as a son and was reminded of it constantly, he failed at upholding his honor and became the lowly Kingslayer, he failed at finding love and hid an incest driven affair with his sister, he failed as a father and eventually watched all of his children die. The man had a golden hand but everything he touched turned to shit. At a certain point I think Jaime just decided to stop making his own decisions and put himself to the service of others. Unfortunately that led him to being used as a weapon by the family he loved.

The only problem with that is the north wouldve tried to rebel via a different stark. The reeds knew of bran and rickons existence. Maybe after the entire jon resurrection some other northern house might throw their support behind him. Lena Headey played Cersei so well that she became one of my favorites. She's such a well written grey character and so so deliciously mad and cunning! The writers butchered up most of the story in the show but cersei stayed fun to watch till the end. The world burned but she died on her own terms in the arms of the man she loved ❤
Joanna's death really did the Lannisters in imo. Her absence fueled Jaime and Cersei's relationship and Tywin's abuse of Tyrion which ultimately resulted in his death and the fall of house lannister

In game of thrones he was part of the Kings guard, who take an oath of, not having family, land and a few other things, just like the nights watch on the wall. The main reason for this, is to focus on "only" protecting the king
I think he's written a story so complicated that he has overwhelmed even himself and whatever he has in mind for the last book is probably what we saw in season 8 of the show and he knows it's underwhelming,so he's never going to publish it

Charles Dance, Stephen Dillane, and Ian Cunningham gave some of the best performances on this show. Obviously Peter Dinklage and Jerome Flynn were great too. But damn, Charles Dance, that guy could intimidate Hannibal Lecter.

I'm in a multilingual community from different backgrounds and it's always the same type of individual doing the correction so when people who speak 3, 4 or even 5 languages have someone correcting us, obviously it's annoying but we just laugh it off at the end.

The only problem with that is the north wouldve tried to rebel via a different stark. The reeds knew of bran and rickons existence. Maybe after the entire jon resurrection some other northern house might throw their support behind him. They would likely view any heir from sansa and tywin as a mere puppet and it would loop back to the other two starks who have a claim.

Lena Headey played Cersei so well that she became one of my favorites. She's such a well written grey character and so so deliciously mad and cunning! The writers butchered up most of the story in the show but cersei stayed fun to watch till the end. The world burned but she died on her own terms in the arms of the man she loved ❤

She's stupid in comparison to characters like Tywin and Tyrion yes, but she's still intelligent, and clearly more than the people commenting this. The way I see it most of her "stupid" actions are not made out of lack of awareness but lack of care for anything outside her own narcistic desires.

I believe this is where Tywin made a mistake with his children and with himself after his wife passed away. He should've remarried so he could extend his bloodline and Casterly Rock on his side of the family.
He should've taken action after realizing that his children have done nothing to contribute to the family other than bicker and be selfish. He knew his grandkids were bastards with zero Baratheon blood.

I think it is consistent with his character that he blames himself for the death of his wife. Maybe he considered Tyrion "punishment by the Gods." But if we assume that, you'd think he would have used his skills to prevent Jaime from joining the King's Guard in the first place.

Tywin was a great manager but an awful dad. His only redeemable trait was that he loved his wife. Once she died, he became a bitter and hatful man.

She was also extremely ambitious, bitter, resentful, & felt no love or appreciation by anyone except maybe her brother, Jamie, & her children. & she was well of aware that her father did not recognize her abilities for no other reason than the fact she was born a woman. Because of her extreme bitterness, resentment, & lack of feeling loved, she was heartless. If she had been loved & adored by her father & husband, she would probably be a different character altogether.
Cersei made Jaime take the oath, she condemned Tyrion because she's too dumb to see over her contempt for her brother and now, she refuses to be married when she did all of it to herself. I understand that she felt she was just seen as a broodmare. I understand she loves power so much she was willing to sacrifice the realm for it. Tywin understood what ruling meant. Tyrion understood it also. Jaime would have thrived as Lord of Casterly Rock under his father's tutelage and counseled by Tyrion. If only Jaime was educated by a ward, far from his sister, as Robert Baratheon and Eddard Stark were.
Cersei was not stupid, far from it. She was selfish, incredibly so, and very short-sighted. Her actions were always focused on immediate results without caring about the mid or long-term, which makes her careless but still not stupid.
