The adventures of Tintin has them as Thompson and Thomson and Edgar wright has his name in the credits Is not the same but it’s something…Or at léase a shrug of something 🤷
Yeah he isn't denying that he's stated many times that him Edgar and Nick are always talking about ideas as they remain close friends so its inevitable they will work together again, but here he is asking fans to stop asking for literal sequels to things they have already done which all of them get asked probably on a daily basis.
That's different, he's contractually obligated to do those movies until he's either killed off, the movies stop or his contract ends, either way the movies he's talking about are different, if I'm not mistaken they are sort of like passion projects that he helped edger wright work on closely, he's not just an actor in those movies he's directly involved in their making so they are more personal to him then mission impossible
@@BeanieKing Never say never it’s been literally over a decade since then, people change their minds. The key here is Edgar and Simon as they were both the main writers on all three cornetto movies so it’s really in the hands of those two if they want to spend time developing a script, I know that Nick also contributes a little bit to script ideas but overall those movies are the brain child of Edgar and Simon.
Let the man get a cheque!!! Difference between MI and the ones he mentioned are that those ones are his stories, his vision. He's an excellent actor, but his writing is why he is who he is. He didn't write or produce any of Mission Impossible, it's just a very lucrative gig to him.
Did a fantastic job in The Boys new season, can't even tell he's British. Horrible death for him, it was insane...... It's a pretty messed up show, but for some reason I keep watching....
Everyone keeps forgetting that this called the cornetto trilogy In all three moive you will see the characters eating a Cornetto ice cream of a different colour, red, blue, and green...there now you know
In fairness though, out of the whole trilogy, Hot Fuzz is definitely the most deserving of a sequel. I will forever hold out hope 🤞But just having the Wright, Pegg & Frost team back together on a new project would be wonderful.
Actually, there is a sequel to 'Shaun of the Dead ', 'Hot Fuzz's, World's End', all rolled into 1.😮😮 It's called... Wait for it... The Walking Dead Think about it: The main character, Rick Grimes, is a former cop who faces the end of the world, a zombie apocalypse, alongside his former partner...😊😊😊 My favorite show. Ever. Simon Pegg is an unsung star. Love him in everything he stars in. He plays a great lead, but is also an excellent supporting actor. I hope he returns in the final 'Mission Impossible ', and more 'Star Trek's films, if they ever get made....
Spaced definitely doesn't need a third series. If you skip to the end of the Skip To The End documentary, you see that Tim and Daisy did eventually end up together and have a baby daughter (who Tim insists on calling "Luke", much to Daisy's dismay).
And in the past he did actually say they were thinking of a season 3 to conclude things, that there were things they wanted to revisit. Didn't work out that way and won't happen now, but it was a possibility once.
i absolutely love the cornetto trilogy for what it is, n honestly i dont think it needs sequels. the movies being what they are standalone are great! i respect pegg and wright for the fact that they dont want to give people sequels, its their work and if they dont think it works it shouldnt happen. i have thought about sequels but i don't think theyre necessary. another standalone movie with all of them back would be fantastic though
100% agree. Way too many sequels. Feel sad we never got more Spaced but it's too late now, would have needed to have been done back in the day. Lets hope we get some new great stuff from the guy
@@cattysplat To be honest I thought it was a lot longer than three years between the end of Spaced and Shaun of the Dead (Cant believe it was 2004!) Regardless one more season would have been great to tie off the story a bit more but ultimately as you say, perhaps we wouldnt have got such a great movie trilogy
The best way to stop people asking for Paul 2 would be to make it 😜 Of course, people would then be asking for Paul 3, but at least they are no longer asking for a second one! 😁
Loved this man’s earlier work back when he wrote it, when he lent his voice to its creation but I’m completely disinterested in this new professional day jobber path he’s on. I think what fans are really asking for is something meaningful.
I don't think it'd be the same as the one that exists. He'd need to have genuine inspiration to catch that groove again, and not just try to capture lightning in a bottle

Not everything needs a sequel
Agreed
But I’m sick of crotchety, old man Pegg who’s more at home making bank (with sequels) than doing anything original, anymore

Hot Fuzz does, though. Paul, arguably, does too.

Why not just make a brand new trilogy. 3 new films.. no number 2’s, just cool new movies from Edgar, Pegg and frost. We’re all here for that.
I don’t think Edgar and Nick are there for that, judging by the audio commentary for The Worlds End.
