    Was this just preventive maintenance or are you starting the prep for the super charger? Also have you done the timing belt recently, might be something to change as well before the super charger. T belt video would get a lot of views as the most popular one I've seen was for a LS430 3uz haven't seen a decent one on UA-cam for the 2nd GS V8s 1uz/3uz yet.
    Awesome work as usual, looking forward to more videos.

      My temp gauge and data logging was showing an issue, so I changed it. T-belt was done 40K miles ago unfortunately. Yes, planning to supercharge it soon. In the planning phase for that. 😎

    Did you HAVE to remove the serpentine belt or did you just not want it to get wet from coolant?

    Are they the same thermostat on a gs430?

    Great vid! Quick questions and probably obvious but you drained 2 quarts so did you add 2 quarts? What about the small amount that drained from when removing thermostat, did you compensate for that? Also, I'm not sure how long current fluid has been in my gs400..If I were to drain let's say a gallon or even 2 when changing my thermostat and add a gallon or 2, would you think that would be ok without doing a full flush? Thanks, love the channel!!😎

      Correct on all accounts. If you’re not sure about age of the coolant, a flush would be a good idea. Thanks for watching! 👍

    Dude, are you getting any kind of compensation from recommending these specific products? If not, you definitely should figure out how to because I'm about to purchase the Veepeak Wifi OBD II Scanner you recommended

      Ha ha, no, not usually. Occasionally there are companies that want me to try stuff out for a discount, but almost everything is done via affiliate links now and I just don’t want to mess with that again. I tried it before but I got nothing. Maybe I should try it again…

      @@ForwardMomentum I don't know how much you'd make but anything is nice. I'm learning a lot from your videos and have followed a few for my own GS. Looks like a lot of others use your videos for help too

      Should I use a oem cooling thermostat or aftermarket would be fine ?

    • @ForwardMomentum
      @ForwardMomentum  Рік тому +1

      OEM is preferable on a lower-dollar item like a T-stat.

    I just replaced my t stat. Whoever own my GS400 had removed the t stat completely, so it took forever to warm up. Huge red flag!! I may be supercharging mine as well, I'll use your vids as a guide if you beat me to it. 🤙

      Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. When I talk too much I get complaints that I should add music. So, I can’t win. LOL
