Love the Trezor products... they are especially useful for those who do most of their crypto asset management on a desktop or laptop, as opposed to a smartphone. Thanks for all the great info and demonstrations. 😃
I mostly use my iPad. For it I use a bitfi wallet and soon will have a safePal wallet. I have a ledger and trezor for my laptop however iPad Pro is what I prefer using.
Hi @CryptoDad, quick question for you. I just got my Trezor Safe 5. I already have existing Rabby wallets that i use for entering Liquidity Pools as well as to trade and swap. Is there a way to use the Trezor hardware device to sign for transactions for those wallets? I know in your video you mentioned it several times that the Trezor hardware device was only being used to secure the Trezor wallet but not the others. Thanks…
Yes, this is a fairly common question. There's no way to add a hardware device to an existing rabby account. If you wish to use your Trezor to manage those accounts, you'll need to set up the separate Trezor account. And then do discrete transfers from the other rabby accounts to the new Trezor account. Of course, in your case, you're going to need to withdraw from the liquidity pools first before you make the transfer. Although I know that there are some liquidity tokens that can be moved directly.
Hey Crypto Dad, am I safe using my Ledger on my Metamask Wallet? I don't connect my hardware wallet to websites & Defi like Raydium swap/Uniswap and the like. I just connect my default account #1 provided.. Then I just move the coins from that account to my Ledger that on Metamask/Phantom... Is that a safe practice that's safe from phishing and other hacks to my hardware device? Thanks for the videos
Using a ledger device to secure your Metamask wallet is best practice. There are a lot of coins that you can manage in metamask that you cannot in ledger live. However, if you were doing anything more risky within Metamask, like trading, staking, minting, or claiming air drops, then it would make sense to have two ledgers. One for long term storage and the other for these more risky activities.
Thanks for the video, a question: The Trezor never show the complete words after wallet creted like others like Trust Wallet? The only thing we could do is to check the backup?
Yeah, I think that's part of the security model. If you go into the settings in Trezor Suite and then go to the "device" tab, you will find a "Check Backup" that will allow you to verify your seed phrase.
