Thoroughly enjoyed part 1 , I’ve made a cuppa and now going to watch it again . Looking forward to part 2 . Love these gentle trips with plenty to see . Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it. I think I'll be able to get the next part done for next Sunday, but don't hold me to it. It took more than 5 hours to edit this one. 🙄
Your videos really compliment Nick's geology lectures. I heard of the Snake River in his Ice Age Floods lecture, and now I get to see the river and it's pathway. Thanks. I guess the strata layers in the rocks represent different levels the river has been in the past.
I've lived in Meridian Idaho for the last 20 years. This is in my 'back yard' sort of to speak yet I found this absolutely amazed to watch. Thank you for sharing it.
I do enjoy going on these little helicopter rides with you. I use to live in eastern WA and southern Idaho ( U.S. Air Force stationed at Fairchild AFB by Spokane and Mountain Home AFB 45 min east of Boise ID ) I drove around WA a lot ( mostly to Seattle ) but i do remember driving over the bridge of the Columbia river which separates Oregon from WA. its close to the tri city area. brings back memories.
As Nick Zentner would say this is the German Chocolate cake. It is on both sides of the river and about 3 million years old above and actually below (what you can see) is 5 million years old . Most think this is what the scablands would have looked like before huge amounts of flood waters covered the land starting 18,000 years ago . The Snake River itself had it's own flooding events when it was flooded several times by the emptying of Lake Bonneville in a succession of floods starting 14,500 years ago.
I told you the video would look better than you expected. lol My girlfriend is originally from Lewiston and she does a lot of camping along the Snake River so she was telling me all about the area and roads and some of those camping areas along the river and which one was her favorite to go to. Great footage and can’t wait for the next one Maria. (KMWH)
Thanks for sharing your adventures. That looks like my buddy's place and his helicopter. Blake is a great guy. Lots of knowledge. Fly safe and looking forward to the other videos.
After driving all the way there from Wenatchee and dealing with the humidity, I just wanted to get home! But maybe I’ll do a quick spin around the area when I return the helicopter in August.
Ah, I see what you mean. I don't know what she was doing. I guess she wanted to share the flight with her boyfriend. I sent her a link to this video, though. It's amazing how many people hold their camera in portrait orientation to make long videos. Portrait is required for UA-cam Shorts and it might be required for TikTok, but it's a pretty crappy way to shoot video to be watched on a big screen.

I only flew in a helicopter once and that was over the Grand Canyon. It was great!
I enjoy watching your videos and wish I could ride along.
Thanks

Thanks for watching!
Very enjoyable to see some Lewis and Clark territory from the air - thank you!

Great video... can't wait for the next one!
Love these videos 🚁 . I miss Maria's content. I hope she gets back to making more soon.
Just love going for flights, especially down the canyons..so much to see. I love flying Robinsons. Flying vicariously through you for now.
Awesome
thank you
You're welcome

I enjoy the scenery. Looking forward to the next part.
It would have been fun to have seen a fly over of Lewiston. I grew up there. But it's still a fun video.. Thanks.

Elise seemed interested in the Terrain on the right!
Great video! Surprised in this day & age, fluorescent markers aren't manditory, especially in popular canyon areas!?
Nice video Marie how does the cherry crop look this year hope it's gonna be a good one?
Not too good this year. I'm down about 150 acres. But still enough for my crew of four pilots. And if it keeps raining, we should do a lot of flying.
Loved watching your video as always. One remark, please blur the phone of your friend at the beginning of the video.
Too late. I blurred it twice later but missed the first one. 🙄 I don't think I can blur it at this point.
Do you have to close the doors.....can you keep them open?
The passenger could have made a much better video (like this one), if she had held her phone properly.
The passenger does not make videos. 🤷🏻♀️
@@FlyingMAir The passenger (left seat), can clearly be seen making video of the flight on her phone.

Wow, did a rich uncle die and leave you some $$$$$? How can you afford the fuel??!
I fly for a living.
