@@javiervasquez625 Very much welcome. Edgerunners is one of those few titles where almost everyone agrees that both JP and EN dubs are done well. In most other titles the debate can be pretty divisive, but JP usually wins out due to the sheer size of their talent pool. However, EN has been killing it lately with their new generation of dubbers matching or even surpassing the old guard who were blamed for the bad EN dubs of the 2000s and 2010s, as well as the fall of Vic Mignogna. It helps EN that they casted live actor Giancarlo Esposito, best known as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Caul Saul, as Faraday, and beloved old guard VA Matthew Mercer as Falco. So, I have listened to this clip in the featured languages, and for me English, French, and Italian have the best David while English, Japanese, and German have the best Lucy. Regarding your remark about Maria Jose Moreno as Lucy, she did Nagisa Shiota in Assassination Classroom before, but perhaps the people in charge of casting underestimated how different of a character Lucy is compared to Nagisa. Moreno sounds alright here as Lucy, but compared to the amazing performances of Yuuki, Lo, and Pietermann, her Lucy does sound kind of weak. Jose Angel Torres is back with the Mexico City accent he used for Saito Hiraga in La Magia de Zero as David Martinez, despite the character being stated to be from the Dominican Republic, perhaps to emphasize his Latino roots.

Not usually a fan of dubs, this one is pretty decent tho. The way she says boyyo hits different not gonna lie tho 🔥
Lucy: "what a bad boyyo"
Me: yes... yes I am 🧎
Does that mean youre going to rewatch it on dubs?
You can actually hear what their nationalities are in dub though... I'd say it's one of the best dubs out there

Dub is superior for this one imo
oh, i see now. This is some kind of trauma week. Not gonna tell , that's smart move Netflix, smart move.
Let's be honest here every week is trauma week at Netflix is how they keep business afloat.
This anime really came out of no where, gave us all depression, and left
最初は大人のお姉さんって感じで高圧的だけど、後半はメスになってるの本当好き😊
The start of one of the best romance in anime.
Or worst considering it's conclusion.
@@javiervasquez625 i feel like the conclusion was very fitting for the narrative that the story was trying to tell
It seemed to me that the girl just plain hated him for being shorr and ethnic.
She was treating him like an incel.
Not quitw romantic
@@kalamitoRUS nah it's just that whole "no guys stick around long", "you're just going to end up dead" kinda situation. Then she played hard to get, imo the series could of slowed down a bit and had two seasons to separate the time skip. We could of had more character development and watched their relationship build closer. Was still good regardless,im happy with it.
@@kalamitoRUS HUH?! I think it was very clear Lucy loved David. She was a bit tough on him at first, but that’s only because cyberpunks usually die quick. She said it herself, she was tough on David and a little mysterious because she didn’t want David to die. She liked him and didn’t want him to suffer a death as a punk. However, when David showed he was truly all in on this life and wanted to make the most of it, Lucy understood and revealed her true feelings. She fell for David just as David fell for her. Lucy even tried fighting arasaka alone later down the line for David’s sake, leaving her career and risking her life. She left everything behind just to keep David safe. What do you mean she hated him for being ethnic and treated him like an incel?
netliflix always succeeds in giving fans trauma 💀😀
Depression and nihilism seem to be a genre in an of itself with Netflix i'm surprised reviewers of the streaming service haven't pointed out all the shows which aknowledge the bleak, sad, self destroying side of human life which affects our very life every day.
@@javiervasquez625 With wording like that, you’re making it sound like we’re born to die lmao.
@@odsttrooper3724 Haven't you read/watch stuff like Attack on Titan, Berzerk, etc? They all delve into the very idea that the Universe is this meaningless void in which we're all just born and then die. The best animes are the ones who bring the most impactful themes to the public eye.
Don't give Netflix credit. They only have the streaming service. It's CDPR's world, and Trigger's hard work.

Depending on the listener's language if you ask me. Ask a japanese speaker what they think of the japanese dub from their point of view before suggesting your native dub is the superior one amonge them all.

In context seeing which voice actor from which specific dub has the more roles to their credit serves to pinpoint which one of them delivers the best performance and show the most versatility to convey their character's emotions and personality as they change and develop through the course of the narrative. Thank you for showcasing a brief listing of their repertoire.
I love how David grabbed Lucy’s hand like “Girl, what are you doing?” Lol

Either wait for a "supposed" alternate DLC which CRPR might release in the future(as some professed "leaks" suggest) or simply read a fanfic.
@@javiervasquez625 Wait what leak?
An alternate ending where David decided to sell the Sandevistan to Maine instead of his personal use, funded his own education, reached a career in Arasaka and turned Corpo.
@@bonxlinx There are people in Twitter saying some of the higher ups at CD Projekt Red have been teasing a future campaign DLC starring the cast of Edgerunners as a sort of "alternate scenario" where it's all happily ever after story similar to the Star and Sun endings of Cyberpunk 2077. 2 choices: Anthology with a new cast of characters or another prequel series with cameos from the original cast. Also the creators are busy working on other things at the moment meaning it might be impossible to work on "second season" anytime soon.
Kinda fucked up she had those wires around his neck, given how easily they can slice through limbs and necks later on.
Bring us the season 2!
Saddly it might not happen due to CD Projekt Red revealing mutliple projects of which they'll be wasting money and manpower for the next *10 years* to focus exclusively on producing another anime in the Cyberpunk universe. If you're in your 20s right now expect to see the next big Cyberpunk game by time you're around 25 or 26. Who knows you might get the chance to see something soon depending on wether they'll try to keep people hyped with more spinoff shows and what not.
@@javiervasquez625 They don't need many resources to continue with the anime, CD Project just need a couple of people to make the history, the studio Trigger and Netflix money do the rest. This will make the fans happy and bring new ones, between games releases.
@@Sousaice But they are not INTERESTED in making one as of right now due to the many other IPs they are currently busy with to bother wasting budget to get the same writers back plus rehiring Trigger all from the USA while wasting money on sequels and their brand new IP. It would be such a huge investment for the company to add more heavy work to their schedule that it's simply not viable for the company to do. You'll have to wait until something comes up before getting your hopes up.
Studio Trigger is not really known for second seasons of their titles.
@@javiervasquez625 you’re wrong . anime was a huge success and boosted cyberpunk views greatly . before around 40k-50 user playing daily . To 100k+ users daily closing on 200.
