    Kia sure has come a long way since the crappy cars from the 90s. Good job

      Viren vs yea the quality has become worlds ahead of what they used to be but their powertrains need more developmemt. Give em another 3-5 years should be solid.

    Why is KIA pricing this so high in the US? In Canada the MSRP of the of gt limited which is equivalent to the GT2 awd in the USA (except in Canada it comes with heated rear seats and remote start app) is $49,995 Canadian ($39,765 usd) but in USA the msrp is $51,400!!! Almost $12,000 higher!!!! I checked some dodge and jaguar vehicles and they are priced the same in us and Canada after the currency exchange rate factor

    Nice review. Some of us do like to use the paddle shifters and I'm hoping you might be able to explore how well (or not) they work when you have a more in-depth drive. I've read mixed reports that a true manual mode is not available. Upshifts at redline and downshifts when stopping are expected, but will it hold a gear unless manually shifted otherwise? I'm also curious on how well their lock up torque converter works. No one has spoken to that. Some AT equipped cars have well sorted torque converters that lock at moderate speeds and stay locked, so you don't get this rubber band effect when you accelerate. They feel much like a manual clutch. I would be interested in your observations.

    Kia should change their emblem, it looks basic and boring on a elegant vehicle such as the stinger or k900

    • @amiller2121
      @amiller2121 7 років тому

      100% agree. It's too basic and this car deserves something more sexy to represent how far this car company has come.

    Am I the only one that just want a V8 Model, the *V6 is very powerful* but it has a "meow" and I would love a "ROAAAR!!". ............ I know I'm not the only one right?

    Personally I would rather see a 2 door, more "corvet like" than what they did with a 4 door and hatch back. That being said I am a master Kia Tech and got to prep one of the top of the line 3.3L twin turbo AWD. I can honestly say it ran like a raped ape, more than enough power and handling was great.

    will the 4cyl be as nice to drive or will the 4cyl be the car people settle for because it has the lower buy in price and there are no other full size cars that meet their needs??? I applaud KIA for going down the vehicle "road" as they are offering consumers something in just about every segment...they may not be the best in every segment, but they are making their presence known and making others look in their direction as a car company to take seriously. Hopefully, the large cars sell well, that way they (KIA) will be inclined to make hotter versions of their medium and small car models...or even translate into a Stinger Coupe (2-door) grand tourer...

      ctk4949 black is a great color on some cars. But unfortunately so many people never seem to wash them.! So what I see alot is really sharp expensive car in black, that just look awful. Strange, people spend big bucks for the car , but are to cheap to splurge for a car wash every week or so. Lol

    Yes, yes, yes BMW engineer... blah blah...
    How can it make the same amount of downforce? That makes no sense in so many ways. Same downforce as which car and when the spoiler is in what position?
    The fake hood scoops... sheesh
    Got that out of the way.
    Im glad this is made. Kia had a choice to say they are bringing a luxury GT to a lower price range or that they can beat the higher priced cars and still keep the car luxurious and performance oriented. Honda, sticks out like to me the most here. Their Acura brand needed a car like this 15 years ago... still nothing.
    Good on Kia. Now that theyve called out some big names, lets see how it really stacks up when the PR talk has stopped. Also, I hope it sells well.

    I must give you credit for keeping your composure and not giggling like a horny school girl over this car like I've seen many other reviewers do. One fella was even bragging how the knobs feel with a huge grin and acting like no car has ever had good knobs. For me the stinger is an epic fail. It has four doors.

    The Kia badge cheapens this car. Needs rebadged.

      KIa badge is cheap until they hire Peter Schreyer who use to design cars for Audi.

    How come the Stinger only compares itself to itself in real world tests? People just talk, talk, talk no one is racing an Audi A6 3.0 supercharged, BMW 4, MERCEDES E Class or S5 fastback head to head. I guess Kia paid everybody off.

    • @TestDrivenTV
      @TestDrivenTV  7 років тому

      They had these vehicles on site for the press event. One reason you might not have seen or heard much of what you ask for is that the event just occurred and it takes some outlets time to get their stories or videos together. Additionally, the cars aren't even on sale yet and very few if any press outlets have had the chance to have one in their midst to do such tests.

      MuChawn Golden Do you own a Kia Stinger? Of course not, so you can't intelligently compare this car to an S7. You think this car is so great and haven't even driven one. I'm smart enough to not buy a car brand new it's the worst investment, I bought my S7 a year old off a lease for $60,000.

    • @DR4WZ
      @DR4WZ 7 років тому

      Mandell Maull I have test driven a Stinger, Audi S7 Sportback, S5 Sportback, BMW M5, M3, and Porsche Panamera.
      Don't own any of them yet as I'm in the market for a new car for my wife.
      Just bought myself a Focus RS new and want something with comparable performance when driving the family around.
      I've bought used cars and cars off lease up until this year and now prefer new as I'm not buying someone else's problems.
      I don't care about badges, I care about the way the car makes me feel when I drive it at the best price that feels justifiable to me.

    • @mandellmaull9300
      @mandellmaull9300 7 років тому

      MuChawn Golden don't mean to be rude but how old are you? I think our differences are perspective and desires according to life long experiences . I can't fit in a Focus, at my age (44) I want luxury, performance, looks and prestige because I've worked hard and I deserve it. Kia doesn't do it, kids will buy this car and feel good about having something that's "like" a Mercedes CLS, BMW 5GT, AUDI A7, Tesla but I don't fake it nor do I settle. I test drove A Stinger at SEMA and didn't feel there were any of the requirements I had for A car I would buy, Kia is trying but NO!

      Kia head designer used to design cars for Audi that's why their cars start to look like one.

      V8 Quattro vs. V6 with no upside. I gladly paid $30,000 more and sleep well at night. RACE ME with one of those knock offs.
