- So you're in 2005 - the moment when Formula 1 is about to change forever. For five consecutive years, one team and one driver have dominated the championship.
FIA had had enough of this. So, they introduced three new rules. And believe it or not, not only were they infuriated, but the teams as well. Who else but Benetton, Schumacher's former team, now Renault, could challenge Ferrari?
Get ready to see the most bizarre season of Formula 1 yet. In which strange rules from the FIA created exciting races and confrontations. Okay, it also almost killed Formula 1. Remember the damn race in the United States in 2005. Only 6 cars competed in it. Why? You'll find out in the video. This is just a short story about this season. Enjoy!

6:58 Wrong. He didn't have to endure it. Even though the no tyre change rule, the teams could do a tyre change if a tyre was clearly damaged. Some commentators were even surprised that Mclaren didn't decide to stop Kimi to change that tyre and get a podium instead of taking that massive risk of no points or win the race.
Tyre change was only allowed if punctured during that race. Look it up in the wiki
At the time, there was a question of it they could change a damaged tyre.
If Kimi pitted for tyre change he was gona lose the lead and finish 3rd.

Alonso Dethroned Michael Schumacher but he also got dethroned by a Rookie just when hes about to start hes domination in F1 he got beaten.

@@AajasAhmed Alonso went on to be a threat more than Hamilton the Hybrid era. Hamilton was nowhere (not a fault of his own though)
Alonso actually would have been WDC if not for the Hungary fiasco penalizing him, so no he wasn't beaten by the rookie Ham.

9:48 That wasn't a commentators word... That was from Paul Stoddart, the team principal of Minardi at the time. What you left out of that interview is where he said that race would decide the constructors standings for P9 or being last as both Jordan and Minardi normally didn't have a chance of getting points but of course with so many teams not starting the race, they had a great opportunity at getting a podium.
At the end Jordan driver Tiago Monteiro got 3rd place and the other Jordan driver got 4th, massively outscoring Minardi team whose drivers finished 5th and 6th. This race decided the battle of who would be P9 or last in the standings and while it seems little, in prize money it was a difference in millions (you did mention the money difference at 15:10 to be fair). That's the main reason why Paul was so mad
Oh and Minardi died after this season/got bought by Red Bull who then changed it to Toro Rosso which was now known as AlphaTauri before their latest change this year to Visa RB or whatever it is (something bullshit)

2012 was a good one.
Tires back then made a difference between nigh and day... that season despite the technical validity of the Ferrari car they didn't really cut the mustard with the traditionally constructed Bridgestone tires.
McLaren was still frail as ever and Raikkonen being recalled as the (car) mincer didn't help their cause, he was far more suited to drive for Ferrari, a car notorious for not being so overly sensitive to abuse.
Yep the Bridgestones were slow but durable. That's why they could race in Indy.
that Ferrari was the other coin side, it had downforce problems so high they put a tiny flap under the front wing.

Let's get this thing straight ;
- You were allowed to change tyres for safety reasons ;) So if kimi just pitted he would have finished third in germany.
- The point scoring system was 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ;)
- The main reason ferrrari struggled were the bridgestone tyres ;) The michelin tyres were much better. It had nothing to do with the new qualifying, engine or tyre rules ;)
- Montoya did not hit the kerb in china he hit a loose drain cover.
- The Italian gp was ahead of the Turkish gp
And I think I mist a few more mistakes ......

One set tyres rules in 2005! Against to Schumi and Ferrari for to slow down them . During the race only same tyres you can drive it! same tyres used, until finish of the race! Michelin user, all of them big advantage against to Bridgestone users but not rivalry, unfortunately

Lewis had the fastest car in every Season he won (except for 2018 maybe) while Alonso had an inferior car in 2005 and had a equally Ferrari with the Red Baron in it.
