Dear Paul! I am surprised that you didn’t know that Dimash had performed “Olimpico “ at the opening ceremony of second European Olympic Game in March 2019 at Minsk, Belarus. Igor has composed that song for him and the lyric is in Italian.. This was televised all over Europe and Dimash has this performance on his channel but no reaction channels like this video because it showsed Dimash only four times and each time only few seconds . Although you can hear his voice clearly . Belarus channel focused more on the six gold medal holders who carried the flag towards Dimash. He looked perfect in white trouser with jacket of Kazakh flag, colour and pattern - bravo to him. He was 24 years old then. . Just for your information, not a criticism my apology is in advance, Slavic Bazaar or Slaviaan Bazaar is an annual art and music festival held every year for the past 30 years ( no festival held in 2020) . It is at Vitebsk, Belarus not Russia. Dimash won in year 2015 at the age of 20 and that when one committee of “ I am a singer” saw him and suggested that he should be invited to participate in the contest. This programme is not like any Western concept -- the Voice,American got talent or X-factor. It’s a competition of professional well known singers or band who have lots of stage performance with quite a large fan base. While Dimash won many awards from his own country and International but basically he was not a professional. In these countries including Slavic Bazaar there also has competition between children not exceeding 16 years of age and adult 20 years upwards so you will understand Dimash physiology. Sorry to write to inform you this way because I want you to get the correct information. Appreciate what you are doing but I want you to get the correct information, if you don’t mind. “. Unforgettable Day “ was Dimash second composition s after “ My beauty “ . The first was composed when he was 17 and second one when he was 19. . I just watched his video of "Marigolds," which he sings to his mother, because it's about a young man who sees a woman planting marigolds and he misses her intensely.It 's a real tear=jerker. In the video, he's singing it before an audience but most importantly his mother is in the audience, and she is crying, and then the whole audience is singing it with him and I think they're all crying. Why are they crying? I recommend that you watch it, and see if you don't cry (happy tears.) Then, after watching it, I landed here, and read his dear, loving words to all of us. What an emotional experience!

I have watched this performance hundreds and hundreds of times. Was my first introduction to Dimash. As a Dear, I appreciate Gio’s emotional response. Where do you go from here? Anywhere will be a treat.
I’d say let him enjoy some of Dimash’s other performances on The Singer: Opera 2, Confessa, Diva Dance, Adagio, Autumn Strong. Or flip to War and Peace , Ogni Pietra, across Endless Dimensions, Your Love, Stranger. Then there are the collaborations with Lara Fabian, Aida, Tengri, Victor Ma, Super Vocal Boys. The songs that come from the soul of his country: Daididau, Samaltau. Anything that Igor Krutoy has composed for him.
Oh, and his Russian performances are auto tuned & lip synced, because that’s what is required. He has no choice. And so unnecessary for someone with Dimash’s skill.

In September 2017, I was meant to watch DWT but turned out watching Dimash 1st time with S.O.S and fell in l❤️ve with Dimash's voice. Afterward, I kept following YT of The Singer show song after songs and repeating them every day and night while sleeping. His vocals was so impressive and also was planning to his NY concert but couldn't :( Dimash continues to improve his English and also different styles of his new singing low/high notes.
