Thank you for what you do for all of us, your channel has become one of my absolute favorites and I really enjoy seeing your farm! We also run a small farm and it's very rewarding, started freeze drying stuff about 2 years ago and have been trying to stay prepared for whatever is coming our way. Looking forward to your next video, God bless you and the family
You make your hard work such a dream to hold❤ Thank you for explaining the growth cycle of sustainability. Prayers continue for Aiden and all your precious family ❤
Colby, you do such a great job of explaining the growth cycle on your farm. We are in our 70's and struggle to manage a few raised beds but it is so worth it. The bounty only lasts a short while but there is so much satisfaction in knowing we grew a delicious salad or vegetable side all by ourselves. Thanks for what you do to inspire people to at least give some type of farming a try. God bless you and protect all that you grow on the farm!
You guys are giving more life knowledge to our future leaders than any school could ever give. Self sustainability to provide for family should be everyone's priority.
Colby, this channel is AWESOME. I enjoyed watching all the activities on the farm. It's like I ask Misty, "how do you get it all done and have a full-time job also??" You are full of so much great in-depth information. Love that the kids are home schooled so they can see and learn such valuable lessons and help you. Such a great way for them to be raised. GOD BLESS YOU AND MISTY, THE CHILDREN AND YOUR FARM. ❤😊 I PRAY FOR AADEN.
We used to grow red stars black stars and buffs so one year the black stars one year the red stars and when you're the best some of the a productions slow down when you pretty much what ones were older and starting to not lay anymore
I hope all newbies that think they want to start homesteads listen to what you are saying!!! Homesteading is not an easy breezy job! You and Misty are the hardest working people I know! God Bless! Merry Christmas!
I grew up homesteading in northern MI, and carried it on here in the mountains of NY on a smaller scale. Nothing better than growing your own food. Great channel, beautiful family.
@@mishygoo indeed God's country here. I'm prepped up to ride it out on my property for over 6 years. No need to leave, don't want to leave. Small world indeed. We went to school in Flushing, Linden and Fenton. 🥰. I lived on Saginaw East side for several years before moving back to Beaverton.
Thank you very much for this fantastic video. I'm so grateful that I found your's & Misty's channels. I've learned so much & feel like part of your family. God bless y'all. ❤️ the Macs!
Really enjoy these new videos! So educational & entertaining! Like how the kids come along to help & play!! I could plant a garden & have fruit trees & berries and I could have chickens for eggs, but I wouldn't have it in me to raise an animal to butcher.
I wish I knew what I know now 30 years ago! We do what we can! Your plan is so beneficial for those that are just starting ! Speaking about your old red truck if it doesn’t have any computer components it will survive! Where other vehicles won’t !
Loving this. It's making me want to go back to raising cows again. We moved to town several yeras ago to watch over aging parents. We however buy from local farms for our beef and pork. Thank you for all 3 channels. ❤🙏🕊
When I was 14 I spent the summer with my Grandmother on a farm. While I was there I'd go with my Aunt to the meat locker in town. The had huge cows, pigs and chickens of which was an overabundance of meat. My Aunt had a nice large size garden and their corn was so good. She also made her own butter and was that ever good. The sad thing is I ended up having to go back home at the end of the summer but loved being on the farm. So thi is a treat watching y'all. Thanks and Love y'all.
You live such a beautiful life. My grandparents lived a farm life and were self sufficient. It is a lot of hard work but so great. Bless you and yours.
I agree on chainsaws, we are constantly working on them! The auto oiler quit working and froze up the bar sprocket, the other saws pull cord broke! It’s good to have backups to backups!
Thank you for explaining the process or rotation with livestock. We’ve been trying to find our happy place with that and this shines a lot of light on it
Awesome advice on homesteading Colby … Love this new channel.. Keep on spreading Homesteading info I Love it … God Bless and Love Yall ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️❤️
Enjoyed the video Colby! I don't like pine trees either. Our property is surrounded by mostly pines trees & even after cutting many of them, we still have random pines fall on our fences occasionally too.
We drove to Amish country in Ohio yesterday to get our local ground meat!!!! Better eggs too. I made banana pancakes with my unbleached organic flour and had a sausage egg pancake KINGS breakfast!!!! I’m a farm girl at heart!!!!! Thanks for showing us the right way. Merry Christmas and Blessed and prosperous New Year!!!!!
I surely wish I could grow my own beef and pigs! I just don’t have the room! I admire your family! I am on a fixed income due to disability but do grow my own chickens and gardey
Finally! UA-cam was not allowing me to comment on your videos! Other ones, I could comment! So frustrating. I may go back, rewatch them, then comment. Merry Christmas and God bless you, Misty and your beautiful family! 🎄🦋💗🙏🙏🙏
I just love this! I learned so much about farming. I could watch it again, in fact, I am certain that I will. Your farm is absolutely beautiful. You are a great teacher Colby.
Hope Ayden is doing well. Love these videos on how you run the farm and why you are doing it. Hard work to do what you all do, so you need to work effectively so your family is benefiting from the work you all do. Merry Christmas to you all. Best wishes
Great information, that most have no idea how homesteading and farming really work. I had a fisher come into our farm and in one afternoon he took out 21 of my chickens. He actually came into our barn and took all the birds except 5 of them. One of the he took was my rooster. So this spring I will have to get all new chickens 😞 God bless and have a very Merry Christmas 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Thank you guys so much for watching!!!
Thank you for making alternate content, it broadens all of our lives. God bless, and prayers up for Aiden.

It’s so neat to see how you I don’t have to hardly buy anything for food that you already have it there on your farm!
You are so right EVERYTHING HAS A PURPOSE. People have forgotten that. Thanks for sharing your hard work!!! God Bless!!!!🙏❤️🙏
Great way to always be sustainable.
