I had a teacher saying that you should be friendly to receptionists and janitors cause they know where to find and how to figure out things. I won't mess with them.
Yes! Treat them as you would the CEO bc they usually know everything about the business (and the employees lmao) 😂
In my sales class we were told that receptionists are the gate keepers to the people you want to know so always be nice to them because they control if you get to know those people are not
As a previous receptionist, treat them well! They can either make your life easier or complete hell 🤷🏻♀️

There is nothing NOTHING professional about the conversations the GROWN men and women have in those offices and breakrooms. I’ve been the youngest in my office working in HR and constantly have to step in.
Actually, the ones they make fun of or dislike are usually the most professional ones that stay to themselves.

Haven’t started the video yet but I’m a stripper in Miami and I work 9pm-6am EST and your story times are THE ONLY THING I look forward to after the end of a long work week. Like after every Friday or Saturday night shift I open UA-cam and listen to them on the way home from work. Okay I’ll watch now😂

Omg I can't believe how fast time flies because I've been listening to your story times since waaaaaayyyyy back in the day when you were living in that haunted spot!
This story immediately reminded me of a time when I got the most intense second-hand embarrassment of my entire life. Here goes...
So forever ago, I thought I wanted to be a medical assistant (this is like 20 years ago, I'm 44). I enrolled into a program where we were required to wear scrubs to class. If you showed up in your street clothes, you'd be written up, and if it kept happening, you'd get the boot.
One of the girls in my little circle of class homegirls was a lil extra rebellious and was always getting talked to about not wearing her scrubs. We all kept telling her to just wear the damn things so she didn't get kicked out! She was so funny, pretty, and just fun to be in class with, and we wanted her to stay!
One day, she arrived to class late. We were kind of deep into whatever we were learning and here she walks in wearing a mini skirt, thigh high boots, a cute lil top, big 'ol hoops and her hair was down and curly just like yours! This chick was holding this HUGE uncovered platter of cupcakes. Upon making her entrance, she says, "It's my birthday! I brought cupcakes!" Right as she said that, she tripped on her own damn boot and fell all the way down and the cupcakes went FLYING. Frosting all over the place, including in the hair of the quiet students who wanted no part of anything but class.
My blood rushed to my face and I got so embarrassed for her that I felt like I was gonna pass out. She fucked up her ankle and I never saw her again. End of story!

We all have had a toxic work environment. I sure did in 2018-2020. Women my moms age trying to to start stuff with me ,23 at that time! It was so mind boggling to think they are my mom’s age! Everyone was older, I was the youngest. And I was waaaaay more professional than anyone in that building. I essentially left bc the boss boss told my coworker to tell me that he was gonna make my life hell for going to HR over his unprofessionalism
