- An old fashioned favorite of mine! Taking it back to the glue in days y'all lol. Such a quick and natural looking solution when you just want to add a little volume and length to your natural hair, Enjoy beauties!
Yesss...you are right about the natural hair community being very toxic sometimes. This video was so nostalgic, thank you for sharing.💜
Yes super nostalgic🖤
I’m apart of the natural hair community and I hate the fact that it’s so judgmental I do old school weaves as well or blow my hair out and whenever I do me and my BFF always bumps heads because of it having natural hair is a lot of work and sometimes my scalp needs a break
Glue can take your hair out if you rip the tracks out. But if you carefully remove it with conditioner or bond remover I've never had problems with this style. This method works better for me because I work out. You can wash, blolwdry, and straighten you hair weekly with this style. Mine last 4-6 weeks depending on how hot it is outside.
I feel the exact same way. My favorite conditioner for removal is Tresemmé. It slides right out every time😌
I let me my weaves start falling out before I remove them. LOL. Add some of that shampoo type bond remover, cover my head with a processing cap, let it soak in and then remove it easily. THe key though is to let the weave start falling out on its own first. Lol
But how do you get the glue out? It’s always left over when I do it therefore taking my hair out.
I work out but it the tracks always slip out. What type of glue do you use to bond the tracks?
@@avibecalledblessed7503 I use that 30 sec bonding glue and I then I blow dry each track after it is laid. Then I spray fantasia spirits right on the track...not the hair. I work out daily and after working out I blow dry my roots for about 5 minutes and my hair stays for weeks. Blow drying helps the tracks stay set. Hope this helps. Oh and I use fantasia spiritz or pump it up.
I started using this technique back on the late nineties, I grew my hair with this method along with protein treatments, it looked more natural, without bulges and I hate lace front wigs, or sew ins, and I like the fact it light so I never feel like I have a heavy hot ass wig, or bulky braids sewed into my weave.
I was born in the late 80s so I’m all for this. Like you said if you do it right.. ain’t no breakage. And 1 bundle of your natural length makes the weave undetectable. You did GREAT.
Awwww! Thank you! I learned this method from my older sisters and it’s always been my favorite way to install hair.
You do realize the 80s was 40 years ago right? Oh my fault you said late 80s 😂😂😂😂
I would love to know how to take it out properly.
I’m about to go get a silk press, trim, and glue my tracks in at home lol
Lol yesss. It’s my favorite style
Yes ma’am yes ma’am yessssss ma’am!
It’s about time someone other than me is still doing old school hair styling. This has to be one of my favorite quick styles. The best part is when you take it down correctly, you can also reuse them and repeat the same style. No one would ever know!!!! Again thank you and you look amazing🥰🥰
Thank you! Old school still has the best styles lol. And yes I’m definitely team reuse my hair lol.
I been looking at old skool weaves because lace aint where its at. And glue weaves made my hair grow better back in the day!
Same! That’s why I’ve decided the “old” ways work better for me
Thank you for doing this ! I wish there were more glue in tutorials and styling videos 😍
Thank you so much for watching
I really enjoyed this one. I am about to do me a quick one two with the glue, and I just wanted to see if anybody else still about that life… I enjoyed this one.. thanks taelor this was fire! 💕🥰🥰
You made that look so easy. I have always been a fan of glue-ins over other hair styles. It actually made my hair grow, like you I used conditioner to remove the tracks. I haven't had a glue in for years, but watching your video has inspired me to glue some tracks in.
Yesss! It’s my favorite quick hairstyle, let me know how yours turns out!
I Love this tutorial. I actually grow up in 90s doing this style! This type of quick weave helps my scalp breathe so much. My scalp is freeee! I can touch, scratch and massage my scalp with the old school weave. You did and excellent job! Beautiful and very natural looking!!👏❤❤❤❤❤
I have so much respect for the time and patience put into textured hair. I’m white and did glue in extensions in middle school and loved it. I’m always disappointed in any other extension application. Glue in is easy to apply and remove at home so I really don’t get why people hate it so much? I never experienced any damage or had a bad experience
Glue is definitely my favorite! It’s the fastest application method and it always comes out perfect for me
Love how this came out I love all styles glue ins quick and easy
Great job. I’m old school and the few times I did this method I didn’t have any issues with the glue damaging my hair. I used to love this because first I can’t really cornrow and when I used a cap before it gave me major headaches cause I suffer from migraines. So this was always easy for me and flat like yours couldn’t tell it wasn’t all mine 😊
This is definitely my favorite method, I usually buy the extra large caps to avoid the headache and only use 1 with the liquid mold if I’m doing it that way.
Honey you was speaking pure facts, you just gained you a new subscriberrrr 💖🤗 Your install came out FLAWLESS!
Soooo sweet! Thank you 🖤
This was my go to method for years love to see it still working
Very nice, glad you're bringing it back. Might do this style on myself.❤
This technique is literally all I know!!! #gluegang

Thank you so much ☺️
I love glue in old weave just bought some as we speak
Yessss! Let me know how yours’ turns out!
Looks good.
I love hicks edge it’s real edge control and holds hair using ur tutorial I do hair but I recommend hicks n gel to love blend n natural
Yesss hicks is an old favorite of mine too! I’m pretty sure it’s the “original” edge control lol
Great job💕
Thank you❤️
I am late but thank you ! ❤
Love ur video!!
Thank you🖤
Ppl take your hair out not the glue or sewing bad stylist whether it be an amateur or professional...I love me an old school glue in and your right it looks natural...
Yes me too! And I do them all the time with no problem
love it.
Thank you so much for the feedback❤️
Beautiful
Thank you!
Yes Lord do I remember these days
I love it girl!! You did a great job!! Have you tried liquid gold bond glue?
You saved my life and you don’t even know ❤.
I love the old school quick weave. I want to know why you cut the weft and then applied it to the part instead of taking the weft all the way to the section of your edges that you didn't want glue on? I never thought to cut it, then apply another small weft. I take one weft all the way. I usually only have to apply 5 or 6 wefts but I like your technique.❤
I never lose my hair with this method. I use to wash it out in two weeks when I washed my hair, it just came right out.
Beautiful

Wow you made this look so easy! How long do they stay in for ? Xx
This actually was the method that blended best and did not take my hair out. I would still do it if the hair had not become so expensive now. I like to discard the hair after removal
It definitely works the best for me and the removal is super easy. I’ve noticed the price increase as well but now I’m just trying out different brands until I find a new one I like😌
@@taelormartin post updates, please!
Remi saga is good to use and throw away. And for some reason the glue comes off of my Brazilian tracks really easy and I just re use them a few times.
@@cicelibrown8514 thank you 🙏🏽
You killed this! I’m going to try on 2 weeks!
Yayyy! Let me know how it turns out for you❤️
@@taelormartin ok I did it wrong! I think I didn’t use enough glue. Imma try again 🙂🤣
❤❤❤❤❤
Sooo pretty
I know I’m commenting late but how do you get the glue off your hair?
Do you have the link to the hair you used??
Just like any other extension hair style you have to be careful how you remove it. Removing any extension style can damage your hair.
Was looking for a video on how to do this method myself. My hair is too short for sew in. Thanks.
Happy I was able to help! Hope it works out for you!
What type of hair did you use?
Since you glue it right to your scalp does is move up toward a pony tail style ok? You can flip it and it doesn't hurt?
Yes! It’s very versatile but be mindful of placement around the hairline and parting if you want to do different styles💕
I have a questionnnnnnn, can I wash my glue in weave or will it fall out ? I want it to last a couple of weeks but my hair gets greasy fast
Great video thank you. How long did this install last?
I can usually wear this for 2-3 weeks with no problems. If you workout daily maybe a week at the most.
My hair is super thin and short . gonna try but it's hard when you don't have to much hair.
Just try to get extensions that closely match your natural texture
Split the track in half with a eyebrow shaper. If your hair is black, use a little black hair spray to camouflage the areas that look see through
Can I ask what hair bundle you used and if there is a link to it please
Heyyy! It’s the yaki straight from Better Length! One bundle😌
I was thinking of doing this but is it save to glue the weave to your natural hair and come out with out damage on the natural hair? And how long does it last?
I’ve never had any damage caused by this method. It’s all about how you remove it just like any other extensions. It only lasts me about 3 weeks. Sometimes less when I’m working out consistently.
What kind of dryer is that? I need that. It looks much sturdier than the long end dryers with the comb attachment that always breaks
Hey👋🏽! It’s the Conair gift set dryer! I got it as a gift last year around Christmas along with the flat iron and all attachments. I’m pretty sure you can get it at Walmart for $45
@@taelormartin thanks so much for the info! I’m going to look for it.
Can you put it in so you can part in the middle or the sides
Of course! I’ve done it plenty of different ways over the years. It all depends on the direction you lay the wefts.
Can u do it with like blk and a little bit of blue?
Of course! Its all about getting the texture and dominant color to match. Ive done blonde and brown like this before as well.
Anyone have postpartum shedding & do this method? I wanna do it but my hair is shedding I had a baby last year
When I had my postpartum shedding I kept my hair braided up but honestly it’s up to you. There’s not much you can do to completely stop the shedding but you can minimize it by taking great care of your hair.
Where do you lay down the tracks? On the hair or scalp?
I’m posting a video to answer this question tomorrow!
This is very beautiful. How many packs did u use?
Hey! I only used 1 bundle for this install
How do you a ponytail with the glued in hair?
I’m actually filming that next week! But same process, it’s all about track placement.
Does the glue go on the scalp or on the root of the hair?
I always do the scalp because it’s easier to remove. Hope this helps!
How many tracks did you use from back to mid way
I want to say half a bundle so maybe 5/6 cut pieces.
Tyfs..what length tracks were these sis?
If I remember correctly they were 14 & 16inch.
@taelormartin OK thanks🤗
How long do they last with hair washing?
It can last 2-3 weeks without washing. Normally when I wash my hair once a week I just take them out and re-install because the water makes the tracks loosen.
So what is the best glue to use?
I prefer the Salon pro 30 second bonding glue. It’s quick to dry and easy to remove. Also the same brand makes a glue remover for that specific product! You can get it at almost any beauty supply store.
@@taelormartin is it available in Amazon
@@ebtisamahmed8187 I just checked and yes it is.
How do you keep the tracks from slipping out?
Just monitor my daily activity, don’t add any extra oils or heavy products while wearing this style! Fair warning it’s not gym friendly though, at least not for me. Hope this helps!
Honestly its better than tape ins tspe ins dangerous asf lol
Lol I’ve heard that from people and I’m kinda scared to try them
What length was the hair?
I want to say I got a 16inch, but it was so long ago lol. I recently did it with an 18inch and got the same results though❤️
Do u think it’ll last if I’m a athlete and I sweat?
Honestly probably not, maybe a week at most !
I'm a runner and this doesn't last at all.
@@avibecalledblessed7503 100% AGREE. I recently started working out daily and I need a new hairstyle lol
@@taelormartin after you glue the track down and place it...spray spritz right over the track area and blow dry it....the style will last longer and through work outs.
You kinda sound like Lauren London 😊
AWWWWW🥰🥰 that’s the BIGGEST compliment to receive. Thank you!
What Brand Is Your Blowdryer?
Conair ! I’ve seen it at Target and Walmart
Thank you
Which blow dryer is that?
I can’t remember the exact name on the box at the moment but the brand is Remington and it came from Walmart I think. It was apart of a gift set I received for Christmas
What glue do you use please
what kind of hair
Hey! It’s the light yaki human hair from better length!
What length is your hair
In this video I would say neck length at longest, currently it’s at my shoulders. I’m in the process of cutting out the layers 😌
Thanks 👍
Did you use human hair ?
Yes! It’s from better lengths, an online company! I used one bundle
