I think these balls are geared more towards higher swing speeds which is probably why i enjoy them. Durability wise they have been some of the most durable balls I've used
That's a real possibility. If that is the case then I wish they would advertise it a little bit better. It seems to be advertised for the average crowd. I do appreciate you leaving this feedback though. I'll have to have tell that one of my faster swinging friends try it and see if it's any better
@@GolfBallAddict nothing wrong with that. I also really enjoy the srixon Z star a lot but it’s nice to spend $30 a box for the Bridgestone instead of $50
Different results with different players is common. One of my findings with this golf ball is that it was un-necessarily firm. With numbers like you have, I am estimating your swing speed to be about 108 MPH, which is pretty darn high. That's probably a good indicator of why you are having a little more success than I did.
9i total distance is 125 yds vs 7i total distance is 161 yds. That is 36 yds difference between two clubs and maybe a loft check ? I have played this ball for a while and really like it. It’s spiny enough for me and it’s just as long as my other urethane cover balls. Good video thanks!
My normal 9 iron is about 125, and my 8 is usually 140, and my 7 is usually 155. Usually a 15 yard difference per club. It's a little higher than I would like, but it is what it is.
The problem is that Bridgestone used to make a E12 Soft and an E12 Speed. Bridgestone tried to combine those into the E12 Contact and get by with only making one golf ball and just missed the mark. They took a shot and missed.
Liked off the driver, firm and long. Liked of the irons softer feel. Soft feel with putter. However, with wedges in hand on firm greens it will not hold, too much roll out for Me. I cannot get away from a urethane covered 3-4 pc. Ball. Chromesoft X LS is the best ball for me.😊
My only issue I’ve had is adjusting to my feel of the ball when putting. It’s pretty noticeable and somewhat uncomfortable for me. Other than that it helped me immensely off the tee and approach shots.
When you say “I don’t like it that it’s going from right to left” do you mean that because of the writing on the alignment tool? In other words if instead of e12 the writing was xxx or 000 or anything symmetrical then you would be able to aim the ball better towards the cup. Personally, I think it’s a silly reason for criticising a golf ball.
I've been using the e12 soft. Really like how the golf balls perform except for the cover. The cover gets a lot of scuffs and scratches for me. A little too much. It takes more damage than I prefer.
At $30 /dz i expected more as well. I bought this to help with my slice and did not love it. Didnt hate it but didnt love it either. I actually went out and bought maxfli tour cg at 2 dz for $60. I actually love this ball. Urethane cover, nice flight and checks on green. This is my new game ball. I hit 100mph swing like regular over the x version. I like a softer feeling ball to hit amd putt. Only downside is the side aligment stamp does remind me of a range ball stamp.
Glad to see my findings on both balls is the same as others like you. I also did the 2 dozen for $60 figuring I had nothing to lose. I am very surprised and please with the maxfli balls.
Im curious what these numbers are being compared to?..113 mph ball speed for a 5 iron is low?? What swing speed are you using for comparison?? I just bought a dozen of these so Im gonna compare my numbers to yours. was hoping for a better review..
My numbers are compared to my numbers. I've tested dozens of golf balls over the last two and a half years. My average ball speed with a five hybrid is somewhere in the 117 mile an hour range. So losing four mile per hour on a ball is a big deal.
Something. Not exactly sure why it tested so bad. I just know everybody who's played it seems to hate it. I have had request to review the new 2023 model. So maybe they made some improvements
Very disappointed with these numbers. When I lived in the UK I enjoyed playing Bridgestone balls. Now in Thailand I buy what are on offer. Inesis are being used at the moment. Will try some Precept soon after your comments.
Yeah I was so surprised. What's even crazier is that out of four times testing this ball, these were actually the best numbers from all four testings. Even with this advantage it still couldn't even get to average.
I think would really help if you share your club head speed with us I've hit e6 and e12 with drivers, (I'm about a 95-99mph club speed) but i tend hit on the toe They're generally quite forgiving in terms of spin(lower spin for a driver) and travels straight enough with good distance on not so clean hits
Agreed! Swing speed is huge when deciding balls. 10mph swing speed will totally change which balls preform better. I'm a mid handicapper and swing 110-114mph with my driver, I can get an extra 10-20 yards out of a firm ball like a Velocity but I lose alot of control. Thinking I should be finding which ball is softest and highest spin so I can hit more fairways.
LOL that's hilarious. I don't know how the newer versions are feeling, but when I tested it a couple years ago it was one of the worst feeling balls out there
Who is buying these? These are decent at $20/dozen but just not good enough at $30/dozen. At that price, there are too many options. I'm not sure I wouldn't take the Top Flite Gamer for $5 less than these. It's only a 2 piece golf ball but I would take the Taylormade Distance + for $10 less. The CUT DC golf balls just destroy these at same price and even the CUT Red at $10/dozen (at Walmart) beats these numbers.
That's an amazing point. The cut dc is light years better than the E12. I agree, I've tested a lot of two piece balls that performed better than the E12.
Thank you everyone for your support!

Honestly I have played pretty much all the golf balls and this Bridgestone is definitely in my top three favorites
There is the occasional person who really enjoys the 12. I mean they keep making it so someone has to like it. Just not for me though
@@GolfBallAddict nothing wrong with that. I also really enjoy the srixon Z star a lot but it’s nice to spend $30 a box for the Bridgestone instead of $50
I get good results with this ball. My 9 iron goes 145 and 7 iron 165 carry with no problem stopping it. I was surprised with the review.

@@GolfBallAddict im stickin with my b rx and b rxs , no sense in going backwards. love bridgestone
I like this e12 because it goes straight than any golf balls I hit even with the prov1 .
Just out of curiosity what's your swing speed?
For some reason I absolutely love this ball. Little surprised by your results.
I've heard the new 2023 model is better, but I haven't had the chance to test it yet
I’ve had very good results with this ball as well. For a harder cover I’m getting plenty of spin and it goes straighter off driver

That makes sense. Sometimes you take a big swing and hit a home run, and sometimes you miss.
Your graphic showed it has a urethane cover. I agree, for any ball over 25 bucks a dozen its gotta be urethane
Oh my bad. Thank you for pointing that out.

This is my exact experience. Far too much roll on firm greens for my liking. Hard to find consistency.
My only issue I’ve had is adjusting to my feel of the ball when putting. It’s pretty noticeable and somewhat uncomfortable for me. Other than that it helped me immensely off the tee and approach shots.
Putting was weirdly uncomfortable with this ball. Don't know why
Good, honest review. In your opinion, which ball you’ve tested is most forgiving for mishits?
Titlist trusoft, q star tour, precept laddie. Just three off the top of my head that I've done.
Good review GBA! Confirms my recent disappointing experience with this ball. How about Wilson Triad or Maxfli Straight Fli next?
Thank you! The triad is coming soon!

I understand your argument. However when it comes to the e12 there's very few good things I can say about it.
Fair enough… there is nothing wrong with standing behind your beliefs 👍

Great videos btw!

Love the vids! Can u do a review on the Wilson 50 Elite. I hear its a sleeper, would love to hear your thoughts

This ball has a lot of spin!!!!!!! Sidespin as well. Should be marketed as a "less than 90 mph swing speed" and not less than 105.

@@GolfBallAddict yet the Precept , probably Bridgestone budget ball gave excellent results.
I'm stuck between the Bridgestone E12 Contact, Maxfli Straightfli, Callaway SuperSoft Max I have a horrible slice any recommendations?
Stay away from the e12. Straightfli is your best bet. The super soft will go too high.

E6 is an amazing ball. Nah to the contact!
Agree 100%
239 for a driver?
I'm not sure if you are implying that this number is low or high. But average driver distance across all men is 220. Men under 30 average is 239.

you suck around the greens. You should have three go to shots with a 58 degree wedge.
My short game is actually one of my best attributes. I do a variety of testing with different wedges to gage spin.
Have a great day
