    Thanks for the review, this is exactly what UA-cam is for. No need to be a big name hot shot UA-camr, or known in the industry. Just a general consumers opinion is what I like to hear. I'm leaning towards these over Honda just for the fact you get more bike for less, but gamble on reliability.

      Thanks MrSnowrocks. Honda makes a great bike, but I do think this one is the overall better choice.

    Good review! I bought the 2017 570 base model back in May. Didn't realize they changed the instrument panel to all digital on the base model for the '18. Mine is the combo. That's a nice upgrade. Still love my bike. So comfortable and nice to ride. We ride in a lot of hills and mud and the 4 wheel on demand is sooooo nice.

    I got the 2019 Indy red touring for me and the wife and for it being a 570 we can get it up to 58 mph. Completely bone stock and we are not the smallest people either! Definitely great machine for the price just a few minor issues buy completely reliable! Great video love the honest review!

    Good,straight forward video. I bought a 2018 Sportsman 570 base. Took it for a short ride last night and it sure does impress. Honestly there is no need for the power steering.
    Put some muscle behind those bars and you'll be fine.

    Good review man. I bought a orange base model 570 new in 2016. No power steering and no engine braking. I grew up when 300cc ATVs took you anywhere you needed to go and power steering wasn't even a thought. So I figured I didn't need it then and I dont need it now. I ended up leaving with a brand new 570 base model for 4600 bucks out the door at Abernathies Polaris in Union City, TN which is cheapest dealer in America. There is no way I would have paid several grand more just for a few gizmos I dont really need. As I said I grew up in a time when rider skill got you around rather than engine size and easy steering and dont need it now either. I do agree the 570 is pretty powerful.....its accelerates pretty hard like a 400ex sport quad I rode for years. It would probably beat my old 400Ex actually in a drag race Thats not bad for a big ATV the size of a tank. Mine will pull the front tires off the ground on demand with a stab of the throttle. For 570cc single cylinder it packs one hell of a punch.

    I just bought the same excited 4 wheeler, i said the same thing about the headlights. My friend just got the 1000 and when he puts his high beam on it turns all three lights on. Btw you can adjust the high beam on the side with a coin. Great video thanks !

  • @jasonlewis995

    great video , thanks! II myslef and just an average rider who uses the 570 for trail riding and hunting. i dont need all the 'biggest baddest' item on my quad. One thing to note with these machines is the heat radiating to the bottom of the seat. i have a 15' 570 and the bottom of the seat has deformed due to the heat build up by the exhaust. the seat is made of HDPE and has no shielding so if you do a lot of slower riding, be cautious. you may start to see the front of the seat pull away from the body....mines opened up 3/4"

    I have to 2015 etx machines and I love them both. I absolutely have no problem with less power than the 570 or the 4:50 because it's plenty of power for the train I am in in Upper Wisconsin. These bikes I should not say bikes four wheelers get awesome gas mileage I am getting claimed 33 miles per gallon.

      Speaking as a guy who went from a 1996 Magnum 425 to a 2016 450 HO EPS, I can say without a doubt: That power steering is worth its weight in gold! Makes plowing a LOT easier, especially when you're axle deep in a snowbank you just pushed into!

    Hi......thanks for the review. I’m buying a Polaris 570 in 2020 and I’m wondering if power steering is necessary. What are your thoughts? It’s almost $1000 extra.

    • @theragincajun1413
      @theragincajun1413  4 роки тому

      KellySalt222 check out my second review video I talk about it some. For me personally I’ve never had ESP so I don’t miss it. I can use this fine. Maybe if you were going to trail ride for hours and hours it would be beneficial, but for me it’s just one more thing to break and more money. I prefer it without. Enjoy your Polaris when you get it. You won’t be disappointed.

    I work at a Polaris Dealer and have several ACE 570s (same engine) with over 20k miles on them and still run great, they come for service and spares every once in a while.
    This being said, I want to buy my first quad, I'm a novice rider and I don't know if I should buy myself a 570 Base or a 850 SP, any advice ??

      BadAssEngineering if you work at a dealership I would suggest seeing if you can ride one of each and see if the 570 is enough or if the 850 is to much. I can’t see anyone getting the 570 and being disappointed and most importantly it doesn’t break the bank.

      Thats what I was thinking! I live in Puebla, Mx which is at like 8000ft elev and like to go even higher on the mountains, that is what concerns me about buying a 570 and regretting not having the extra power on a 850!

    Hi Colter are there any recalls on this? I'm on the fence with this or the base can am. My research shows that these things are not very reliable do you hear that and have you had any issues yet

      darwandoo I’ve always heard nothing but good things about Polaris and have heard horror stories about the electrical components of Can Ams. Mine is holding up perfectly fine. No issues so far. As far as recalls the only I’ve heard about was certain razor models, nothing for the sportsman. Hope this helps. Again I don’t have loyalty either way, just Sharing my experience

    do you feel like you wish you went for the EPS power steering model for the extra K ? thanks

      Rich Barber I've only driven a bike that had power steering once and that was for a few minutes, so to me I'm not missing anything since I've never had it on a bike I own. I have heard that if you get one with EPS then you do not want to have another bike without it, but more me this is fine. Not hard to turn or anything like that. Less money, one less thing to brake. I'd say test ride both of them and decide for yourself. Hope this helps.

      Depends what you're gonna do with it, I think, but I have it (EPS) after having had a unit for 20 years that didn't. It's pretty darn nice on trail riding, but where it really shines is when I plow snow or have to deal with tight-quarters maneuvering. No fighting with the handlebars any more for me. The older I get, the less I wanna do that!

    When you are pulling that trailer with all that wood, did it struggle. Im wanting one for work more then play. Will this 570 cut it?

    • @theragincajun1413
      @theragincajun1413  5 років тому

      Scott Witkowski It pulled that fine. I put it low and just went. I only pulled it from one neighbors to my yard. Probably 200 yards. That’s the heaviest load I’ve had on it. I’ve carried 300-500 on it a few times though and again it didn’t have any issues. I just didn’t pull it very fast in Low. I also found out from my neighbor what he have me was a little less that a cord, I originally thought he told me it was a little over when I made the video. It was my first time having a wood burning fireplace so I wasn’t as familiar with how much a cord is. That said the trailer itself is a fairly heavy trailer too, so it still pulled a substantial load. This is also more for work that play for me. I have yet to take it on a proper trail ride. I do use it daily though.

      @@theragincajun1413 Ive got an old Yamaha Big bear 400. Its been good but just doesnt have enough grunt. I gotta a little 4x8 trailer. The big bear has trouble pulling that with a load of brush. I think that 570 will be good for my needs. Thanks for your review.
      Seems every review on youtube focus on play, rarely work.

    • @theragincajun1413
      @theragincajun1413  5 років тому

      Scott Witkowski I think you’ll enjoy it. It defiantly doesn’t have issue with brush. I’ve pulled plenty of brush, deer stand, 4-5 adults, and stuff on mine. Just have to be careful with it being belt driving and trying to pull a really heavy load in High gear. Hope it helps.

    What kind of tires/rims do you have on there and size? Notice any loss in power with them from stock??

    • @theragincajun1413
      @theragincajun1413  6 років тому

      Switch 800 tires are ITP Mud Lite II, size is 26x9-12. I bought it from the dealer with these tires and rims, and can't say if there is a loss of power. I'm sure to a minuscule degree there is, however it is still plenty of power.

    • @theragincajun1413

      Switch 800 rims are MSA brand, unsure of what specific name given to this rim, but they are made by MSA
