hey y’all! a friend (thank u milly) quickly notified me that my bmc glitches because I use regular motion tile instead of the built in bmc motion tile (this is what I get for never properly watching a bmc tutorial lol). Just wanted to clarify my awareness before TONS of comments start rolling in about it!

At 0:55 when she drags her yellow lines in the graph, if you don't have those little extra line things, highlight your keyframes and press F9. Mine weren't there but when I did that it activated easy ease and let me edit my graph like her's

the one direction music in the back MAKES THIS SO MUCH BETTER
For the pinch warp, on the second part of the transition, if you don't have sapphire, use 'Optics compensation'! this is a standard ae effect which gives you the same (and maybe even a better effect imo) than the sapphire fisheye!
Tysm for this! This is really helpful because I’m new to ae and really want to know how to make edits like most editors on ig that use ae. (Btw thank you SOOO much for zooming into the effects every time you add a next effect that really helped me!)

I was like that, be careful when downloading plug ins tho, some have viruses . like rsmb (smoother edits), sapphire (the s_blurmocurve and more) and the magic bullet look (coloring)
you will get used to it soon, just keep editing no matter how bad or good your edits are and you will end up finding your style

for the split slide for the thing in the middle you can also use solid --> 3d stroke and press the time thingy on "end" and edit those keyframes to get that same effect :)

thank you for this! i just got a cracked ae (cause i’m pOor) and i just watched a vid on the basic transitions and how to do everything, i was making an edit and was running out of transitions LMAO and this vid popped up and it’s just what i needed😩! tyy
2:13 uuuh, you could also use the effect "Optics Compensation" with the checkbox "reverse lens distortion" ticked, and it should look absolutely the same. You don't need any plugins, also the scale is nothing new, just change your motion blur settings if you want more or less blur with movements.

@@llauraferreira its quite difficult, yes, but i started yesterday and i've been watching tutorials. after you watch a few tutorials u get the hang of using basic effects and transitions and u can start making them by urself! i just suggest watching tutorials like these bc u'll basically start to memorize them!

I have been editing on ae for a few weeks and you get used to it! something i tried is testing out alight motion on phone first as they have a few similarities! tutorials on youtube are also helpful. if you want to switch to ae, i totally recommend doing it!

0:46 i've got motion tile applied with the width and height at 250 (and i've tried greater values too) mirror edges are checked. but when i keyframe the z dist i'm only seeing a small amout of mirror, the rest of the images is just a transparent background and idk what im doing wrong 😫

i'm a new ae editor so learning anything other than slides, simple rotations, and zooms gives me a headache. but with this, i did that split screen transition of my post earlier today and it turned out awesome.

try to easy ease the keyframes before clicking on the graphs and also highlight the part which shows when you open the graph part, if this doesn't help please watch several videos on the beginner's videos if you're a beginner
