  • In this video, I explain how you can enable "Hardware Encoding" if you have an Intel processor (i7) and why buying a graphics card is not the answer when using Magix.
I will explain how to enable hardware encoding in Magix Movie Edit Pro 2019 & 2018. I believe this hack will work with the 2017, 2016, and possibly previous versions. I was struggling with slow video export speeds when I first tried Magix Movie Edit Pro and " No hardware acceleration".
Having no hardware acceleration was driving me nuts and making 4k video editing impossible! Even a standard quality UA-cam video was an all-day process to edit and export.

Hours and hours of searching in program settings, drivers, BIOS,.... and then I tried this. Thank you , thank you, thank you ! ! ! Main screen in Intel HDMI, second screen in NVIDIA HDMI, and I have hardware encoding ! ! !

My next tip is to buy and install an SSD DRIVE and to turn off proxy mode ( where it imports the video and creates the low res copy ). My computer with an ssd drive edits 1080p 24 frames with out making those stupid files). I imported 11 hours of video in like 30 seconds ! I have an old i7 with 8gigs ram so nothing special at all !
The SSD drive made a world of difference! I can edit in two hours what would have taken 10 before.
      I bought the Samsung SSD.
Good luck! I actually love magix now! You might try turning off the proxy files on your standard computer it might work (I never tried it).

Yo man, this helped me a lot, but I ended up doing it in a different way.
I used to do this long ago, but expected magix to support nvenc.
It seems magix video deluxe only supports qsv (intel quicksync) for exporting at the moment apart from software encoding.
I installed the iGPU intel drivers, enabled dual gpu in the bios (Nvidia + Intel) and now I only use one otuput for my nvidia card (like before) but can offload this kind of workload to the cpu iGPU, will have to test quality results though now.
But yeah looks promising, and all thanks to your video, it really makes a huge difference in time (5min to +45mins) at least for testing output, gpu exporting will be my way to go from now on.
Edit: Quality loss is quite low if any. I'd also like to point out that nope, I do not use a second monitor, but I have the integrated one powered and active so I can make use of its features in the background.

I’ll check out enabling dual GPU in my own set up. The speed difference was why I made the video in my opinion magix was unusable without hardware encoding active ... was taking me days to render 360 videos and now it’s done in under an hour usually.
Glad it helped and thanks for the tip on enabling dual gPu !

I do not understand what you die white the HDMI Cable that you Connect to your motherboard and how did you connect your pc screen did you use your graphic card??

De Deur Den Haag , you should have another HDMI port that had a plastic cover in it ... this is the computers basic graphics card almost every computer now SDSU’s comes with an aftermarket graphics card and MAGIX is not set up to run with an aftermarket graphics card! So on the back of your computer plug into the built in HDMI port ( not a graphics card ) and reboot ... you will then be running of the intel chipset and whatever graphics processor intel has installed
THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU HAVE AN INTEL CHIPSET /processor.
I did NOT use my graphics card! MAGIX only speeds up when using the built in INTEL graphics processor.

Just switch to DaVinci Resolve. It's professional quality and free (and supports 8K, Fusion, Fairlight etc.). No need to twiddle between your GPUs. Magix has always been iffy and buggy for me, whatever type of product (audio or video) they produce.
Just use the free version, not the Studio version ($299). Although it's a bargain for the price!

I tried to switch and couldn’t get Resolve to work with 16gigs of ram. I liked it and would never have bought Magix if I had a computer that could have handled Resolve. I definitely feel stuck with Magix ,but it gets the job done and is not a monthly subscription (maybe the worst recommendation ever ).

If your not using intel I wouldn’t hold out much hope.
For me a solid state hard drive was an insane upgrade for magix! I don’t even have to convert video I just run it straight into magix and can edit 1080p and 2k in minutes. I bought the Samsung 860 500gb but wish I had gotten a terabyte.

Sorry. Maybe because my English is not my mother language but even after watching a few times I still miss - what did you connect to your PC?

    • @NEROAviation
      @NEROAviation  2 роки тому

The monitor using the built in intel graphics port. Your intel graphics have to be running for magix to work well at least in 2019 version abs previous. I haven’t tried 20 or 21

Well this hack only works with intel PCs. Most computers are NOT intels. AMDs are very common too. In the same way most pilots didn't train on Cessnas, many of us trained on Pipers. So your 'magix hardware hack' title should probably read 'magix hardware hack for intel PCs'. Thanks for trying though.

Good point I’ll change it !!! I got lucky and had an intel. In fact Magic running on an old out of date intel is surprising faster than my new dell without it. They need to update the encoding and use the graphics card ( probably a licensing issue ? )
