I am sorry that you are feeling under the weather, but hope that you will be feeling much better soon. Heidi is absolutely adorable; she has such an expressive little face. Our trip to The Netherlands was cold and rainy, but there were bits of fun - tulips and yarn. Of course, we came home with colds that we are trying to get rid of. Take care and I am looking forward to our next episode. ❤

Hi Lesley, I hope you continue to feel better. Every sympathy with the grumbling appendix. Mine grumbled all through my teens and early twenties. They grumbled once too often, and I had them out. It just happened to be 4 weeks before our wedding!

I love the term “grumbling appendix”!! My girlfriend had a similar issue with her gall bladder and it took over 2 months to get to surgery to take it out. Just to be on the cautious side, the medical team kept ordering tests but several times, her gallbladder was not acting out. I am glad that you got to take the rest you needed. Feel better.

I had appendicitis in my 20’s. I had never been that sick before or since. It was my first experience with surgery so that was a wake up. I do hope yours does not grumble again. I love the red sweater on you. Very nice. Take care. ❤

I hope you are feeling better soon. I am glad it didn’t turn out to be gallstones, I hear those are terribly painful. Our weather here is Alberta has been weird too. We thought spring was here, then it snowed, then melted and got sunny, then more snow today. Mother Nature needs to make up her mind. That first birthday after a loved one passes away is always just the worst.

Oh Leslie, so sorry to hear you have been poorly. 😢 Grumbling appendix, yes mine went from complaining to require removing when I was 11. Sending happy, healthy wishes in your direction. Enjoy your podcasts as always. As a note on my Canadian weather, Easter weekend was snowing and or raining. Improving as we reach this weekend, we are sitting at 7°C and we have yellow crocus popping up! Spring is coming 😊. Keep well. Elizabeth

Hope you soon feel a lot better! You are lucky that you only had a 3 hour round trip to A&E - often in the UK you have to wait much longer! Really like your little lap blanket that you made - I'm sure whoever gets it will appreciate it.

Sorry that you’ve felt so awful and hope that you’re on the mend and that the grumbling will not come back again!!! Celebrating your dad’s birthday with your family at his favorite pub sounds like a wonderful way to honor him. Take care and hope that next week you’ll feel more like yourself.

That sounds so scary and painful! My sister-in-law had to have an emergency appendectomy a few years ago. Praying yours never rumbles again. ❤️🩹

Sorry to hear you’ve been poorly this week. Hopefully they will be able to sort you out soon and you were able to be seen quickly. Not very nice though. I hope you are able to enjoy your meal out with your friends as that always gives you a real boost if you’re a bit off colour! Glad too that sweet Heidi is OK after her dental procedure. Bless her she is such a cute girl! Take care x

Sorry you’ve been unwell. Do be careful with gallstones though. I ignored the symptoms for months and months and used all sorts of herb infusions and painkillers for what I supposed was bad digestion, until I was rushed to have emergency surgery abroad during a work assignment 4 years ago. The pain was as you described, but at liver level, front and back, and the worst at night, and it ruined my sleeping pattern until recently. Hopefully you’ll feel better soon. Sending positive vibes and sunshine after the warmest ever day yesterday (probably the same across where you live). Cheers xx

I've never heard of a grumbling appendix! I feel like March was a blur for me as i dealt with a very bad case of bronchitis. I'm still trying to catch up at work as i took a week off and worked half days the following week. If i could take an hour nap every afternoon, that would be great. But i am grateful it was no worse. Hi Elizabeth - sorry that you've been poorly - that sounds nasty. I get the catching up and the fatigue thing - I felt as though I was on half speed for most of last week. Hope you are able to rest, when you can, and that you feel the benefit of it. Take good care xx

That's 2 weeks in a row I've looked around the room to see who you were talking to after your opening statement. 😂 I went thru the exact same symptoms (sans womitting) 2 months ago and have to go for an ultrasound. I had no idea an appendix could grumble. I always thought it was full on tantrum or nothing. The things you learn on a knitting podcast, eh?! 😂

You are lucky. My appendix went from hello to surgical emergency with sepsis in 24 hrs. Currently predicting cold snap here now all fruit trees blooming. Enduring myasthenia drug shortage and feeling very vulnerable as improvement disappeared when couldn't get regular med. Needed to see someone else coping today

Like another commenter I have had a bad spell recently that echos some of your symptoms. I had a couple nights of very bad back pain that kept me from sleeping. My doctor has sent me on a series of blood tests, an ultrasound and next week a bone CT scan. She ruled out a couple of the scarier options - gallstones was also mentioned. I now feel a bit better but still have trouble sleeping. Kind of groggy most days, with spells of “not too bad.” T’ain’t no fun, so I really hope your ailment goes away or gets treated successfully. @NotQuiteEnoughYarn today is my birthday and one of calls was from my cousin Debbie. Her son had a heart attack last night, but he got fast treatment with a stint being put in. We are grateful that tge ambulance was well equipped and could tell the hospital what was going on. One artery was 100 percent blocked! He was doing well this morning. I will have a late birthday lunch with friend later. I hope you are on the mend. Take care.

Going to the hospital is never pleasant, even in the best of situations. Gastrointestinal illness is the WORST. Not only do you get to experience the symptoms, but you get so tired.
I'm hoping that your ultrasound proves uneventful. The good news is that if you would ever need surgery, it is a simple laparoscopic procedure rather than incisional. Hopefully you don't ever need to consider the method in your future. Please rest up! Sending love. XO
