Day 1 of Algoa National Rally 2024 - Event After Movie - 5 & 6 July 2024

We had another great rallying event last weekend, at the Algoa National Rally, hosted from Mentorskraal, in Jeffreys Bay, with stages extending deep into the Longmore Forest. A big thank you to MTO Forestry for allowing so many stages to take place in this iconic forest, which has hosted many great rallying events.
Our team had a great outing at this event, with multiple podium finishes in the various classes as well as overall positions.
Day 1 featured 6 stages, with the last three set against a quickly fading sun, allowing us to deploy one of our secret weapons, those incredible Hella spotlights.
Competitors were allowed to enter both the NRC and ARC championships, with certain requirements for the NRC entrants. Neels & Rikus felt they were up to the challenge and entered both championships for this event. Friday's stages featured Round 5 of the National Rally Championship and Round 3 of the Petrefuel Algoa Rally Championship.
NRC National Championship, Round 5 Overall Top 3 podium finishers:

Petrefuel ARC Championship, Round 3 Overall Top 3 podium finishers:
1st Owen Jones & Aden Bredenkamp
2nd Neels Vosloo & Rikus Fourie
3rd Nick Davidson & Ashley Bezuidenhout
As a team, we managed to clinch a few more positions in the following classes:
National NRC4 class - 1st place
National 2-Wheel Drive class - 1st place
Regional ARC4 class - 1st place
