- A woman's story of survival is truly inspiring after she was abducted and tortured by a notorious serial killer. Jennifer Asbenson was 19 when she was abducted by Andrew Urdiales. 24 years later, she returned to California's Desert Hot Springs to record a video explaining her daring escape to encourage others never to give up. Asbenson was walking to a bus stop near Palm Springs, California, in September 1992 when she was offered a ride by Urdiales, who is believed to have killed eight women.

The only thing I can keep thinking is she was lucky he didn't tie her hands up tightly and if those guys didn't happen to be around to save her she would've been eventually caught up with by him possibly. So many variables and so scary I can't imagine going through something like that

No, it was not her fault. How about this: people shouldn't go around with the intent to rape and murder. She may have gotten in the car, but in NO way did she know what was to come. Perhaps a error of judgment on her part but in no way is she at fault for this despicable man's actions!

Evil has existed since the beginning of time and will continue to affect people for longer than any of us will live to know. With that said, never ever hop into a car with a stranger. REGARDLESS of the time period. If you're truly dumb enough to throw yourself into the hands of a complete stranger, god forbid, I can't find much sympathy for you if you get kidnapped.
