A Gousto box including delivery comes in at almost £40 for 4 meals for 2 people so £10 per meal and you’re preparing it all yourself. So 2 for £11.99 to eat out and have your washing up done for you and you can both choose a different meal. I’d say you can’t really complain.
if go to any greene king you get 2 mains for 11.49, or weds you can build any burger for 5 quid which are normally 8 to 9 quid each. cheaper and better quality Deano
Yeah you can't knock it. Any pub apart from Weatherspoons nowadays you're paying £4 to £5 a pint. Bargain eats, no cooking or washing up at home. Ok food for the money eh. Id buy that for a dollar 😉😂
It's a health & safety thing because of the stone steps, carrying hot food drinks etc.

Good Evening Mr & Mrs Deano. A very Lovely walk along the Canal path, Beautiful and Gorgeous Canal Boats to admire. The Watemill of Halifax. Really Good menu and Selection of different dishes to choose from. I thought that the prices were very Good. I was really Worried Deano about you Burning your mouth when you were having your Beef Lasange, your Salad Garnish was not Good as for your Garlic Bread, it was Not Good. Your Wife's Gammon and Eggs with Chips and peas. Not to bad, the Chips looked over cooked and the Peas very Hard like bullets. Gammon was nice, to much Fat on the outside. I would have chosen for myself, the Chicken Guojon's for the starter, and the Large Mixed Grill with all of the trimming's. To drink, a Lovely pint of the Local Beer, perhaps another one to follow. I am sure they could have let you have eaten your meal outside at one of the tables. I really did think, it was very Good value for your money Deano and Mrs Deano. 8.5/10.

Table Table pubs (run by Whitbread brewery) do a similar offer. Before covid used to be 2 for £8.50 now 2 for £10.49

If that thing came out of the kitchen microwaved, it would be going straight back in.
How do you suppose they are going to heat up lasagna,you can’t make it to order,it takes much to long,so if you cut a piece from a refrigerated pan of lasagna you will need to heat it for service,now a piece of that size would take 30-40 minutes in the over,and it would dry out.I don’t think most people would be happy waiting that amount of time to get their lunch.How do you reheat your homemade lasagna,I reheat mine in the microwave.

I don't mind brewers fayre we have 1 near us, it is cheap and cheerful but the meals are ok, if you have meals off the main menu instead of the saver menu and sign up to the website you'll get codes for money off, I get alot of 40% off codes but it's only off full price meals, doesn't include drinks, ours has a small soft play area which is nice, we can have a meal while my son plays, but the outdoor play area was shut down due to safety concerns so make of that what you will, overall I like brewers fayre, used to be better in the old days when it was Charlie chalk lol
I would have given it a 7 as well, lasagne looked tasty, please go back for the unlimited breakfast

Go to the chennels pub in Barnsley and ask for braising steak .. you will not be disappointed I got recommended it by a man from Coventry and it was a solid 9.8

I will tell you one thing deano and I know, it’s very rare you get. Homemade lasagne in pubs, they are all bulk frozen split and served in dished like this, mst of the time they use cannelloni rolls. It’s a poor effort in these type of pubs kitchen, ping and ding, steam and seer the meats.

just had lasagna at my local Italian Restaurant one lump of pasta in the middle surrounded by the meat sauce absolutely disgusting price was around 15.00

You don't get much for £6 a meal these days but that looked ok , you mentioned about not being able to use the tables below the stone steps to the garden area ? There risk assessment and health and safety policies might refrain them from carrying hot food and drinks down the steps , can you imagine the furthest table away and four people order sides and a main course each , that would be more than one trip from the kitchen ? Did you not ask why , or contact head office , or they just don't want the hassle of trying to cope with the numbers they might have to serve , not many people inside unless you were there just as they opened.
The meals look arguably acceptable but if i pay for tomatoe i wan't the whole tomatoe Where has the other half gone ? Surely to another paying customer and microwaved Lasange It always sets alarms bells ringing when the dish is super hot Yes i would probably say microwaved And should be freshly made everyday Not microwaved from who knows when I would give that a 5/10 at best and that's being generouse
It's no different than Wetherspoons I think mate. Majority is microwavable and supplied to pubs on a large scale. For the price, it's OK to soak up the beer I suppose. As we know, we get what what we pay for. All the best.

If they make a lasagna fresh every day they still need to refrigerate it,you can’t have a product sitting out,it’s against the health department,if you put it on a hot table it will dry out,so to give you the best,and safest product,it’s kept refrigerated,till an order comes in then it’s microwaved,then you get a hot,and juicy lasagna for your lunch.
Thumbs down on the Lasagne, there was hardly any pasta at all. Cheap meals are usually not much cop. You get what you pay for and that isn't much. Did you ask whether you could carry your food outside, or was that a big non no. Once it had been served yuo can do what you like with it. The drink prices are the norm for us living in the southern part of England. However I thought that the cost of a Lager Shandy was a real rip off. Would I recommend the breakfast ...No. However I would like a review of the 3 mini pies. The attracted my curiosity.
For me Hungry Horse chain is miles better.

If it was hot in the centre it was oven fresh. Microwaved food is either cold/warm in the centre and if warm or hot in the centre then it's often dry and nuked on the edges…this looked oven-fresh as not dry on the edges. I think you have done this dish a disservice. The Gammon looked dry and unappetizing. The eggs and fries didn't look appealing either 😢
Bit tight with garlic bread
Your meal deano looked a bit depressing to be honest one piece of garlic bread bit tight that lasagne looked okay but obviously microwaved which is a shame when you can actually do that yourself at home

So if u went out with ur children for dinner how could u sit inside and leave ur children outside to play, i know i wouldnt be happy with that, stupid idea of seating i can see the stairs being a problem so the whole set up just dont work
