I was curious if speed would affect how quickly you squat-walk, but it doesn't seem to. However, readying a spell makes your character lean forward a bit, and if you time it right, you can either waddle forward or backwards. You just need to lower your hands before you exit the crouch. Not sure if it's faster than the axe-chop-squat, but it's another option.
12:20 That's a Blighted Rat with one of the Blight diseases that gives a massive debuff to Strength, as a result the rat has negative Strength and can't move because its over-encumbered.
That's what that is? I never encountered them first time I played Morrowind, but when i played it again on OpenMW, i always saw them, and thought something with OpenMW bugged their pathfinding.
12:20 That rat is blighted/diseased with an illness that decreases strength so it is encumbered by the weight of it's own meat that the rats can randomly carry.
Holy crap bro, I've seen some tedious and frustrating video game challenges but this is on a whole other level. I can't even comprehend the mental fortitude required to do this. I wouldn't have made it out of Seyda Neen
Morrowind's own ymfah and I'm here for it. Plus the way you do it somehow feels even more hardcore, because ymfah's runs are oddly dynamic while your edit showcases just how much of a drudge it is to power through.
Far be it from me to question the motives behind an exceptional video, but I must know, of all the challenges you could have come up with; what possessed you to choose one so torturous 😂 I definitely look forward to seeing the next outlandish challenge you set yourself! I found you through JustBackgroundNoise and you've now thoroughly hooked me with just two videos, so I'm excited to see what else you have in store for us 😊
15:16 Actually, unless the vast amounts of time needed disable this somehow, you can hold TAB for the cinematic (spins around character) view and reorient the camera to see where you're going without turning around.
since you broke the game with alchemy and were already in sadrith mora you may as well have made fortify luck potions as well. tuscarmil sells corkbulb root in the mages guild and the other guy in the shrine sells corprus weepings which would put together made fortify luck and healing potions. with your luck well into the thousands you would dodge every hit and always hit
"Your character shifts its weight to the right foot momentarily, before shiffing it back to the left." I'm pretty sure that's the definition of walking 😂😂
“move at a regular pace by lifting and setting down each foot in turn, never having both feet off the ground at once.” Actual definition of walking, note that this includes moving at a regular pace and lifting up feet (rather than just shifting weight)
Morrowind had such an excellent map, it's nice to look at and genuinely useful for navigation. Then you had the Solstheim map, which was accurate down to EVERY single rock and tree, as a kid I thought that was an incredibly cool accessory to a game.
I have a lot of trouble playing the game normally without putting a heavy focus on speed just so I can move around at a reasonable rate. If I did something like this, I don't think I would ever be able to play Morrowind again lol
Been waiting on more videos from you! Keep up the good work, sir! EDIT: 8:00 YES! I was the very first person to find and document this glitch on UESP. You can still find my original comment documenting it on some old talk page somewhere I'm sure. They did patch it out and it hasn't been on any version of the game anyone could buy for over 20 years so nobody knows about it. You're the first person I've seen mention that glitch in literal decades. That's a throwback.
Yooo i just watched that stealing the heart video where homie shouted you out and decided to check your content. First of all, love the name mehrunes mike lmao. But also, im only 2 minutes in and im shocked at the quality and great humor for someone with so few videos. You really do have to keep this up!
That sneak movement is like quicksave phasing through walls in Fallout 3. And as with every overencumbered run, there is no downside in looting everything. You're already slow af, so more weight doesn't matter. Also, we just created the Morrowind fat% category.
The best part of this video is that I noticed you moved when you swung the warhammer and then that's what the whole video became about. I thought to myself "Wait a minute, it looks like..." and then you did it.
Your using ratchet deadlocked (ratchet gladiator is I believe the name in some places, dunno why.) music in your video! Thats epic! One of my favorite games growing up! ❤❤❤
BROTHER! MY DUMBASS FRIEND IS STREAMING BOTH OF YOUR VIDEOS ON DISCORD TO US AND THESE ARE SO GOOD! Your voice is relaxing and your jokes are cold and brutal. I hope you continue making these videos. Nice job man!
The nostalgia trip I had when the Ratchet: Deadlocked music started blasting---- Seriously I wonder who else noticed that music. Kudos to you! That was one of my favorites back on the PS2.
Yeah, it's still rock, even if molten, so the density would still be very high, it would be extremely difficult to actually submerge yourself into lava, setting aside the heat problem.
If your fishing for ideas a challenge run I've thought of doing every so often is beating Dragon Age Origins without weapons. Rules of the run: All weapon slots must stay empty the entire run. Even other party members -The section in the mage tower where you are required to turn into a burning man with a sword might need to either be made an exception or you run past stuff to fight in the halls May be played on easy as I don't think the numbers of the game work out to letting you do it otherwise. -I'd start on normal and bump it down if there are truly brick walls like the arena in Orzamar The run would clearly have you run a mage and mage heavy party. At most a rogue ranger might get some mileage sense they can summon stuff. It is a longer game, so there is clear reason not to do this for a video.
"Damn that first video was a banger. I wonder what's taking so long for the next?"
Completely understood
I was thinking the same thing lol love this dude
Same!
Weighed down with a thousand pounds and crouching your way through the game. Today is the mother of all Leg Days
I was curious if speed would affect how quickly you squat-walk, but it doesn't seem to. However, readying a spell makes your character lean forward a bit, and if you time it right, you can either waddle forward or backwards. You just need to lower your hands before you exit the crouch.

The Crouching Rat
That's friggin hilarious. Totally like something a daedra would do to a creature.
@@1thevm1 blight diseases are caused by Dagoth Ur, not daedra
over encumbered by its own rat meat
That's what that is? I never encountered them first time I played Morrowind, but when i played it again on OpenMW, i always saw them, and thought something with OpenMW bugged their pathfinding.
This reminds me of Ymfah's Skyrim with no walking
but like 146% more unhinged. I love every single second of this.
THIS! I was thinking that aswell when I saw the title😂😂😂
The edit for the Mage's Guild teleportation was super sick, well done.
loved it as well
I want that as a mod.
12:19 The rat's doing the same challenge run.
90 minutes only to get from Seyda Neen to Balmora.
I can only imagine how much of an endurance test this whole endeavor must have been.
12:20 That rat is blighted/diseased with an illness that decreases strength so it is encumbered by the weight of it's own meat that the rats can randomly carry.
"you are pathetic"

Top tier convo
Perhaps I will end yours!

This is some Sisyphean stuff. I am horrified and impressed.
Last video: I don't have the patience to spam heals for the next two and a half hours
This video:
Alternate title: Can you kill Dagoth Ur while hitting the stanky leg?
This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
I love it.
Holy crap bro, I've seen some tedious and frustrating video game challenges but this is on a whole other level.
I can't even comprehend the mental fortitude required to do this. I wouldn't have made it out of Seyda Neen
The just background noise shoutout was funny because he's the whole reason I found your channel. Love your videos, can't wait for more
I hope this becomes a speed run category.
You challenge runners that come up with the most insanely painful runs are a treasure and I applaud your patience.
Was not expecting to laugh this hard at someone reading the Morrowind level up messages
He wasn't lying, I really would like this video if I didn't like the fact he used acrobatics and athletics in the previous video
Hell yeau, more challenge runs. The Ratchet and Clank Deadlocked OST in the beginning activates some memories.
I dig the GTA V skycam in Vvardenfell
Morrowind's own ymfah and I'm here for it. Plus the way you do it somehow feels even more hardcore, because ymfah's runs are oddly dynamic while your edit showcases just how much of a drudge it is to power through.
Awesome vid. The line "If he's going to play with my feelings, I'm going to play with his existence" goes hard.
Hell yeah I’ve been so excited for you to upload!
Please tell me used speed hacks and didn't spend 28 IRL hours propelling yourself across Morrowwind with nothing but the power of farts.
12:26 I'm pretty sure that's exactly how that kiwi feels watching an orc crabbing at inverse mach speed.
Far be it from me to question the motives behind an exceptional video, but I must know, of all the challenges you could have come up with; what possessed you to choose one so torturous 😂

Very refreshing and unique Morrowind content! UA-cam needed you dude
I was pleasantly surprised to hear music from ratchet deadlockedin the intro. Was not expecting it
"Your character shifts its weight to the right foot momentarily, before shiffing it back to the left."

You and JustBackgroundNoise should do a collab for sure
This is so awesome! would love to have Mehrunes Mike on my Pod!
Finally, i can roleplay a cripple
If ymfah isn’t going to make any more Elder Scrolls videos, this guy will ☝🏻
I always loved how the physical map of Morrowind had X's marking treasure locations on it.
Morrowind had such an excellent map, it's nice to look at and genuinely useful for navigation. Then you had the Solstheim map, which was accurate down to EVERY single rock and tree, as a kid I thought that was an incredibly cool accessory to a game.
I believe all the maps after Morrowind did as well.

Finding the dagger method after 24 hours is absolutely devastating lmao
I thought it was torturous to wait for this video, but I now know I wasn't the only one suffering
"help him reach the other side"
that one really got me 😆
"id be lying if i said that i hadnt set up a macro"
Im honestly relieved
For anyone curious, the Daedric script on the graph at 14:57 reads “I’m fast as f*ck boii”
Big ymfah energy with that intro, love it
15:57 That was an underrated line hahah
I love the GTA 5 character swap style mages guild travel animation!
Just imagining doing this is enough to give me nightmares. Well done, well done indeed.
Great edits and fun run!
The editing was 10/10, this deserves like 10 times more views
I look forward to your future videos. I don't mind waiting months.
So exited to see you upload again!
Some of those casual jokes you slip in took me off guard, lol. Great run
18:04 that was too cold 💀

and I thought Ymfah's run of skyrimg without walking was ridicilous...
Were you cursed by a witch? Are you paying for some unthinkable crime from a previous life? This is the craziest challenge I’ve ever seen
ymfah did this originally in Skyrim and he has other insane challenges
Dude this takes dedication and I am here for it. I'm so glad I subbed to see this beauty. Looking forward to more silly videos!❤
been so stoked waiting for this!
You are an absolute madman. You definitely earned this sub. More than earned.

"Next day delivery" Dark Brotherhood, lol. At least early on. I started to feel lonely after I leveled up, or when the ash zombies started to visit.

I somehow read the thumbnail as 'no moonwalking' and just nodded to myself like 'must have been hard'
jesus so much love and effort you put in this video. Liked it
Well worth the wait. I can see why this video took time to make. Well done Mehrunes Mike.
Loved those level up messages, made it all feel more special.
For something that was supposed to be a demonstration for a friend, these video's have been awesome.

Lava being a solid surface is actually realistic.

Rules of the run:
All weapon slots must stay empty the entire run. Even other party members
-The section in the mage tower where you are required to turn into a burning man with a sword might need to either be made an exception or you run past stuff to fight in the halls
May be played on easy as I don't think the numbers of the game work out to letting you do it otherwise.
-I'd start on normal and bump it down if there are truly brick walls like the arena in Orzamar
The run would clearly have you run a mage and mage heavy party. At most a rogue ranger might get some mileage sense they can summon stuff. It is a longer game, so there is clear reason not to do this for a video.
This would probably be considered a psychological torture according to Geneva Convention.
I was genuinely excited to see this upload. Thank you, sir.
"Farming Implement"
XD
Going that slow you probably killed more cliff racers than St Juib
I was expecting something like a levitation only run, but this is much more interesting!
8 minutes to run 2 seconds that bit killed me
ah, another underrated channel with excellent editing
So hype to see a new Mehrunes Mike drop; keep 'em comin' please!

This right here is some quality content.
OMG are you doing the encumbered thing lol nice ima finish this lol you got my sub
