  • Saenchai Vs Buakaw. The fight of the century finally happened! In an exclusive unseen behind the scenes footage of before, during and after this historic bout. From Saenchai, to the aftermath where Saenchai finds himself in hospital with a suspected broken hand. Only to be met by his good friend and adversary just hours previous, Buakaw. After their first encounter it was clear there was no bad blood as the two Muay Thai legends joked and teased one another as they always have. Nothing had changed and a strong sense of respect and admiration between the two was evident. This is true Muay Thai, and these two are the face of the sport for a reason. What a day, what a historic event. What did you think of the fight? Let us know in the comments below!

Buakaw was bigger, taller, more aggressive (threw like almost twice the volume saenchai did) and, surprisingly, also the faster and sharper one of the two. I thought Saenchai would dance and run circles around him, instead he was pinned down the whole time. Maybe his strategy to "show Buakaw his power" was wrong, cuz Buakaw was definitely much more powerful.

They are both Kru muay (master level). Buakaw is bigger and still in better physical condition so he had to hold back a little in the fight.
PS.They use Thai Isan language when they talk to each other. In Thailand when people from North-east region use Isan language talk that means they think they were family from the same region.

saenchai said at the end of the fight, buakaw lost more than 10KG to fight him so they were of similar weight that night and both are 40+ so there are no age advantage here…he lost fair and square..buakaw did hold back a little though in the 4th round..to say they were not giving their best is disrespectful to the art, thats what they said…they are both legends anyway

This type of fight for me was where I wanted both fighters to Win... So it was hard for me to watch either fighters lose 😲 Love seeing the fact that after the match they could both still be in the same room together with no hard feelings against one another...True friendship right there 🤜🏼🤛🏽 Much Respect to them both 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This match would have looked so much different if they didn't actually respect each other. Wow

That was a light controlled sparring between the two and I liked it. I was afraid they might go 100% in there which would've sucked.

    • @jakemcnally4868

I agree. 100% power would have likely ended in a tko. A finish from either would have sucked. My favorite fighters of all time in the same ring. They displayed their skills beautifully and hopefully made a stack of money for their families. Legends.

Buakaw just too strong, even without 100%. Maybe in the future in a video game. We can play as them both and go 100% 🤷 Like Tekken or Street Fighter
