    I'm a few months shy, but 45 is the new 35 😁 At least that's how I feel. Working full-time, college full-time, and 50/50 parenting. Yet I still find time to chase passions, wrestle on the indie scene monthly, writing books, and casual dating. Shoot, I've even been getting an itch to see if I could make one more run at making the US Team. At the end of the day, age is just a number. Keep up the great work, love the show.

    I think the biggest thing people forget about Wrestling Podcasts is they serve as the only analysis of Wrestling. Sports have multiple programmes and panels talking about last weeks games. Programmes like Game Of Thrones or Walking Dead or even reality shows have supplemental shows talking about what has happened last episode. These programmes drum up community and make things bigger than something that happens once a week.
    As a formerly lapsed wrestling fan I got back into Wrestling by listening to Prichard, Cornette, Austin and Eric. They add a different layer and perspective, and show it’s not just us fans who think something isn’t good enough. I think companies should be happy when podcasters choose to talk about them, because it’s better than everyone ignoring your programme.

Still wearing his own shirt understandable not wanting to lose money on his shirt sales. Would you carry on with that storyline or scrap it if Cena expressed that concern to you?

    For ratings they failed with on heart with a real accident. Maybe a murder scene because a woman with monoculars said she seen shadow that looks like someone pushed them. She doesn’t know she can only say something she didn’t see she said it like a murder. Where does CW succeeded with sting and not written him wrong and causing an accident on making rig hanging him right so he don’t fall or drop to death and he’s not dead to this day sting is still around it. It was just a freak accident. Freak accident that happened a accident that happened 15:42 15:44 I know competition between a two with the wrestler between on heart and sting succeeding at coming down where wasn’t excess loading his start I don’t know if I put it in there, so I’m repeating myself🏈🏈❤️❤️

    Very much alone in this I know but I don't give a flying fuck about "net positives" in wrestling. I dont care how many jobs a guy makes up for people or how many "feel good" moments he tries to make with Brody Lee's son, etc. I just want to see good wrestling/stories and I'm not really seeing any in AEW and very little in WWE. This era just can't compete with the days gone by in terms of bell to bell or long term storytelling and it's not even close. It's great there are more jobs, but those jobs aren't translating to a good on screen product, so why should I care?

    • @zeromagnum2811
      @zeromagnum2811 8 місяців тому

      WWE has good story telling. But it is not long term for the most part aside from the Bloodline. And that specifically is because of social media culture as this generation is highly impatient and get bored quickly and whine and complain after someone holds a title for longer than 3 months. When you have watched wrestling for 30 years you have seen everything and you think like a smart mark elitist that has seen it before and rate everything to the nostalgia you grew up on. And nothing in your mind will ever compete with that. I was just like that until i stopped thinking like a mark wrestling elitist wanting my ideal nostalgia days back and decided to enjoy WWE for what it has evolved into rather than just being a mad nerd that wanted the attitude era way of doing things back. Wrestling changed and AEW's lack of growth is a showing of that as it is a hybrid wannabe version of ECW with a little of WCW to it and nothing that made either what they were in their day. WWE books now to cater to the pop culture of now which is lower attention span for long term story telling. So they speed most of it up. but in some instances like the Bloodline, like Gunther, Codys stuff, if you pay attention to WWE for the past few years they are doing more in depth storylines that they have for years now. But the attitude era slash monday night war is dead and it is nostalgia and in the mind of those in that time it wont be equaled. But Todays WWE isnt bad its just not what we grew up on. But nothing else today is either. Not the NFL. Not the NBA, not even Nascar.

    • @keni95851
      @keni95851 8 місяців тому

      @zeromagnum2811 no but the nfl is still the king because it produces an amazing product that people of even bygone eras still loves. Wrestling can't say that save for the hardest of hardcore fan.
      The bloodline, people are calling that the goat 🐐 of stories and its like yeah man whatever. Austin, Flair, even Hogan had an air of believability. This Bloodline stuff, specifically from Roman, is so overacted it takes you out of it. I can believe Heyman as a weasel, I don't believe Roman as some wrestling "godfather" it's forced and it's phony as shit. Austin vs Vince, Flair vs Bischoff, you FELT that. No one "feels" this, they play along. That's the difference between when it was good and now.

    • @zeromagnum2811
      @zeromagnum2811 8 місяців тому

      @@keni95851 only reason you felt it was because the internet hadn't killed kayfabe yet and everyone didnt know it was scripted so no fan knew what a Work meant in regards to wrestling except marks that subscribed to meltzer. All the guys you named operated in kayfabe especially Hogan and Flair to the point they lived their gimmick. Every fan is in on the fact its a scripted work so instead of watching and enjoying it everyone is a critic holding it to a standard it can never be again because everyone knows its a work and kayfabe is dead. You can only feel it now if you let yourself. And Roman has done well with this gimmick. To say he hasn't or its phony is nitpicking because you know its a work. Those guys you named majority of fans in that era didnt know it was a work so they had a different level of belief behind their gimmicks. Nowadays everyone festers in negativity and criticism instead of trying to enjoy something. That's the main difference.

      @@keni95851 Was because it was presented with kayfabe whether anyone knew or not. But kayfabe is dead and isnt used anymore. Everything is internet dirtsheets and smart mark rage online over whatever. But at that time there were some that still didnt fully know. Nobody works with giving a perception that its real anymore like they did in the attitude era and early ruthless aggression period. As soon as the show is over the wrestlers post as themselves on social media or speak in interviews openly so it removes that ability to overlook the work unless you just take it for what it is now. The internet ruined kayfabe perception forever and its not coming back. The perception of the NWO being WWF invading Nitro, And the Austin/Mcmahon feud, to The rock and mankind ect. None of it can ever be duplicated and wrestling will never be like that again. But the issue you have is you want it to be that way because that era spoiled you. Which is why you specifically mentioned Rock and Austin. It spoiled me too and i spent years bashing the product for not being like it used to be before i just accepted it for what it is because i love wrestling. That era was a once in a lifetime thing and it will never be again. Holding anything to that standard will only disappoint you and create a negative mindset about anything that comes after it.

    In regards to the thumbnail,
    There's nothing but stars on the left (red) side,
    But as far the right (blue) side goes,
    Only Reigns, Orton, McIntyre, and Priest look like stars.
    The rest are just overrated indie jobbers!

    You guys can't understand why WWE would have Rock at WrestleMania etc etc, and I can't understand what you both are missing here. Somehow, it seems lost on you both that this may be something Rock wants to do for his cousin and the business, and WWE is just the beneficiary. Rock always talks about the thrill he gets (or the goosebumps) when he performs in front of a WWE crowd, and what bigger crowd would he want than a WrestleMania? Also, I'm betting he goes into the HOF, so this is the best send-off both WWE & Rock could give each other. Cody will be there for at least another 3 WrestleManias, Rock at his age most likely will not.

      Everyone already knows that. It's literally the playbook for 39 years, what Conrad and Eric are saying is that new markets and growth arent in NA. They're everywhere else, this market is tapped.
