Hey, I touched on this in one of my videos too, and I think the difference that everyone needs to realize is that you can ONLY fertilize grass you've planted with a seeder. The wild grass (that's there when you start the map) can not be fertilized because the game doesn't consider that a "crop". Hope this helps clear up any confusion in the comments! Great video and keep up the good work!
Yes, absolutely. That's how I run any map I play. If you are going to use a free grass area, I would highly recommend plowing it under and seeding grass into in order to get the added fertilizer benefits.
(6:23) "It is a benefit and will increase your yield." I wanted to note these two things aren't necessarily synonymous. It does indeed increase yield, but is it really a benefit? Will you need that extra grass over the grow cycle? No way. So, is it worth adding run time to the tractors and extra fertilizer cost to run the field multiple times for grass you don't need?
Are you talking about to full fertilize the field or what? Every method of fertilizing in FS17 is treated the same way by the game, it just uses different resources. It was a while ago so I'm not certain on what I did. Probably just ran the fertilizer spreader for the sake of it being easy to do quickly.
The only difference between single and 3 stages is the amount of fertilizing you have to do. Crops should yield the same amount when fully fertilized (dark blue).
I have plowing turned on and I have yet to run into it needing to be plowed. As far as I can tell that function of the game is directly related to the combine harvesters.
That comes out to about 31%, which is about what the wikia says it would. I tested with soy beans and the sprayer vehicle, and sprayed and unsprayed came out to pretty much the same. Guess maybe I fucked it up in some way.
once again I thank you ... now I need to figure out why my grass isn't blue, even tho' a worker did fertilise it, and why it's not turning orange. Maybe I'll plow it all under and start again. :)

That's a great tip, too! Thanks!
Thanks I was curious about this. The fast forwarding was extremely hard on the eyes though.
Inquiring minds wanted to know for sure, so TYVM m8!
Thanks for the video! Exactly the question that was on my mind
Would manure or slurry be any better?

If you want a big back up stock of grass, why not
I take it you only do crops. Animals perticularly sheep with seasons active use quite abit of hay
This really helps thanks
So you only used a spreader on the grass or what all did you do sir? Thanks!

Hey quick question does changing the states to one vs 3 fertilizer states make a diffrence if there both dark blue when havesting

Do you know if you need to plow your grass fields every once in while if you have plowing turned on in the settings?
I have plowing turned on and I have yet to run into it needing to be plowed. As far as I can tell that function of the game is directly related to the combine harvesters.
Is this the same in fs 15

grass doesnt turn the darkest orange as far as i know... it just does the first 2 harvest colors.
