I grew up with a rottie. She passed away after 11 wonderful years. She was so amazing and I remember my mom working with her all the time. I'm not sure she even knew she was a dog. Finally after 15 years my family is finally getting our own Rottie. As I was a kid l wasn't her dog-mom so as much as I loved her I wanted to make sure I was really ready to take care of one on my own. I am so thankful for your videos! They have helped me prepare to be a responsible dog owner and I, too, want to change the reputation of Rotties. They are nothing but big teddy bears and I want the world to see it.
I finally my got baby Rottweiler back home yesterday, flew to Denver from Florida to get her so this videos helps out a lot thank you

This has to be the most informative vid I've watched, great job! Our new rottie puppy is the same age as Jr. So, I will be watching & joining your journey with you & Jr. My older rott is 9 yrs old named Hooch after the movie Hooch (w/Tom Hanks). We named him that because he also destroyed shoes, rugs, potty pads, etc. He drove me nuts that I almost sold him on Craigslist. He's a very loving couch potato now. We love him so much! His nickname is Hoochy Pooch.

I been watching your videos - I’m very exciting to be adopting a Rottweiler on Monday and expanding my immediate family to a team of 3. Right now it’s just my son and I. He’s 8. I was looking for great loyal & guard dog. We are very affectionate and energetic here. I’m hoping all goes well it’s been a few years since I had a dog of my own. I’m in need of emotional support, and my son had autism and I heard they work well with children on the spectrum if you socialize them very early on.
Jnr is growing fast- getting big- spoil rotten- you treat all your dogs best-100% love and attention each 💯❤👍
After 111 Rotties, I have 5gallon bucket all over my property, Rotties LOVE fresh water- changed out every day! They drink a lot of water!!!! GREAT INFO!

I used this same dog food, Purina One puppy food for large breeds; I also used Diamond brand for puppies. I would switch up each month. I now use Purina One and Diamond for my adult dogs, and I mix them and keep them in a large metal Trash can. My dogs love it. The dogs grew like mad! I love the soft and hard morsels in the Purina One. Great dog food. Purina has been around forever. Remember that.

I heard if you only gave the puppies dry kibble it can gave them like stomach cancer you can give them dry kibble but once in a while give then like wet kibble
I mix kibble and wet food topper with my evening feeding, dry kibble in the morning

Hi, I have a female Rottweiler already and I went to training school with her because she was my first dog ever, but I am getting a male puppy tomorrow 7 mos. Can you tell me about them going in heat as males and what to do? Will the male actually break out the fence if he is in heat?? Just wondering because my female is fixed but I don't want to get the new male puppy fixed?

Your videos are so helpful, we love watching your channel. Wondering if you have any advice for feeding an extremely picky 4 month old rottie? She is not growing as she should be and we can't seem to get her to eat. She's doing medically well other than being underweight. Any advice helps. Thanks!
For older dogs that are starting to have hip problems I highly recommend snouts power it works very well

Yes I also mostly use his food to train its great getting a good couple minutes of training before every meal my rottie tony is starting to love his training and can eat an entire meal with just using his food for training

Hi, A great video to watch n so loving all the family of rotties. I lost my last rottie 6 years ago n the family staffie a month ago n now welcomed a new rottie puppy into my home, she is 12 weeks old. Im feeding her on Ava dry dog food (only as last owner had her on that) n have since found out the down side to the food. Im struggling to find a dry food that is good for her to keep her healthy n for her to grow the best way she should. Can you please advise. You hav a new sub. Luv from the UK x

For the first two months, my puppy ate nothing by moons over my hammy from Denny's. Then months 3 through 6 he had Pillsbury toaster strudel and eggos. Right now, he's in a teenage phase and eats ellios pizza and tostinas pizza rolls. I think he's starting to experiment with drugs now too, like any other teenager. Cause I saw him eating a Doritos and jelly sandwich. I think he was getting the munchies.

Hey everyone, I recently got a Rottweiler puppy named Reyna. She is 4 months old, weighs about 30 pounds, and I'm following the purina one large breed feeding plan but she seems hungry after every time (or at least scarffs it down and searches for more, i'm assuming she is still hungry). She is eating 3 times a day (3 1/2 cups a day), I give her supplements, fish oil, and a 3-5 blueberries a day. She definitely has her little nap after morning feed, but I'm wondering if she is telling me to feed her more.. I'm also very interested in starting a raw diet I think at 5 months, if that is recommended as I want to give her a wonderful life and allow her to grow to her true potential.
Any thoughts?

Hey guys I’m a new rott owner. I got the puppy through a friend, the pup is around 4-6 weeks old (I think that but to early to away from his mama but this person gave me the pup.) I’m really new at owning a rott and I just want to give him a healthy life possible. Since I got him he got Epilepsy, he started shaking and saliva was coming out his month. I took him to the vet treated him and I brought him back home. I feel like his weak but I was reading they sleep 16-17 hours a day. I been giving him cooked liver and chicken with some dry food. He puked the cooked food couple of times I fed him. This only been my 4th day having him. I love this dude, I’ve been reading a lot and got some good information from this UA-cam. But Can any one give me any more tips please.

12 weeks is the earliest I would. Check the label on the brand you're using
What about adding a little bit of cow milk to help with the calcium intake?

Hey Collin I have two Rottweiler puppies. One eats really fast actually believe he’s just swallowing his food not actually chewing it. I have a maze bowl that he gets feed in every meal but he eats like he is starving. Feeding one cup three times a day but sounds like I should be feeding 3 cups three times a day. They are 16 weeks today. Last time at the vet (October 4 )weighed 20 and 24 pounds.
If feeding dry food, option to wet it allow it to expand before feeding so it doesn’t expand in stomach and cause bloat.

We have 3 month old rotty female. My sons are having issues with how to redirect her biting nipping. I've told them not to run or hit her with an object. Would like to know what u think about how to correct a puppy's nipping or biting. And how my boys can correct her.
Collin, I've raised Rotties since the early 90's and have 3 now. My female is 2yr now and added 2 brothers that are 18mos and of a Serbian bloodline. They grew faster than any other Rottie I've ever owned. One of the brothers ended up around 5-6mos old and not being able to get up and walk. Always falling down and not getting around at all. Was devistated by what was going on as my dogs are my kids. He was diagnosed as having "Pano". He's now growing out of it finally as the vet said he would, thank goodness!! Before this I've never heard of pano and was told they do not know alot about it. My question is, have you guys ever dealt with this or know of anybody else having this issue and why isn't this openly discussed more??

@@TheRottyRanch I think that might be a great subject to cover. If somebody else had gotten our Zook, they might have returned him to the breeder or even had him put down and missed out on alot of gentle giant loving and laughs for something he'll eventually outgrow. It scared the heck out of us and was breaking our hearts before we recieved any info on his diagnosis. He comes from a very wonderful and established breeder who loves all her babies even after leaving her care. He was the only one out of that litter who had it. Bless his heart he's only 18mos and is 127 lbs. We're trying to get his weight down but he's not all that active due to him having that mess since he was a baby. He thinks he's human! Lol

I got a rottie pup well under weight we fed her little and often but she's not a big eater at all I put 1 cup moring dry down and she eats a tiny bit I have even given her 30 mins and removed and try again later but same thing she is a pick eater and I've been told to do meal times but she won't eat otherwise and I really don't want her to get to the point where she's loosing weight so 2 cup dry left down normally she finishes it about 3 pm and I do her dinner at 7 pm she eats half that but because its wet food I can't leave down ..is this OK my old german shep x husky was the same a very slow eater so she used to have dry down all day and meat in eve
