Bruce Wayne is our foster dog. Our neighbor found this lab wandering our community two months ago and reached out for help. We brought him in, got him neutered and up to date on shots. We’ve leash trained him and are taking him to obedience training. Due to hurricane helene, we had to evacuate our flooding rental and moved with all of our animals to our farmhouse up the road. We did our best to put up temporary fences fast, but Bruce has been escaping since they are not very secure. We have a lot of work to do on this property, including building a proper dog run for fosters. A few days ago, a gal who lives a few hours away reached out to me seeing if she could help at all with our dogs. She has two rescue labs and frequently fosters. I shared Bruce’s story with her and asked whether she’d be interested in either becoming his mama or helping him find his forever home. Without hesitation, she said absolutely and is coming to meet him on Friday. I wanted to be the one to place Bruce in his permanent home. But we did not anticipate this hurricane or what it would do to our plans. I want to keep Bruce safe and secure on our property, but our part of the world was so hard hit, there’s no way we’ll be in a position to build a secure run anytime soon. We still aren’t getting big deliveries here, we have no cell service or WiFi at our house. Everything is at a standstill. This gal coming to take Bruce is truly a godsend. I spoke with her for a long time and can see how much she loves dogs. Moreover, she has experience with labs, which is certainly its own craft. I’ll keep you guys posted on Bruce Wayne’s journey and will be staying in touch with his foster / potential adopter!!! p.s. this is footage from Bruce’s second obedience class. He’s progressed so well. We managed three classes total before the hurricane ripped through Asheville. The center is ok, but still doesn’t have power. Hoping the school gets back on its feet soon ❤️
Bruce will find a loving forever home, thanks to you and your family's dedication 🙏 ❤ Prayers he can be adopted soon or at least be somewhere safe, where he cannot escape and become a danger to himself or livestock. 🎉 Great job with Bruce. It's obvious he's a joy, big lovebug.
Thanks for the update on Bruce. You are doing all you can with the resources you have. Bruce has improved alot with the obedience training. I hope it works out with the lady this weekend. ❤ 🐕
You have done right by him where many would not have taken him on as a foster. Thank you! I am wishing the best for this wonderful woman that is also stepping up. I hope all works out for Bruce.
I love Bruce Wayne and Scarlett Your such a wonderful person helping animals. Also those cute girls are so good with animals. They take after their sweet mom.❤❤❤❤😊
Ali you can only do what you can with what you have . You're a Wonderful person doing something for everyone and preserving animal heritages. Good Luck thru the weekend 😊🎉
Im not going to lie, my heart dropped when it said he was escaping. With the music it made me think something terrible had happened to him. I'm SO happy that the girl reached out and hope it's a good fit!! 💜🐾💜
It's OK to acknowledge that what an animal needs is different from what you can provide at the time. It's not a failure on your part, it's just life. Rehoming he sounds like a good decision, made with his best interests in mind. You are to be commended for getting him this far. The love is palpable.
I can’t believe people aren’t begging you for him. I have a rescue pit bull a rescue golden retriever and a pure bread retriever. Honestly the pittie is the best but they are all so wonderful
But you didn’t mind leaving the other 2 dogs, 2 cats (1 missing and likely dead) on your property that flooded, followed with all of your chickens, ducks and their ducklings, and goats? You do NOT need more animals lady. You left your dogs to die in the flood! And when they survived you said you’re glad they made it? MORBID
I’m sorry it was 4 DOGS YOU LEFT TO DROWN ON YOUR PROPERTY DURING THE FLOOD! REHOME THEM TO SOMEONE WHO MIGHT THINK THEIR LIVES ARE VALUABLE ENOUGH TO EVACUATE DURING A FLOOD
@@holeighharris01Can you all stop judging people who are in situations like this? I wonder if you did any better. This kind of flood was very unexpected in this area. It's not that they are in Florida, on the coast and expecting storm surge any day.
@@holeighharris01 You need to quit harassing her. You, clearly, haven't spent a single day on a farm nor have you ever had to take care of livestock. Have you ever been in a hurricane? Those weren't indoor cats and dogs, you silly, silly goose. Livestock dogs protect livestock; they did their role. The indoor dogs were brought with her. You're looking extremely stupid; I suggest you stop spamming her channel with your uneducated vitriol.

Yes me too. I thought she would tell us he's missing, sick or dead. I'm so happy it actually is a good story ❤😊
If that lady is a good match with Bruce, I hope she decides to go on UA-cam and update on Bruce. He is so sweet!

He's doing incredibly well isn't he
Sounds like a perfect answer appeared. The other labs will get him trained up faster than even Granddad could.
❤❤❤❤
I am wondering if he has been traumatized by the hurricane, and this could be one of the reasons he is escaping so much.
No he just doesn’t respect fences. And loves to eat! So he’d escape and start eating all the chicken food lol
💗🐾💗
Do you know if the girl who offered to help Bruce has a social media page where we can get updates on him?
One amazing person helping another amazing person & of course Bruce 👍😇🥰🥲❤🐶!!!!!!
Oh thank goodness! With the slightly sombre music I thought you were going to tell us he'd been hit by a car or something!
You don't have that beautiful family for nothing. Someone is looking out for you guys. This is just more proof.✌️✌️

He is so loving that he can't sit still.
