I think those of us of more modest means owe a debt of gratitude to Kurt Klaus and his genius for making the Perpetual Calendar an accessible option. I've been eyeing the same movement but in an IWC Portofino in yellow gold, as it is tantalizingly within my price range. I'm targeting next year as I just made my acquisition for the year; an Explorer II 16570. I had the Tudor Burgundy 41 with the in-house movement; slab sideness aside, it is another brilliant watch with very satisfying winding and bezel action. A little top heavy, but wore extremely comfortably. Kudos. Excellent discussion as usual. Thank you.
Kurt Klaus has to be one of the most influential watchmakers of our time! You certainly have a great eye for watches, guessing you would struggle to stop at three as well 😁

I'm working on it. 😅@@3watchcollection
A well balanced collection gents. It was good to hear your rationale and the stories behind each. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Ok… this is a really great, attainable, well thought 3-watch collection.
Thank you!
3 incredible watches and great to hear your thoughts about them.
Thanks for watching!
Rouge in french is just red. Just like moulin rouge/the red mill. I would call that colour bordeaux
You are right. But Rich was referring to the "R" designation in the reference number.
