Any info on putting a dry sump on a gt500, it would add so much protection to that expensive engine, also add like 50 hp just from remove the air from the oil. GTD has one would be really cool to have it for the gt500 especially for racing
Made this switch my self last week (JLT to VMP). Still data-logging the car so I’ve yet to go WOT on it but those are some seriously significant MPH changes.
@@6598901 I haven’t dynod the car, but I did see a significant improvement in IAT and MCT. Here in hot humid south Florida (90*+ ambient) I’m 5-8* within ambient temperature, with the JLT it was 10-15.
Just installed my JLT and my hood won’t shut properly. Very frustrating. Their support wasn’t helpful. I’m looking at getting the VMP asap. Is the VMP only held down the by hose clamps and the snorkel piece sliding into the bumper? I can’t find any other install vids. Thanks
@@edt3413 Try adjusting the filter box on the JLT. My hood closed no problems. You can also adjust your hood bumpers. As for the install of the VMP… it’s been awhile since I did it. I believe there is a bolt that holds the filter box in place, but not 100% positive.
@@ShelbyFlyer appreciate the response. Sorry I messaged you on fb too. I tried adjusting the box. I can sometimes force it to close without the rubber seal but it’s a necessary part. Even without the seal that the hood is now higher than the fender on that side. Their support told me that “it’ll settle with the heat”. But I might just get the VMP at this point and try returning or reselling the JLT. Some people in the group said they had to trim theirs to fit. Kind bummed mine won’t shut either
Thats mean the best intake syatem for 2020+ GT500 is Livernoise , because they use carbon fiber 5 inch smooth tube with stock factory box , which similar to VMP system , suck the air through Ram Air only . Did you agree ?
Haven’t tried that one. I’m happy with the VMP unit. I have their Apex Predator supercharger lid and upgraded intercooler brick as well. They all work great together! 🤟🏎️
Was the (before) JLT info with the VMP lid and VMP intercooler so it's just intake to intake comparisons?
@@Rickriflifkin Yes… before was with JLT. After was with the VMP intake. No other changes.

@@edt3413 You will have no issues with the VMP intake. It’s a good piece!

@@riderxzx I’d love one, but recently put 2 sons through college and spent a TON in the process!
