You should do a video on best trucks to use as fuel/repair trucks. Usually trucks just become too top heavy with those frame add ons but a few trucks can get away with it (Voron grad, GMC 9500)

That's really cool, not been a great time recently for a lot of people! I still use the ANK, one day it will get a video. One filled with tipping over.
The voron grad is the most fuel efficient and best al lrounder, the voron AE is steering slow is very fuel consumption heavy and does well in speed challenges but can do everything the voron grad can, the Voron D is the ultimate offroader being able to have the most towing capacity, has a lot of torque and fewer gears and is always happy to tip over more then the other ones
I have my fave channels for modern warfare. Now this is the ONLY channel for Snowrunner/driving games. Just a brilliant blend of everything. Yep xander, ' this (man) is on fireeee'
I haven't unlocked the Tayga yet, but this truck became my workhorse even without the raised suspension. With AWD and Diff Lock on all the time there's far less gear shifting required, just foot to the floor and off we go. It has a low cab so a nice view in 3rd person, and the crane is far less obtrusive than the yellow thing I had on the Fleetstar that I used throughout Michigan. The front bumper clearance is good so it doesn't get hung up. Being low profile it also goes under some tree branches that can get hung up on taller trucks. The only drawback I've found is that you can't attach a trailer if you have the crane (or spare wheel) installed). I agree that the spare wheel is unnecessary.
Yeah it pushes the bed back and removed the hitch, which is annoying but actually relatively few tricks can do this. Think it's five or six, would have to check!
tayga pros: bigger fuel tank voron ae pros: more ground clearance, longer frame (space for small crane + 2 slot cargo) i take the voron ae, tayga is usefull only for seismic module compatibility
Great video! I'm considering using this truck in place of my Azov 64131. The 64131 is really good, and its speed doesn't really bother me, but this truck seems like a worthy competitor! Thanks for the tips!
A note about auto center and lock to lock: I've noticed on some trucks that the update caused lock to lock so slow down dramatically, but if you allow auto center to work FOR you, you can square turn like running a slalom and actually turn lock to lock faster. Not realistic by any means but it exploits the bug for faster steering response.

I have one of these stock and I use it for just about everything. So much so that I am constantly trying to find something to replace it for at least SOMETHING. Only real downsides is a) lack of ability to pull a trailer while outfitted with a crane and a bed and b) that terrible turn response and radius. But that second part is just the trade-off that comes with all-time AWD and locked diffs.
Yeah I should have mentioned the crane and trailer thing, it was in my notes. There are relatively few trucks that can do it all, as I'll talk about in future videos. Yes, AWD and diff-lock certainly ruins the tuning circle but it's manageable.

I think a toggle is likely. The Tayga wasn't massively different anyway because it always had quite fast steering. Other trucks, however, were a nightmare...
Did they really "change to" auto-center? Auto-center has been with us all the time, but just very slow, or am I completely wrong? I haven't dug deep into the XML files, but since there are mods for it it must be an adjustable thing inside the files for those who want to tweak things accurately? Edit: maybe I'm just thinking of how the steering center due to friction against the surface, but I remember it as centering always being there
Perhaps it was a little present in some trucks? I remember the back and fourth trying to keep vehicle straight before the patch so definitely a thing. The Caterpillar 745C was a prime example.
@@ATribeCalledCars yeah, the most annoying thing is the non linear steering feel. It starts by turning a little then suddenly full lock😁. I've been playing on and off since the release and I'm getting used to it (with an occasional tree crash of course🤔)

Responsiveness, turning speed and return to center speed (vehicle need to be in motion for return to work, so I guess it simulates caster angle) Someone should make a UI for those and other extra settings, it's kinda PITA to change the file, start the game just to realise your settings made it worse, close the game and edit again😅
It is a fun truck. Sadly I finished the rift before getting. Finished the rest of the game about 3 weeks after release. Great vids. Any talk of phase 1 content?? Or date...???.. I'm expecting mid september...
How do I get crane AND flatbed on the AE, is there any trick or something? hm, is the spare wheel to remove manually?? I always use the Voron D, if I need both and permanent AWD / Difflock . This configuration (crane + flat bed) is no problem at the Paystar, Fleetstar etc, but I can't configure it on the Voron AE. :-(
It should just work without the spare wheel so remove it manually in case (and sell for some extra money). If not, maybe it was adjusted in later updates. Quite an old video now.

Thanks! For sheer speed, scouting, flatbed or sidebed work, highrange. If you have more weight behind and have difficult terrain to cross I'd go with offroad. It's best to try both to get a feel for it.
Not for hauling the big stuff, but it's much faster and versatile. Probably better to try the Grad for bigger deliveries although I've not done a proper test yet. Coming soon!
I can’t restart jobs. Which sucks on ones which cargo disappears and I cannot complete them. Also I’ve lost a couple trucks. They just vanished. Two of them. One was the tayga 🤬 although that one reappeared when I bought a replacement. Luckily I could sell the replacement and get my moneys back
A Tribe Called Cars no it doesn’t work that way. Luckily I’ve only had to try on the side jobs not the contract missions. Although I probably can’t restart those either.
I’ve managed to find a solution! Well not me. My good friend figured it out. But... seems I was having issues in coop only. I tried going offline and driving to the job location and I was able to restart it.. so yay to that 😎😁
As it's probably part of an exclusivity deal with Epic Games I'd say it could happen in future if there is a time clause. Although it could, in theory, be an indefinite thing.
I'm still deciding, but I do actually use the Tayga for most jobs, the Cat 745C for rescues / remote refuelling and the DAN for crane work. When I've tested everything properly I'd like to do a video on this!
Maybe I'm just super late and missed something, but can't you just turn off/on the wheel cantering in the options? (On controller anyway) If you use the "steering wheel" setting but with a controller it'll behave like...well, every other game with a car
I wouldn't call it a "tayga killer" but rather a "tayga back up" , let's say, for example, that you (somehow) flip over your tayga, you can get this truck there and flip it back on its feet.
@@ImBosmann The voron grad is better i think is the 2nd most stable truck in the game, it has the same capacity as the tayga for fuel and it is more fuel efficient then the tayga, and still does everything the tayga can do minus that stupid cargo container test, which honestly people should stop using that to compare how good a truck is, the voron grad will still get you places quite fast and fuel efficient, its how i crossed all the regions in 1 map without refueling and got an achievement for it as well
I almost came to the exact same conclusion yesterday myself. But overall I’d rather run the Azov, Tayga, or white western star. They’re just better in one way or another. 🤷♂️
Tayga was overhyped, but not as overhyped as the ANK. But we want to collect all the trucks and stubbornly drive the ones nobody talks about. And the steering, indeed a toggle switch would be nice for (against) auto centering.
Definitely not overhyped, it's so good off road I used it as a scout. ANK is definitely less useful, but fun. I'm working my way through every truck and I still find I use the same set of trucks although it seems as if there were some balance changes in the last patch.
Both the Voron Grad and the Voron D are Tayga killers. Voron grad for hauling shit on the flatbed/sideboard bed, Voron D for hauling huge loads on trailers, Tayga for the seismic vibrator module and other oddball jobs because it cant have a crane and bed at the same time, and the Voron AE for the scrapyard because it has a weak fuel tank and slow steering. Being the fastest Voron means nothing when you gotta stop for turns or end up on your side in a ditch because you couldn't get the front wheels pointed the right direction in time.
Actually, Tayga can't have crane and flatbed together, even without attaching trailer, whereas this Voron can. So there is no point in arguing about attaching trailer. In fact, I think, only GMC can have all these addons and attachments together simultaneously.
i was just playing snowrunner for ps4 and what do you think happened .???..the game shut down and i had to reload it looks the patch update again did not do jack shit and the patch made it worse .its a great game if only they would fix this problem .
I never played the rift and I managed to get a raised suspension for it... I think there might be another place to get it! or am I confusing it with the other voron?
I'm going to investigate. It seems a little slower but I will need to look at my footage before and after. I hope not, it wasn't that much faster and other trucks were better in other areas.
@@ATribeCalledCars it's old as the mother Earth) having it's roots back in 60s and USSR military service. The Tayga's real prototype is much newer, it's from 90s or so.
I had somebody ask about this before. It could happen, although I will say that if a truck is good in mud and stable it has a good chance in Russia. Lots of tippy surfaces and slippery conditions! Tayga is hard to beat here.
Voron is by far the better truck. The only thing tayga gets better its is tank and slightly better tyres. Even so, I never ran out of fuel in voron and never got stuck too, so probably those tayga pros aren't worth it.
I agree, after update, second best truck, first is still the azov 64131, game is getting better and better with every update, we need driver mods for different drivers and why not passengers

The tayga King has been my favourite and go to truck for any mission so far but going to give the voron a try now.
I think you'll like it, I still prefer the Tayga but the Voron-AE is hard to fault once used to the slower steering.
First thing I did when I had the money on my PC playthrough was go to Russia and buy one, great truck!

There should be a "cruise control" button so I could steer and still have one hand available for drinking and smoking :) Love the game anyways.
Haha proper trucker. You can sort of steer and accelerate with one hand on Xbox but it's not the easiest.

It's an option in the menu. You can have the old or new system.

I think that's probably about right. Still no confirmed date from the developer. I'll make a video announcement about it as soon as there is one.

I think the lights lights lights comment means they should add load lamps on back of the cab protector or add reverse lights.
That would be cool! I think there are reversing lights on the Cat 745C and one other if I recall correctly. But it's rare.
My two biggest complaints with the voron trucks is that they're very easy to roll, and they burn through their fuel faster than almost any other truck

@@ImBosmann The voron grad is better i think is the 2nd most stable truck in the game, it has the same capacity as the tayga for fuel and it is more fuel efficient then the tayga, and still does everything the tayga can do minus that stupid cargo container test, which honestly people should stop using that to compare how good a truck is, the voron grad will still get you places quite fast and fuel efficient, its how i crossed all the regions in 1 map without refueling and got an achievement for it as well
I almost came to the exact same conclusion yesterday myself. But overall I’d rather run the Azov, Tayga, or white western star. They’re just better in one way or another. 🤷♂️

Tayga was overhyped, but not as overhyped as the ANK. But we want to collect all the trucks and stubbornly drive the ones nobody talks about. And the steering, indeed a toggle switch would be nice for (against) auto centering.
Definitely not overhyped, it's so good off road I used it as a scout. ANK is definitely less useful, but fun. I'm working my way through every truck and I still find I use the same set of trucks although it seems as if there were some balance changes in the last patch.

Both the Voron Grad and the Voron D are Tayga killers.
Voron grad for hauling shit on the flatbed/sideboard bed, Voron D for hauling huge loads on trailers, Tayga for the seismic vibrator module and other oddball jobs because it cant have a crane and bed at the same time, and the Voron AE for the scrapyard because it has a weak fuel tank and slow steering. Being the fastest Voron means nothing when you gotta stop for turns or end up on your side in a ditch because you couldn't get the front wheels pointed the right direction in time.
Good truck but unlike tayga, she cant attach a trailer when you have a crane and flatbed as add on.
Actually, Tayga can't have crane and flatbed together, even without attaching trailer, whereas this Voron can. So there is no point in arguing about attaching trailer. In fact, I think, only GMC can have all these addons and attachments together simultaneously.

i was just playing snowrunner for ps4 and what do you think happened .???..the game shut down and i had to reload it looks the patch update again did not do jack shit and the patch made it worse .its a great game if only they would fix this problem .
Sorry to hear that, hope the developers are working on a fix. It's sad when people pay money for a product and it's too broken to enjoy.
I never played the rift and I managed to get a raised suspension for it... I think there might be another place to get it! or am I confusing it with the other voron?
Probably another truck, it didn't exist for the Voron AE before.

yes and I feel the APC was nerfed too.
I'm going to investigate. It seems a little slower but I will need to look at my footage before and after. I hope not, it wasn't that much faster and other trucks were better in other areas.

Yeah but I think the AE is still newer than some of the Russian metal. Could be wrong though!
@@ATribeCalledCars it's old as the mother Earth) having it's roots back in 60s and USSR military service. The Tayga's real prototype is much newer, it's from 90s or so.

I had somebody ask about this before. It could happen, although I will say that if a truck is good in mud and stable it has a good chance in Russia. Lots of tippy surfaces and slippery conditions! Tayga is hard to beat here.
Voron is by far the better truck. The only thing tayga gets better its is tank and slightly better tyres. Even so, I never ran out of fuel in voron and never got stuck too, so probably those tayga pros aren't worth it.
I do love the Voron AE, my favourite of the Voron family.

I agree, after update, second best truck, first is still the azov 64131, game is getting better and better with every update, we need driver mods for different drivers and why not passengers

I just don’t like how slow the steering is in this truck. Only reason I don’t use it. Speed is useless if you can’t turn correctly
Agreed, the slow steerers can be a handful. It becomes more of an issue the faster the truck can go!

The AE and the WWS are my go to trucks, always get the job done and never gave me any trouble. Never liked the Tayga, too tippy and boring to use.
