I really like my new mercenarys but the left lense touches my cheek at the bottom of the lense and the right one is fine, anyone got any tips for this?
You have a bigger head but it’s still a slim narrower head. I’m looking for someone with a wider head. What do you recommend? I thought the XL meant for bigger WIDER head people but it just means XL lens.
Hey, great video! I really like the Mercenary but I'm inclined to chose the Flak 2.0 XL becaause I'd like a 24k or Rose gold Prizm polarised lens. Does the Mercenary come in any of those colours?
Hi Damien! There are lens options under the PRIZM banner that boast low VLT percentages and offer some relief for people with TBI and high photosensitivity, such as the Prizm Black Polarized (11%), Prizm Deep Water Polarized (12%), & Prizm Road Black (11%). It's difficult to say with authority whether a certain lens will provide enough relief to the wearer without knowing more about the problems associated with the specified diagnosis. BUT you can give us a call and speak with a licensed optician who can answer your questions and help find a reliable solution for your eyewear needs 👉 877.289.2999
Hello Jamie! We can make custom Oakley authentic prescription lenses for the Mercenary. The lenses are also interchangeable but it is such a new model that replacement lenses are not yet available for it. Please let us know how we can help you out!

Hello Guys! Thanks for the vid! I have one question, I'm upgrading from an Oakley Split Jacket which is in its last legs and served me well. I really like it's wrap,( the coverage and the way it gives me a peripheral view), wondering if the Mercenary or Flak has the same base curvature as the split jackets? Thanks.
Hi Andres! Thanks for tuning in. The Flak 2.0 XL has a similar base curve and we would recommend that over the Mercenary because it is more comfortable. Hope this helps!
@@sportrxeyewear Hi! Thanks for replying! I was leaning towards the Flak 2.0 XL and I thought it's probably the closest to the split jacket. Thanks for the recommendation! :)
I think I will order the mercenarys. Hey Rob what prescription tint where you wearing during the start of this video. I'm looking for a prescription with light tint I can use in the office and at my computer. Thanks
Hi there Robbie! Thanks for the love! Andrew is wearing the Mercenary in Polished Black with PRIZM Grey lenses. You can learn more about the Mercenary here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-mercenary.html
Hello! We do too! The size of the lens is awesome for coverage but the one downside is the lack of non-polar PRIZM rx options. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you out with: www.sportrx.com/contact
Hi there! He is wearing the Oakley Elmont and those are custom SportRx lenses! Feel free to reach out to one of our certified opticians if you are interested in getting a similar setup: www.sportrx.com/contact
Tried the Mercenary but found them to be a bit too tight on my head (likewise the Sliver did the same). Found frames like the Holbrook XL, Clifden, and Wire Tap 2.0 to be more comfortable for my head size. Curious if the Flak 2.0 XL would be noticeable in terms of being bigger for my head size.
Hmmm. The Flak 2.0 XL is right on the edge. It is a bit too tight for Rob's face. The 'XL' actually refers to the extended lens height rather than the fit of the frame. I would contact one of our certified opticians for a second opinion: www.sportrx.com/contact
@@sportrxeyewear I picked up a pair of matte black XL with deep water lens (reminds me of the prizm daily, but warmer). It fits pretty comfortably and while the right side of the arm is closer to my face there's still a gap so it doesn't feel like it's pushing either way. I also love how the XL lens doesn't mess with my peripheral and does pretty decent at covering the side light source. The lens also have a nice clean cut off where they end far as my eyes can seem, whereas the Wire Tap 2.0 with the daily there's a distortion/ripple effect at the edge of the lens that can be a little disorienting if my eyes wander to the edge of coverage. So seems like the Flak 2.0 in general would work, but definitely like that extra lens coverage.
Hey I appreciate the videos and the information. I am officially compared. I am also a golfer. I can't afford flak 2.0. What is and more affordable option Oakley that I can put that golf Prizm lenses in?
Hello Michael! You can always check out the Targetline in polished Black with PRIZM Golf at $153: www.sportrx.com/oakley-targetline.html The Targetline was specifically designed with Golf in mind. You can learn more about the Targetline here: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-target-line-review/ Thanks for reaching out!
Indeed! But be sure to get a PRIZM polarized lens to cut glare if you will be using them for water activities. You can learn more about PRIZM polarized here: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-prizm-polarized/
Hi there! That is matte black but we also have an exclusive matte carbon colorway you can check out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-sportrx-flak-2-0-xl-limited-edition.html
Hello there! We recommend PRIZM Black Polarized for super sunny conditions. The model depends on what you will be using the sunglasses for. If they are for casual wear, the Oakley Holbrook is a popular choice: www.sportrx.com/oakley-holbrook.html If you are using them for sports then the Flak 2.0XL is a great choice: www.sportrx.com/oakley-flak-2-0-xl.html The Mercenary falls right between the two with a casual look but sport features. Hope this helps! If you need more advice on what sunglasses to get you can always contact one of our certified opticians here: www.sportrx.com/contact Thanks for reaching out!

Yes it is! You can scope it out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-mercenary.html
Flak 2.0 XL is my personal favourite. Most awesome colour is the Ruby Fade one. It is sporty looking but still very cool.

You said the mercenary has bigger lenses than the Flak 2.0 XL. Does this mean it provides better coverage for bicycling?
Hi Rob! Yes, it will provide a bit more coverage then the Flak 2.0 XL.
I personally like the flak2.0 xl frame because it can accommodate my prescription that is a -5.00 total power!!
Exactly! You bring up a great point for any prescription wearers out there!
How did you do this, please explain.
my prescription is -2.5 and this specific lens for flak 2.0 cannot be done
how are you using those -5.00??
i have both there both great!!!
That's amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Mercenary...hmmm....i don have this...where im from........
