I think it is better to use darker powder on the grown out roots. The light powder on dark hair looks ashy and unnatural. I have a ton of grays and I use Clairol powder, it is sold at CVS and they have a few shades. It costs like $10. I use medium brown and it looks pretty natural.I think the darker grown out root looks pretty good and more natural than light colored sprays or powders.

I love this product but i have naturally dark blonde hair with highlights and just a handful of grays as of the last year. My hair is highlighted to a medium blonde so the roots aren’t far from my natural. I only wash my hair once or twice a week. I have found this works equally well on clean or dirty hair. Only tip I have is for blondes is to use platinum color and not blonde, it covers better because the lighter powder cancels out darker root plus platinum color has a more neutral undertone. I find blonde color to be brassier. It may not be working for you because the difference between natural and highlights is too extreme. 🤷♀️

My pleasure! Unfortunately I have not found any quick fix it for my dark hair (and blond colour). If you've dark hair and you're covering grey roots, I'd say it'll work a treat!
Hairdresser here. First you have dark roots and very blonde hair . You will get soft blend at best ! And your application was incorrect. You need to put lots of product and dab it on not wipe it on . Also you made your hair clean right after you said it works best on hair that’s a day or so not washed . And this is a tide you over in the interim but def not an alternative to hair Color . For sure in the right application this is a good choice but wrong application it will fail .
I'd say you're dead right! There really isn't much I can do with the high contrast so I'm probably going to slightly darken the colour so it's not as obvious.
I LOVE WOW. It works super great for my wildly curly hair. I am brown with caramel highlights. It buys me a week. I think you have the wrong color for starts. I use it in a greater area than my part with 100% suscess.
I think the problem is that my hair is dyed blond and the roots come in super dark. There's nothing to cover that up. The spray worked perfectly on my grays when I had dark hair but that was a long time ago...

What I have been enjoying since it not sticky like that L’Oréal one and it covers my roots well is Rita Hazan in dark blond. I think that would work well for you!

I was wondering if it was important to leave hair spray or a primer on the area before putting the powder? Do you know if anyone does this with colorwow or clairol root touch up that is very similar?
I used the Clairol root touch for years (before I went blond) and didn't have any problems, right onto clean hair. Good point though!
I have dark hair with just a patch of grey in the front. Heard great things about this so bought it and wasn’t impressed at all! Beck to using the L’Oréal spray , much easier to use , cheaper and better result for me !

I’d say the color you chose would probably work best on very grey/white hair. You probably need to try the next darker shade which would give you soft shadow root which is very in style for fall. It did make the line of demarcation softer but not worth the time.
I totally agree. So this product isn't probably for me. I'm just gonna go dark in between 😣

I used to do my roots at home once my hair started to grey over 50% before going Grey … I used Professional Clairol Ash B99 & peroxide 10. I don’t think that will work for you😂 either. Bummer on the wow not so wow. 😮

I think it camouflaged the gray I don’t think it’s made to change the color of your roots just the gray….

Oh dear!
First off, your dark grey w/silver gray. You should get the dark blonde or light brown and then go back in with the platinum to add just a few highlights. Light or 'Blonde won't cover dark grey. Do it like a shadow root. And you need to get the Color Wow Color Corrector mouse FOR BLONDES bc your way orange, probably from your water source. Color Wow Color Corrector is the S%#%.You want to be a champagne blonde not orange and yellow. You just purchased the wrong color for your root, no biggie ask them to exchange it for the color you need.

You're not applying correctly and your colour choice is wrong...need to be lighter and stripe it to blend your blond into your root 😮
