One of the best paint jobs ever! gradients rule
Gotta love how the design prioritizes style over function and putting something as trivial as headlights takes a backseat leaving you with fog lamp type lights alone, the shark skin paint is awesome👍
Saw this car this morning on an episode of Route 66 (10/1961)...
Oh wow lord. This my favourite Corvette of all time. With the (aluminium glass) top on its even nicer!! makes my heart skip 2 beats
A beautiful work of art
I love how the horn sounds just like the mating call of great white shark.
This car is all kinds of fine! 🥰😍 Wow.
This should of been of a production model!!
this was my favorite car when I was a kid. never got a chance to see one as it was a concept car. I read they only made these for an oil sheik in the 60s
@poindextertunes no. They made one for Larry Shinoda the Chevy exec.
Now that's a car
horn at 2:00
Love the car. Look at the headlights! They hide the way they hide when a shark attacks!
this car is all about the pipes,,.
Cooler than anything modern
Super!
Ich liebe die Mako Shark Cars.
Gruß Blue Mako Shark Pilot Tino
this sound is historic
Dude... between Firebird jet cars and a Maco Shark, you've earned my sub!
Has been a while since a vid, nice to see another one!
That countach though
Great !!! 👍🏼😎👍🏼
I usually don't go for ragtops but they really made this one look organic in the design.
Tha'ts why the aluminium glass top was the way to go.
These are works of art. How much do they sell for now?
I don't think these would ever sell because they are one of a kind concept cars. But if they did, I bet it would be in the millions.
is that a true zl-1 engine???? i think there are only about three of those in existence!!
Bro, you are amazing. Please tell me you found the Mako Shark II and got some footage. It's my all time favorite concept :)
Thank you, my friend! The Mako Shark II is now called the Manta Ray, and that is the next upcoming video. :-)
I thought the Manta Ray and the Mako Shark II were two different vehicles? Am I mistaken? I look forward to seeing it! :)
And all the Jag could see were my six tail lights...
What are the flip up panels on the trunk? Turn signals?
You know what's funny, I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out! I'll send a message to the driver and ask him. I know the Corvette Manta Ray has panels that flip up as well, but they both flip up at the same time and they are mirrors for the turn signals.
Is there any way to get a Modern Corvette C6 6.2 L (378CI) to sound as badass as these Mako's??
Please tell there is a way without getting a 427 CI
If you put some long tube headers & cams in your LS2/LS3 Corvette it will sound and idle similar, Chevy hasn't changed their motor design that much since then....the sound here varies mostly due to the side pipes and their shorter overall lenght.
When I went to Corvette Doctors with my Camaro for exhaust install I heard a few C3s they had there testing, they also sounded very similar to this one with just the 5.7l or 350ci, headers and wider aftermarket side exhausts.
Exhaust sounds like crap
not a car guy huh? 😂
@@poindextertunes very much a car guy. Those side pipes sound like they're blown out or packed up
