- Today we're showing you the two main styles of venetian plaster application trowels and why we think the trapezoid-shaped trowel is the best. We also share how the X-trowel is specially treated to not leave black marks on light venetian plasters. ↓LINKS TO PRODUCTS BELOW↓

Trapezoid and rhomboid 👍
I believe all the burnishing trowels in the video are small size (200 mm), but what size were the trap trowel your holding?
My trap trowel is size 240x100mm. There’s also a larger one you can get but I find that the size I have is more manageable for me. bit.ly/x-trowel-trap
Thank you I was going to ask these questions in the comments of your videos but now I don't have to
Glad it was helpful! 👍
Exotic line Marmorino tools always!
@@venetianplasterexoticwallf5313 Are they available in canada?? Been looking for a while now
Can I use my regular concrete trowel? Or is it not smooth enough on the edges?
That’s a good question. Without being able to see your trowel, I’m not sure I can give you a good answer. I’d assume a concrete trowel would be to sharp on the edges and would be harder to get a smooth finish but I’m sure it’s doable. Also, it’s helpful if your trowel has a little bit of flex in it which I’m not sure if that style of trowel does. I’m not sure if this is helpful to you but let me know if you have any other questions.
I finished my first wall last night. Vasari Veneziano. The wall was warm due to a heater being on it. Where I stopped and started burnishing sections didn’t blend well. Can I redcoat on top of the burnished plaster with a new coat?
@@prestont5769 If you already burnished, I'd recommend lightly sanding to make the adhesion better. This would be the same process you'd do if you were repairing plaster as well.
👍👍👍
Glad you liked the video! 🙌
