Miriam IS wonderful, having read her first book and most of the way through her second, I can vouch for the fact that she’s a funny, wise and excellent raconteur. And this video was a very enjoyable addition to all of her efforts at sharing her life.

I'm glad for Miriam and the rest of us to read so many comments of appreciation for Miriam's direct straightfoward approach to life. I am in complete agreement with most everything Miriam says during this interview.
I also rather like (or is it I appreciate?) the interviewers style. Both these women strike me as genuine, albeit very different from one another.
For years, my litmus test for any sort of interaction with another has been, 'How do I feel about myself as I walk away from them?' If I am thinking optimistically and feeling good about myself and life then that's good!
I truly do feel good as I've listened to Miriam and enjoy laughing.

What an adorable woman Miriam is. Her ideas and thoughts mirror my own except that I'm far more vehement than she is, and acting is her talent while mine are cooking and sculpture. She is the person she is unapologetically and joyously and that's refreshing in a world of poses and pretending. Besides, she's my age and we old folks are so often overlooked and it's absolutely impossible to overlook Miriam Margolyes.

Such a refreshing woman.
Miriam darling, most of us live to please ourselves. Some may do more or less for others, but that doesn't mean there is no reward for ourselves. We are all different with unique interests and capacities, so no two lives look the same. The exception might be devoted parents who make sacrifices for their children, or selfless care givers who make sacrifices for their loved ones, but what other choice does a decent person have in those situations? And yet, even then there are rewards to the one putting others first. Either way, those are usually chapters of life, not the whole story.
Fearing death is understandable, but having witnessed it firsthand, on three separate occasions, has made me less fearful of the majestic moment. Instead I fear living an unfulfilled life while I still can, to the best of my ability.
I agree that knowing the past and our own family and community history helps to give us a sense of unity and perspective.
If more people could boil their faith down to good and evil as a definition for morality, and stop nitpicking over housekeeping items of religion, I think the world would be a better place.

I love this woman so much. I wish she would adopt me haha she’s a fantastic female idol and I’d take her guidance as someone who has never had any female input in a positive way. I feel I’d get along with her so much. She’s hilarious and the reason I started watching “call the midwife” which I’ve loved so much.
Women need to be more comfortable with themselves like she is! 😂 we worry about so much and miss out on fun.

When I look at her, all I can see is her beating the hell out of Arnie Schwartzenegger in the movie End of Days!!! She anihilated him!!! I bet there were some funny bloopers during that scene!!

I totally love Miriam, I was brought up by a soldier and spent my first 18 years on a military base. I can't stand the woke, pc brigade and sadly they are ruining the humour of the British. How wonderful if she was the PM. A breath of fresh air and hilarious. I would absolutely love to meet her, I used to flash mine all the time. Mostly at Brands Hatch and Le Mans but not exclusively
What is the second book about?
It's lots more stories from Miriam's life and some life lessons. (So basically lots more laughs!)

I remember Stephen Fry saying Oh Miriam to her after a story she once told in an interview. Miriam often goes on about her farting but they are very subtle and non intrusive I do hate it though when the perpetrators of one lift themselves to let it out. Keep it to yourself.
