Welcome to this review of the new Airbus a340-300 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. If you want to save some time and you're curious enough to come read the description here's my shortest opinion on the add-on :
PROS
- light add-on = good xbox performance
- Good simbrief integration
- Sounds are ok
- Not bad to fly
CONS
- Poor graphics
- Poor 3D Model
- Very few animations
- Experienced some issues with the autopilot
- Experienced fuel managenement problem
- Lot of elements are the same with the a330
OVERALL : It could have been a good add-on with a lot more efforts on the details.

First of all, I always appreciate your reviews! Keep doing it!! I think you hit points that needed to be brought to the attention of simmers like myself. I am on Xbox Series X And we don’t have many study levels. Love the pmdg and all and I know the Felix will never come across unless I buy a computer. But Latin VFR allows us to get a taste of why I love aviation. I agree i think the details need to be fixed ( windows, texture, modeling, etc) they need to work on that a bit more. Because at some point we will not be tolerating things like that ever. Cheers for the review!

The A340 irl dose climb very slow i bought it nowing my expectations on it ive done 4 longhauls in it haven’t had any issues but its not the best plane out there but it is fun for something different to fly as there arent much in the market

Thanx for the honest review Capt. I’m an X Box X user and have flown around 6 hours in the A340 (shorter routes so about 3 take-offs and landings) I’ve really enjoyed this a/c on sim. I have the LVFR A318 and A320 CEO so wanted something with 4 engines. I also have the JF BAE 146 which offers systems fidelity if I want to fly something with more ‘depth’. At the end of the day it’s all subjective and the sim allows you to fly all sorts of a/c depending on your mood or time available. I’ve also experienced the glitchy climb (once) and have had fuel transfer messages on the ECAM which I don’t know how to deal with; pressing the fuel xfer buttons on the OHP did clear the display. Keep up the good work 😁

We have been spoiled by PMDG and Fenix, now if the plane isn't study level we just crap on it. Clearly not the closest you can get in terms of fidelity, but 95% of people never flew a A340 IRL so they wouldn't even know. These simulators need a lot of time to develop, and more often than not are done by veterans. I'm on the edge of my chair waiting for PMDG's 777. You also have Aerosoft working on a couple ones and iniBuilds. 2024/2025 is going to be rich in terms of simulation.
So far, I am loving mine. I will say that I’ve had no issues in the climb rate but I’ve had some odd issues with fuel management

This is what happens when people don't read the manual. I did that same mistake, lvfr have implemented realistic trim fuel tank transfers.
Interesting I'll take a look at it but, there's no way I would have reached ksea anyway according to the fuel left.
we need to hire a full time team for FBW to fix this mess SMH
It's the first time I've skipped a LVFR aircraft. I'm going to buy BravoAirspace 787-8 instead, which should arrive in a couple of weeks.

sound changes due to you being behind the engine and you can hear the thrust.
the fingerprints are for realism in real life everything has fingerprints on them.. you just dont see it

Not everything but right
My efb for my a340 doesn’t work :( whenever I put my mouse over it, it goes to a gray screen for the whole flight. My lvfr a320 had this problem is well. Does anyone know a fix?

I had to find something a bit different. But it works with every plane! Unfortunately an unexpected call from work today so the video will be a bit later this week.
Can you open the doors if you play in the easy mode?

@@CaptainKenobi salut captain , ce matin , j’ai installer une nouvelle MàJ de la SU15 bêta . Youpi , tout à l’air de parfaitement fonctionné sur les Liner comme l’ensemble des autres appareils ( mes addons ) j’ai effectué quelques vols et , il me semble que ce soit beaucoup plus fluide et donc joli . Je suis allé sur un forum et , à priori, il semblerait que ce soit la version Enfin , final de la SU15 .
Je croise les doigts pour nous tous .

PS : et j’oubliai le principal, je suis en 60fps constant . Ça ne bouge pas

@@CaptainKenobi essai avec l’A320 V2 à Roissy . Ça oscille en 48 et 60 fps puis , rapidement , ce stabilise à 60 fps . Youpi ça a l’air d’être bon
I’ll wait for the 600 variant. I don’t why they waiting to drop the different variant. Makes me think they are going to make it a stand along plane which is a money grab! They are also doing the A330 CEO. Which will probably have horrid liveries just like their A330 NEO. I’m patiently waiting for 787-8 BravoLiner! I need that plane desperately
The 600 would have made more sense or any other version actually.
This plane is way better than the PMDG 777 and the Inibuilds 320. Why? Because it can be purchased and flown in MSFS today.
The ini a320 is in the game (beta) and it is way better than this

The a340 and a330 share most
Of the same computers, fuselage parts, and instruments, so it would make sense that they would copy and paste stuff from the a330
I know but again do some efforts for your clients.
