    I used to live just down the road and remember spending pratically the whole of the summer holidays there. My Gran used to run the gift shop right next to the Kings Hall. I was always able to get in for free and get on most of the rides for free too. I also had a job selling balloons outside my Grans shop....Spent a lot of happy times there as a kid..magical !

      I have no idea as to how old you are. Did you ride The Bobs? If so what was it like? I was too young, I just remember that it looked like spaghetti. I yearned to ride it before my chance was forever lost.

      Happy the Aces have got a new home.Sad to see animals exploited like that for our amusement.

      @@graemeselkirk Yes, my nostalgia was/is always about the amusement park side rather than the cruel cages. True story though: when me and my little bro were single digit kids we went into the reptile house. My brother was rubbing the banister in front of a cobra which then reared its hood and struck at us. I've been terrified of snakes ever since.
