@@ndivhuwozwivhuya Correct. My point was to illustrate his age and not to ask for any favours for him. As a parent I am proud that somebody his age is already making a mark at the Olympics. The boy is comfortably young enough to be one of my children.
Degrasse is just something else. This might even be his 4th Olympics or something. Even he is not winning by the same margins/ or distance, the fact that he is still competitive, let alone winning is unbelievable.
@@chukwuelisha7716 Nothing in my statement confirmed he won the gold. In fact, a clear translation of what I said means he had a strong desire to win the gold from De Grasse and it was a close competition. Thank you!
Degrasse is a great competitor! He was not in the best form and was having a terrible Olympics. In this run, you can see there is a point where he used his experience to relax and hold it together to take the victory despite all the pressure. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I thought their first leg was really incredible too…but let’s be honest….all 4 men from both those teams had to run amazingly well or they wouldnt have placed how they did. ❤
Degrasse, Simbine, and Hughes were _motoring_ on the anchor leg 🔥 edit: 8.89, 8.78 and 8.78 respectively. Paris really produced some insane relay splits
Team SA did very well, considering some were appearing for the first time. It's worth mentioning the young boy from high school, "the starter." The event was too big for him, but he showed his capabilities. If only we had 3 more Simbines😂😂. Perhaps, Tebogo must consider changing his citizenship from Botswana 😊
Want to know what’s crazy? I’ve watched this race dozens of times and I thought the starter for SA had an incredible start. Then I saw a comment about a member of their team being in high school. I knew it wasn’t the 4th runner, and thought, wouldn’t that be crazy if the one who stood out to me (the first leg) was the kid in high school!?! The. I watched carefully and thought it was probably the third because he switched the baton in his hand twice. Turns out it was the first! AMAZING….he did SO well, and he will be a force to be reckoned with in years to come I’d say!
Degrasse and Simbine proved that they were seasoned athletes. They covered so much ground to win Gold and Silver. They are the stars of this race.Particularly Simbine. I never thought he'd get second place. Well done. Impressive.
Well done Mzansi 🇿🇦 boys!!! SA is proud of you!!! Simbine was incredible in that 100m that went to Noah with a VAR decision, and he showed again why he’s one of the top athletes out there!
The commentator was so focused on other teams. He did not even mention the South African boys during the race. They ran exquisite 👌 😍 Well deserved Medal. 👏 ❤ Really Happy for Simbine. 💯👏👏👍
Congrats to Canada with their gold here. But to Simbine and his team mates, you guys made us super proud here in 🇿🇦. You guys did great for the silver and it was very close. Well done to all the teams as well,it was a great race.
